I personally have owned two sets of these gauges and They are terrible. They were awesome for around 4 to 6 months and slowly led’s would start going out till you will lose whole panel. There is no voltage regulation and the components are cheap. Save your self money and time and just buy Dakota digital. Two years strong and absolutely love my Dakota digital set.

I am currently in the process of doing this cluster swap in my 86 gmc k1500. I'm wondering if the wiring in my truck will be the same as it was in yours? @ 10:40 in the video you start going over what each wire in the factory harness is for. Think this will be the same for me? Thanks for the awesome video. I have a question why did you change your fuse blocks in the main harness?

    • @LonniesGarage

    • @TinnonFamilyFarm

Thx, was looking for an alternative to the much more expensive Dakota Digital setup. Been driving for around 10k miles with nothing but a voltmeter and an inaccurate fuel gauge. Just worried about the accuracy of the readouts on this. When you blipped the throttle it looked like it went to over 6k but sounded like it was only 4k to 5k and the voltage seems a bit high at 14.6

You can swap out that stock coolant sensor for a 1998 Camaro temp sensor. It has 3 wires that come from it. You will need to get the plug to match it. You will cut the stock plug off your harness and wire the new Camaro plug to it. The 3rd wire coming from it will go to the cluster for your temperature reading

I got the green LED, pretty excited to do the install. Did you contact Intellitronix directly to get the plug? I ordered my kit from Jegs, which came with no plugs

looks great , I don't know if my son wants to put something like that in my old truck , but it has an old 350 CID 010 block , I can't remember if you said they had a kit to be able to use that on an older engine or not , but I added this video to my diy play list . God Bless ..

No, he said it was idling too high. This person means the guage is reading too high overall. I agree, he revs it up and it almost goes to 8 grand?? Not on a stock LS.

Tach is def way off lol. This is a cool setup but that fuel saying a number instead of a normal E to F would drive me nuts lol

Sometimes when you get an aftermarket tachometer, you have to select the number of cylinders of the engine. That is because some of them are triggered by the ignition coil to distributor wire.
EDIT: I don't know how it works for engines with distributorless engines.
