I've spend a week on Koh Chang last November.. watching these videos from behind my desk from a rainy and cold Holland, it makes me want to go back so bad. It just was paradise. So I grabbed a beer and enjoyed your videos on these islands recently, true paradise.
Paddy, you did it again, making a wonderfully beautiful video of Koh Kood. My wife and I had a lovely and very relaxing 3 day stay in the middle of a 2 week adventure on Koh Chang. We found Koh Kood just as you described, very relaxing, laid back and not crowded at all, even during high season. We will return for sure.
You were a huge inspiration for us to move to Thailand, and now, after a couple of years, to even create our own short movie about Koh Kood ;) Thank you, Paddy, and Merry Christmas! Stay healthy and good luck with new adventures! 🎄🏝
I Visited Thailand in 2015 and 2006 and my best experiences was Ko Chang island and Ko Phi Phi island with combining a full day at Maya Bay (the beach movie done over there) I can't wait to travel to Thailand again. It is definitely one of the best places on planet earth for a relaxing vacation and awesome experience. In this video right now, gave me a taste of More and next time for sure I will visit Koh Kood island 🏝️
Another stunning video! You, Sir, are a very talented filmmaker. The music is so much better than most UA-cam channels. So grateful to have found your channel!
Hiya Paddy. The plunge pool is perfect. And the place you are staying. Beautiful place to stay. Need this in my life right now. Gorgeous place. B B Beach. Wow. Tree roots amaze me. How they hold a massive tree up. Although this tree came down in a storm. Gorgeous beach. Stunning. K C waterfall. Gorgeous. Love watching your adventures. All the stunning places you share with us. Gorgeous footage. You are one of the best content creators. Always appreciate your drone footage. Brilliant. Definitely a paradise. Love the fireshow. Lovely, relaxing place to relax. Great advice. Love your videos. Thank you for sharing. I hope you have a great week.
I was there 5 weeks ago with my girlfriend and loved the island . Very quiet and little traffic. The beaches are beautiful and we will definitely be returning . Great video, keep up the great work. It was another one of your videos that gave us the inspiration to go to Koh Chang and then catch the catamaran ferry to Koh Kood. Such a relax holiday, thanks.
Paddy, another great video, thank you. We visited Koh Kood in 2020. We found that a bike was a must, as taxi /trucks were expensive and not spontaneous, when exploring. I omitted to tell my Thai girlfriend that I'd never driven an auto-scooter before. Just take it slowly. We found a great little restaurant, which we used for at least 3 lunches at a small resort called Rest Sea Resort & Restaurant. Hours passed as we ate / drank, just watching the sea and guests coming and going. You didn't mention that it's Thailand's last island before Cambodia. Yes, a bit of a trek from Bangkok, but worth the effort. We took a couple of interlinked buses. Great drone shots, Paddy.
Thanks Paddy for another great video of remote tranquil areas in Thailand... and especially providing a Google Map location pin.... so many YT channels clickbait for the "best beach in Thailand" and never provide the location of where they stay or visited during the video... Love Koh Kood, Koh Mak and Koh Chang area as its easy to visit from Jomtien....
Absolutely loved Koh Kood. Was going to go for a week and stayed for three. Was the perfect balance, like you say, and just what the doctor ordered. Highly recommend it and definitely worth the effort to get there.
I visited Koh Mak ( nearby) and loved the tranquility. Road a bicycle around- no cars. I am no longer into the night life so I didn’t mind the lack of bars.
I’ve went 3 times to Thailand, and I still wanting to go again as many times as needed because each time I adventure a bit outside the normal touristic places it’s always a great experience and worth much more than the crowded places 😅 koh kood is on the list for one of the next trips 😊
Love your videos ! Thank you so much🙏. We have already booked Tolani Resort and are looking foward to go to this wonderful paradise Island (next march). Greetings from Costa Brava (Spain)
Staying at Tolani and got upgraded to the same room. Fantastic. Been following since Dreamy and you got separated on the way to Hat Yai. You have inspired many trips such as phi chi fah
Nice video Paddy! Thank you for showing our favorite Thai vacation spot. Because I don`t have a drone I don`t have such a good material to show but being there much more times I really know this island and I`m happy you liked it too. By the way it is much easier and cheaper to take private or shared taxi right from Suvarnabhumi to the pier and you`ll be there in about 4,5 hours and then 1,5 hours ferry trip. It`s more enjoyable in my mind. You can walk in several stops and have some beers or food or what ever you like, sunbathing on the top floor of the ferry with your own cold drinks and so on...
Great idea, Paddy. I’ve done a fair few of the islands, but so many more in the lonely planet I always wanted to tick off! Probably never will. So a series like this is great 👍🏻
Welcome to the paradise 🙏 that’s my favorite island. I’ve been there already over 7 months together 🐳 it’s like a big island community with everyday changing tourists on the beaches
Hey paddy, koh kood is truly beautiful. We have stayed twice with our family (3 kids). You can catch a minivan/bus from near koh San rd which takes you directly to speed boat terminal. We stayed on the last beach you filmed at analay resort. It is a very laid back flashpacker type place with excellent food. Really chilled place would highly recommend ❤
Was there in February. As mentioned very quiet, we stayed 2 1/2 days which for me was enough. It is a very nice island but not a lot to do. Seems to be popular with Bangkok Thais.
I absolutely loved Koh Kood. It was beautiful, and there were more Thai people there then farang, at least when I was there in Feb 2022. Like Paddy says it's just big enough to have something to do, or nothing 😁 The only drawback I encountered there were the sand fleas. They were numerous and abundant on all the beaches. I ran into a farang at the Deck bar that said he had a secret formula that worked wonders at keeping them away, but he wouldn't share it. Don't fall for traps like that.
@PaddyDoyle Hope you see this question because I’m struggling to find an answer. Is Koh Kood affected by the smoky season? Looking at going in the first 2 weeks of February.
Good honest review at the end PD .... PD one of the best in the business for all things Thai (and elsewhere) ... The anonymous Masked Man Zorro coming in second .. Otherwise known as STL ... I won't give full name here as don't want people diverting from PDs channel (-:
Hey Paddy , i stay only on Koh Chang every year , but people tell me about big Problems with sandflys , but i am not Sure it was Koh Kood or Koh Mak, what is your experience about that ?
Hi Paddy, Enjoying the videos so much. But how do you get such good rates for the rooms. I'm looking for Australia and coming in January for a month to Bangkok and want to do a few 3 night away trips. Looking at the Pool Villa keeps on coming up as over 21,500THB per night doesn't matter if I tried booking in January or next May. Is it because you are booking from inside Thailand???
Another great video Paddy. I'd like to buy one of your T shirts but the postage charge is based on America but I live in Thailand. Is there a cheaper delivery option?
I saw on the map that Koh Kood is actually closer to BKK than all of the other islands in South Thailand that I know of. I would be interested to see what is the most direct way to get there from BKK...
you can actually go to koh kood by bus and ferry as well, right? I think we should all think very critically about taking inland flights, so I'd avoid taking such a short flight from Trat.
Paddy, you seem down in spirit! Feels like you making videos not for joy, but for sake of making videos. Feels like a burnout and you need deserved rest and peace.
I don't know how u have managed to live out here for so long as a British born man??? The hostility i encountered by the Thi people has put me off of ever coming back here.
No mention of Sandflies! Kod Kood is undoubtedly beautiful but is ruined by Sandflies. Both my wife and I were bitten all over after spending a day lounging at one of the beaches. Thankfully for some reason they left my daughter alone. These things are 100 times itchier than mosquito bites. Completely ruined our holiday. Paddy, I'm disappointed you don't want people about this. Love the show.
Paddy. Love your work and followed you for years but please STOP telling people where you visit and leave the beautiful places unheard. All you're doing is sending more people to spoil the best places. Might be good for your YT income bit everyone that creates the same thing as you and invites nob heads to the un touched places are just ruining them.
Nooo! Don’t go to Koh Kood, or you’ll end up spending all your days lazily lying on the beach next to the calmest and most turquoise sea in Thailand, with only a few expats and locals as company.

My favorite island in Thailand.
it really is a great island!
I was on Koh Kood in 2003 the first time when nearly noone knew it. It was breathtaking.

Koh Kood is the best place on earth. Spend 2 weeks there last December and its by far the most beautiful of all the islands i ve visited in the past.
Best place on earth.....R U drunk....that island so boring

Great advice. Love your videos. Thank you for sharing.
I hope you have a great week.
ah thanks Nicky~!!! have a great week too!
@@PaddyDoyle. thank you 🙏
I am liking the format of these last couple of videos. Definitely got me thinking of some alternatives to Koh Samui for this winters island time.
Awesome shots, and composition. There's a ton of great editing that went into this, probably not appreciated by everyone. Nice work.

I was lucky to live in Koh Kood for 2 years back before any Western tourists. It's great to see that it remains low-key and still has a natural feel.
Paddy, another great video, thank you. We visited Koh Kood in 2020. We found that a bike was a must, as taxi /trucks were expensive and not spontaneous, when exploring. Our first time visiting Koh Kood in February, will definitely go back
It really looks like a beautiful tropical paradise. Definitely bucket list type of place! Thank you for sharing :)
Absolutely loved Koh Kood. Was going to go for a week and stayed for three. Was the perfect balance, like you say, and just what the doctor ordered. Highly recommend it and definitely worth the effort to get there.
Paddy the drone footage is really on point here! Fantastic video. Inspired to check out many of the islands you've shown us :)
thanks mate!
Loved the summary at the end. You gave us your honest take with the pros and cons. Great video Paddy! The island was outstanding
I visited Koh Mak ( nearby) and loved the tranquility. Road a bicycle around- no cars. I am no longer into the night life so I didn’t mind the lack of bars.
Paddy this is a brilliant production what a place you truly are number one and proved it once again !

On my way there in October and can’t wait! Thanks
Very good Paddy. Enjoy your videos as always. All look like beautiful places to go and relax😊 🌴 ☀️ have you moved permanently to Thailand yet😎

Thanks Paddy for another great vid 🇹🇭🙏🏻
I like the slippery path to the waterfall

Hi Paddy, love your videos -Just wondering do you get mosquito bites and what repellent do you recommend
You have become a true drone master! Wow
Bloody love a good salmon off bang bao pier
Cheers as always paddy,,,,
Thank you for showing us these places…👍
This is one of the very few Thai islands that I didn't visit due to the fact it is quite difficult to get there - it is quite close to Cambodia
lovely plunge pool at the hotel
Which month was this??? Looks so great
Beautiful place and a fishing pole paradise! Thanks Mate. One question is that waterfall fresh water or brackish?
Amazing Island, loved it there. Will be featured in my new Thailand series as well
Love this island. Been there 2 months ago 😍

Great video, Paddy. My kind of place.
That's where i stayed Paddy , Siam , absolutely beautiful 😊
Love your vlogs Paddy....rewatched The Budgeteers India and was wondering how are Thijs and Lina are doing??????
Paddy, would you say 1 week island hopping is enough? All 4 islands?
Nice video but can you tell me ( because I have forgotten) what e-sim do you recommend?
Cheers
🙂... amazing...going to Koh Kood in October ... 👍
is it for families with two kids? both under 5
I have also visited this beautiful island, have you visited Waterfalls on Koh Kood too?
🙂❤👍Another Beautiful Adventure Thank You Paddy Doyle 🙂
How were the sand flies? Did you have problems with being bitten? Great vid cheers 🥂🐨
Paddy, one quick question. These islands paradises you've been visiting and enjoying, are they all considered safe for solo travellers?
I know Kood very well and can surely say that this island,as well as the whole thai islands is safe for solo travellers.Enjoy Thailand!
Great resort…whe went there last year. In your video was no lokal restaurants to see😢
Thank Bro .. I Love it
@PaddyDoyle Hope you see this question because I’m struggling to find an answer. Is Koh Kood affected by the smoky season? Looking at going in the first 2 weeks of February.
Which equipment do you use for your overhead videos(drone, camera, etc.)?
Paddy knocks it out the park with yet another wonderful video. Thanks so much PD. Make sure you subscribe and share this work! :-) 🙏
I Love Koh Kood 🥰
bro . . . go to Japan next, I need your vids before i visit there in 5 weeks lol
If you want to visit waterfall in Koh Kood, the raining season is the best. The waterfalls will have much less water in other seasons.
Oh …ups i push like … 3000 appers . Well Beautyful Footage .. Regards from Laax …❤

Love your presentation so beautiful vedio
Is life as a solo traveller lonely ? or is Mrs P behind the scenes ? I can't imagine travelling to all these beautiful places alone .
He does it all the time...lonely boy😢
Hi Paddy,

Looking at the Pool Villa keeps on coming up as over 21,500THB per night doesn't matter if I tried booking in January or next May. Is it because you are booking from inside Thailand???
When you book directly at the resorts, prices are better, plus Paddy is traveling in low season which is cheaper than high season
Another great video Paddy. I'd like to buy one of your T shirts but the postage charge is based on America but I live in Thailand. Is there a cheaper delivery option?
I appreciate that but sadly no they are all shipped from the USA. Just watching the videos is enough support for me
last summer I went there but it rained every day😭
I saw on the map that Koh Kood is actually closer to BKK than all of the other islands in South Thailand that I know of. I would be interested to see what is the most direct way to get there from BKK...
Ferry from Trat Province or fly direct to the island (but that's only possible if you stay at Soneva)
how long does it take to travel from koh chang to koh kood? 😊
the ferry took about 30 mins from Koh Mak - from the mainland maybe 60 mins, and from Koh Chang I would say 45 - 60 mins depending on the weather.
@@PaddyDoyle. okay thank you very much. keep up the youtube good video and always good information👍🇹🇭
@@PaddyDoyle.unless the boat sinks!!!! Ha!
you can actually go to koh kood by bus and ferry as well, right? I think we should all think very critically about taking inland flights, so I'd avoid taking such a short flight from Trat.
Beautiful
it is!
is there anything on this channel anymore that is not a paid for advert?
Paddy you would look better in red and blue, shall I send you a West Ham shirt?
Bomba!
Paddy, you seem down in spirit!
Feels like you making videos not for joy, but for sake of making videos. Feels like a burnout and you need deserved rest and peace.

Wow, you do 1000% more than Cheap Charlie.
I don't know how u have managed to live out here for so long as a British born man??? The hostility i encountered by the Thi people has put me off of ever coming back here.
Would you say it's difficult to get around on any of the islands if you aren't driving a scooter? It's because I don't have a driver's licence.
I'd say a scooter is an absolute necessity in the Trat province Islands. But you don't really need a license to rent.
