Here's how to make a custom fiberglass dash or any other interior parts for your hot rod or custom car - Навчання та стиль
great vid mate! its a "dead" youtube vid but 6 years ago you understood the talking/doing ratio! Great work.
I honestly think some people hit the dislike button just for the hell of it because this is a great video and there is literally no reason to dislike it.
forreal, this is awesome
It's an Australian thumbs up
I think it's an awesome video and I hit the like button however I could see some people nitpicking and saying that it's not technically fiberglass because he didn't use fiberglass, he used felt or whatever it was and the resin...
For the MDF... I don’t care for that junk; use real, exposed, wood.
its probably the competition.
I was actually so frighten and stressed about making pieces fit, but the sway you showed making it made me relax and see i didnt have to make anything from scratch. Thanks! :)
That was stunning mate!!!!
Couldn’t believe how nice it came up!!!
Well done 👍
The finished dash you showed looked good! but I would have liked to see it installed. Great video! thanks for sharing!
Thanks for this. Best tutorial seen for a long time and great design perfectly constructed and finished.
That resin bondo mix is genius, I’ve gotta try that on my motorcycle parts and truck parts and everything
Thought it was going to come out bad but after the sanding and paint it looks great. I can only imagine how much better after the carbon fiber dip.
So clever nice job makes me feel like redoing my dashboard
super sick and no boring one of the best tutorial vids ive seennice job two thumps up
I just stumbled upon this because I was curious what it would take to make one look really nice and I am impressed. Yeah takes a while and some care but that's why it looks like this and not like cardboard. Plus glad to see all the steps and the explanation.
Finished product looks phenomenal! Great video!
Nice looking dash and the Rondo is a great bonus tip!!! Thanks!!!
Great video, Dash looks great. Thanks
Fantastic process!!!! Very easy to transfer to other applications and custom needs. Thanks for sharing!
if you like this one, be sure to check out my fiberglass engine bay and full custom interior videos using this same method
I did see that one as well. Thinking about doing a custom Engine Cover for an LS swap that I am doing on a Jeep. Since it is just a decorative piece, I am sure your method would be awesome for this. I like the idea of a felt first layer. Sweet!
It'll work for just about anything that isn't a structural part of the car....however I should point out that you should use fleece, and not felt....two very different fabrics and if you try to use felt you are going to be cursing at me haha
This is one of the few videos on youtube that is actually worth the watch. there are so many shitty glassers out there
Love the technique, I'm already inspired for many projects that I could adapt this to. The fleece over multiple materials to tie them together is outstanding. Just in this video alone: MDF, Plastic, and Metal married by Fabric and Bondo! Brilliant! Especially stronger than vacum forming on a DIY level. Thanks for sharing.
awesome! Glad to be of help!
Just want you to know that, by referencing this video along with the videos from another channel, I was able to successfully apply your process to my entire Chevy truck dash pad which was completely annihilated by the sun. Thanks for taking the time to make this video, your efforts are greatly appreciated!!!
Glad to hear that and glad to know I helped to save an old Chevy!
NICE results, If I change my 2..3 for a 302 this might be a good add on and needed
Thanks for the showing and teaching.Like the explanation and lots of tips

Hi...I have watched two of your videos and let me tell you that it is amazing what you do. You make it seem so easy but I know if a try to do it, it's not going to be as nice as yours. Congrats!! And thanks for sharing!!!

Dude you are a god with fiberglass working. And metal. Ive seen your armor videos too. 👍👏👏👏
Thank you! But I am very much a beginner with fiberglass. Metal...I know a fair amount
Awesome Video!!!! Made pretty simple for those of us trying to learn this skill. Great Job.
+DDClowers Thanks! This was only my second time building one of these, so if I can do it, anyone can.
Great work, very talented
dude....that came out badass I'm jealous
fantastic job. really nice.
That really is a great tutorial. I have never thought of using filler and resin together. I seen in other post you use Bondo brand filler. I can see you know what you are doing. But 3M makes several great body fillers like all the lite types they have finishes many times easier than Bondo brand. They don't leave air holes nor do they have hard spots. They sand like a dream. Just thought I'd pass it along. The price isn't much different as well. Thanks for such a good detailed video.
Phil Lowman can you tell me the name of the other stuff? I'd like to try it
Great video, really wanna do this with my ‘79 Elky
I LOOOOVE medieval armour it's awsome
