    I love how people here start making excuses. Just deal with the facts. The man fought both Foreman and Shavers. He knew. You have no clue. He took their punches. You didn't. Besides he ain't the only man to make the claim that Shavers was the hardest hitter. There is no shame what so ever for Foreman to be placed second.

George had it all a very good chin ,, toughness and a mauling punch ,, the Rone Lyle and George Foreman fight showed how tough George was .... :-)

      Yes that was a good fight Ron Lyle and foreman earnie shaver's fought Ron Lyle to that was a good fight also but the secret to why foreman and earnie shaver's hit so hard like that is because they would use this wrist exercise with chopping down trees and it makes the grip in you're wrist stronger that's the secret to knocking someone out because the rotation of the wrist as the punch is being thrown a little guy can knockout a big guy just by doing that excercise alone in a street fight because if you have the skill and know how to throw slip block and move from punches you will know how to use you're fist and hit a pressure point and put a big man to sleep but they both hard it just depends on what the other fighter tells us because we are not in the middle of the ring so it can be anyone choice who fought them because they know how it feels

      @@glenglen4018 yes Shavers hit way harder than Foreman, and that’s exactly what i thought Foreman has to be the hardest puncher after Shavers (arguebly after Sonny Liston too but i believe George hit harder than Liston), so Shavers the hardest puncher and Foreman second hardest puncher but if u think about it in order to make difference in punching power u have to hit significantly harder, otherwise u can’t really make difference, this is the first argument by logic, second is watch Leroy caldwell who fought Shavers Foreman and Ron Lyle, i can tag u on the vid if u couldn’t find it, he said that Shavers hit way harder than Foreman and that they had different type of punches, Foreman got devastating heavy punches Shavers got shocking punch, Foreman dropped Caldwell 4-5 times before referee stopped it Shavers knocked Caldwell out cold and as caldwell said they were taking his gloves off and he wanted to put them on since he had no idea that fight was already over

      There are three components of punching power it's Mass, Acceleration and brute Force, Incase of Foreman and Shavers, they are both hardest puncher in the history but Shavers has just more acceleration in his punches so he isn't totally hit alot harder than most of people though, Shavers might be more explosive but Foreman have heavier hands, his punches acceleration isn't that fast and explosive but somehow he can manage to make his opponent sleep with that lesser amount of acceleration thru his punches soo i might say Shavers hit really hard but his punching power wasn't that far from Foreman's

      @@DiscordCipherwrong, Shavers hit way harder than foreman that it’s not even close. With foreman we can see the power in his build and in his training and fights. Shavers who was very small and regular built 208 6ft with no outstanding features hit way harder than him. No one even hesitated or had to think who hit way harder. On top of that mercer Tyson Klitschko etc have to be considered harder punchers than foreman as the fights show and what the fighters who fought both said.

      @ If Foreman could have knocked out Norton in one round it would have happened. In the 70’s George Foreman wasn’t the type of fighter who decided to prolong a fight. If he could have he would have.

Ron Lyle knocked out Shavers in 6. Foreman knocked out Lyle in 5. Foreman was bigger and stronger than Shavers . Norton was in his prime when he lost to Foreman and past his prime and older and slower when he lost to shavers. Shavers was also soundly beaten by journey man heavyweight Bob Stallings in 1974. Ernie Shavers did not have a good chin, otherwise he would have been champion forever. Also, Geroge Foreman cheated against Joe Frazier by constantly pushing him.

    Shavers MAYBE had more pop in his overhand right but that's all he had. Did he ever throw a body punch? ALL of George's were hard, him and Liston probably had the 2 strongest jabs in history, and the amazing thing was big George's punches were not thrown technically correct. I forget who it was but he's got a video here who saw both Shavers and Marciano live and said Marciano had the strongest punch. Its very very hard to tell punching power because punches are so different, Shavers and Foreman both had different styles of punches. I believe big George was the strongest fighter to ever step into a ring.

Holmes gives shavers credit and so does Ali claiming he’s a good fighter that went all the way and Holmes saying he was skilled and could box. I also believe foreman could beat Shavers. But I’d listen to the guys who were actually there. You also contradicted yourself, foreman being more powerful then saying shavers hit harder, then Ali literally said the words shavers was stronger than foreman.

    • @marleywills2160
      @marleywills2160 2 місяці тому +1

      @hassanx9423 strength and hitting hard and being powerful are different. In terms of punching, Foreman would lift you off your feet with his power. But Shavers would shock you with his power. It's a different punch. Foremans were heavy punches that made you go flying, Shavers would go through you but wouldn't lift you off your feet.
      For instance, Mike Tyson was more powerful because of the speed in which he punched being very explosive but clearly didn't hit as hard as Foreman or Shavers
