Hey there, this video really cleared up the mystery of keeping male and female bettas together. I never thought it could work, but now I'm tempted to try with the right setup. The part about distractions with tank mates and live food was smart didn't think of that
I personally think male and female Betta fish can live together in the same tank by using live food. When they got delicious meal they won't try to fight for each other... As a Betta fish lover, I appreciate this great video....
really very useful, friend, what you explained about whether male and female betta fish can live together is very useful, especially for beginners like me.
Offers a clear and helpful guide on whether male and female Betta fish can live together. A good explanation provides insight into how to maintain the welfare of Betta fish. A good source of information for ornamental fish fans
Brilliant insights! This video on Betta cohabitation is a game-changer, providing clear and effective guidance for creating a harmonious living space for male and female Bettas. A must-watch for a happy aquarium experience!
If I may ask, I have pretty specific questions and google isn't quite niche enough to get what I'm asking 😂 1. What size tank do you have? 2. Do you know the age of either fish? 3. Is your female much smaller than your male?
@layla101112 I have 2 females and a male. I got them within 2 weeks of eachother so probably close to the same age. I was keeping the male in a breeder until they all get use to eachother. I let him out today and he did fairly well however I put him back in the breeder so there aren't any overnight mishaps.
My female is too young i think and i just put an older male and he immediately made bubbles for breeding....i dont think the female is old enough to even spawn yet so i think i need a divider...he keeps chasing her and she swims away so fast that she hits the bottom kinda hard sometimes 😢
Informative video exploring the question: Can a male and female Betta live together? Your insights into the dynamics of Betta cohabitation provide valuable guidance for fish enthusiasts. Thanks for shedding light on the considerations for keeping these vibrant fish harmoniously!
This video explain the question, how male and female live each others. Male and female bettas fish coexist. It’s very helpful video about a Male And Female Betta Live Together. Fame and female breading.
This is really a very useful video. You have clearly explained the facts under this topic. Thank you very much for presenting such an important video. This video reviews many beautiful analogical foundations and this video is very beautiful and this video is considered very far.
Really a great content. Thanks for explaining everything cleary for Can A Male And Female Betta Live Together. you for providing such valuable information.thank for creating this amazing video.
My two bettas are doing amazing right now the female betta was added and no problems came around but they will only be in the same tank for a few days, I don’t just keeping female bettas with a male bettas for long periods of time but just for breeding or like what I’m doing is fine as long as they have good personalities etc.
I had a male and female betta in a 29 gallon tall tank with neon tetras, corydoras, cherry barb. With no aggression issues. They would hang around together like best friends😂.. but once I tried to breed them in a smaller tank. She destroyed his fins😢 they're both doing good now.👍
Great video! I have a tank with male and female adults along with younger generations from several different breeding pairs. Definitely have to watch full time as they grow to determine the aggressive ones early and separate to their own tanks. Worth the time and effort, would recommend 10/10 👌 Make sure you have a lot of extra tanks, btw 😅
Thank you for your comment and your response. Having Bettas who are related definetly will help a bunch. It's tricky but can be pulled off. I agree - have other tanks ready to go or friends ready to adopt if things go south!
same! lovely info, but i like hearing your voice, rather than this one, and rather than with the music. thanks so much for the video, though, i've been wondering about this exact thing!
I got 4 females Bettas and one male Betta in a 30 gallon tank and they all get along great. I have a well planted tank for them. I saved them all from PetSmart and Petco
I have a male and female beta fish and they all seem together along really good. Since the tank is big and densely planted, the fish seem to get along with each other it's fine. Thank you for sharing your insight and knowledge, that so helpful ❤
I have a male red crown fish Betta and he seems to want a female and I would like to give him someone to hang out with but I know they can be aggressive, territorial and don’t often like to share but if he wants it I wouldn’t mind giving it a go so I’ll be sure to give this video a watch before I consider it but I’m so grateful for this video and the information provided, thank you so much for your insight ❤
Trying to breed my beta and the female is puffing up and rubbing against the male. He is building a bubble nest and ignores her rubbing and she nips at him when he ignores her. Is that a sign they going to breed soon or gearing up to fight?
Hi there. The video I mentioned in the video did a harem in a 40 gallon tank. I think it’s possible if you follow his method. The link to their channel is in the description
I have a male and female living together and I have no issues. I had the male for much longer before introducing the female and he always had a calm personality. When I added the female he only snapped at her once and that was because she ate his food. I then separated them when feeding until they started drifting towards eachother when they ate and eat fine together now. They'll swim around eachother with no issues. My male will even let her eat first before he eats. They don't fight or anything they seem to like eachother and will follow eachother but not attack. They also both come up to the glass whenever they see me it's like they're puppies.
@AquariumStoreDepot it's a 10 gallon at the moment, which I know isn't great. I just got into the fish keeping hobby. I'm about to move up within the next week, though, to a 30-gallon. I'm gonna get the plants suggested in the video I currently have some random ones I found at petco. Everyone on the betta fish reddit was hounding me telling me to separate them immediately but I haven't seen my male this lively in a while he swims more with her there and seems genuinely happy now.
While keeping male and female bettas together in a large tank is possible, success is not guaranteed, and there are risks of aggression. Each betta has a unique personality, and careful observation is needed to ensure their well-being. It's recommended to stay vigilant, provide suitable hiding places, and be prepared to intervene if necessary.
Of course. It is pretty risky to attempt and I wouldn't recommend a beginner trying it. You also need a backup plan. Well said and thank you for sharing :).

I agree. I got 3 females. They only get violent when they're hungry. They eat my shrimp when I don't feed them on time or enough and get feisty.

Hi, I'm trying to figure out if my female is depressed! Could I ask you a couple questions?
If I may ask, I have pretty specific questions and google isn't quite niche enough to get what I'm asking 😂 1. What size tank do you have? 2. Do you know the age of either fish? 3. Is your female much smaller than your male?

I love this video, and I really like your all other videos as well but the background music in this one is killing me man
Thank you for your comment. Was it too loud or was it just not matching the video presentation for you?
@@AquariumStoreDepot it was both. I wanted to focus on the video, but couldn't because of the background music.
same! lovely info, but i like hearing your voice, rather than this one, and rather than with the music. thanks so much for the video, though, i've been wondering about this exact thing!

I am setting up a 60 gal tank. I already have 6 females in a 40gal. Can I add a male when I put them all in the 60?
