As soon as I heard about this casting, I was honestly unhappy. I say that as a fan of every performance I’ve seen from Pedro Pascal. He’s amazing at what he does, but he doesn’t seem like any possible version of Reed Richards to me no matter how much I try and picture it.
I feel like compared to Superman this movie can honestly still fail and the MCU will still have a guaranteed amount of people going to watch Doomsday regardless. This movie doesn’t really have as much stakes compared to that Superman release to me
Nah because if this movie fails, that’s 3 Fantastic Four universes that have failed. It will tank the Fantastic Four popularity more than it is right now. Also MCU is just a few fails away from nobody watching anymore. And it’s not like Doctor Doom has a popular cast either
Im gone go to the cinema, watch the movie, think its perfect, go home, go on UA-cam, everybody hates the movie. Thia is my story for 90% of marvel movies and shows
It’s how it is for modern marvel movies. The direction of marvel is scattered, everyone wants to make THEIR movie instead of a movie that fits the universe it’s set in.
@@IamPotion Nah honestly it wouldn't be so bad to have the directors injecting their own style. It's just that none of them connect and probably never will beyond cameos.
@ having their own style is a good thing but trying to make the movie theirs is different. The movies should be coherent. And example would be the giant hand that’s in the ocean, we never saw it ever in any movies other than eternals. It would be different if we had seen it before in other movies but now we just have to believe there’s a giant hand? That’s the writer, director, and maybe others making inconsistencies. My main issue is when directors make movies according to how they want, instead they should incorporate what they want in with what would do well. Directors direct the movie, they shouldn’t force a message or try making a movie about what they want. Marvel hired a director to make a Marvel movie, not make a movie the director wants.
Pedro Pascal literally ruined the mysterious stoic Mandalorian early by bitching on set to producers and cast about taking off the helmet he said that people needed to see his face expressions and acting or the character would fail, it didn't until they unmasked him and then show lost a bunch of traction right after. the character soon became boring and unappealing to a lot of people. I honestly find it hard to believe he would uphold the roots of Mr. Fantastic and probably try to put his own spin on it ruining a beloved character in the process.
@@thatsplinter he did do a really good job as Joel and Obren from GoT but Mr. Fantastic is a far more of a drawn out character in more media and a bigger backstory, it would be a huge shame if he were to ruin this character the same way he did with Mando and we end up never getting another F4 movie over it. its a movie about the F4 not him.
@crazyaggro4476 That's why I'm saying he deserves a shot at least. Maybe he's learned his lesson from the whole Mando stuff. Pedro has a lot of range. All we can do now is cross our fingers tho.
Maybe the MCU Fantastic Four become the U-FOES instead. They are like the Fantastic, but completely evil. They get their powers the same way as the Fantastic Four too. They are Vector, Vapor, X-Ray and Ironclad
We will definitely see how it plays out. I feel like Fantastic Four could benefit from the Batman treatment. Having a comic movie outside the main mcu that way they can focus more on story and the characters just for the fact that they’re not traditional heroes. If Marvel can pull that off they’ll break way for a new kind of superhero story telling on the big screen
@ he probably does. Hollywood is just nepotism and people who owe each other favors. He isn’t the best actor, honestly ioan gruffudd would be a better choice. He’s the one who originally played Mr fantastic in the 2005 movie. Amazing actor
i still don't like pascal. Ever since WW85, naw! We need a tall lanky guy. Not sure, cause I like Krasinsky, but after Doctor Strange, I wasn't too impressed. Ugh! Please just don't "F" it up Marvel!
I just don't see why people praise Pedro Pascal. He's a good actor, but he's not THAT good. Definitely not a fit for such a major role like Mr. Fantastic. Now people will fool themselves saying he's the best simply because he's a beloved actor of this generation. It's the same problem with RDJ as Doctor Doom, they ain't casting them in these characters for talent and faithfulness, they're casting purely for attention and greed. Sorry, but this ain't ever gonna be the Fantastic Four fans deserve.
Besides maybe daredevil fantastic 4 is the project marvel has to make at least pretty good. The stakes, expectations and know you know people online will react if it isnt really good will definitely hurt. Plus if this film is as important to the avenger movies as we think yeah it has to be a hit
Legit same.😤 Like this guy said I fear if they aren’t done right this time, we legit might not ever see the Fantastic 4 in movies or anything anymore. I really love them and their pretty much my favorite thing about Marvel, I just hope it’s good. I’m hoping this isn’t THE Fantastic 4 for the rest of the MCU because Pedro is just Not HIM. Imma still watch because I just NEED to, we must have hope brother. MCU has been real good to Marvel, hope it stays that way. Honestly I think the cast is all good EXCEPT Pedro, Like WHYYYY??! Why do they keep doing this shit to characters I love man. It’s like the OG cast was the only good all rounder. Literally all I want is a better Mr.Fantastic. I mean Marvel Rivals is doing it good, is it so hard for them to just do that?
@thefunny8034 You don’t need to watch it Just wait for it to drop and see how fans react If the ratings are low Don’t watch it And if you do watch it Go in with the lowest expectations possible and if it turns out to be mediocre and not the shit show you are expecting then you might at least slightly enjoy yourself
The worst casting choices Pascal with a mustache Reed Richards 🤦🏾♂️ Susan storm looks like an angry girl boss, Johnny Storm looks like a soy boy & Ben Grimm looks like a sleazy car mechanic 👎🏾
First off you dont have much information to talk about the movie. They were here the whole time, they just got transported to another universe. So technically its the same thing. They're introducing characters that have been here, sorry that movie rights are movie rights.
What if Tony Stark was never truly Tony Stark, but rather Victor Von Doom all along? This theory could explain why the Fantastic Four have yet to appear in the MCU. In "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," Reed Richards is mentioned in a list of exceptional individuals monitored by SHIELD. This suggests that he exists in the MCU, but his interactions with Stark may be altered if Stark is actually Doom. The theory posits that Doom’s mother lost custody of him, leading to his adoption by the Starks. This could explain a moment in "Endgame," where Howard Stark seems unaware of how far along his wife was when buying flowers. If young Victor was raised as Tony, he would never meet Reed Richards at Empire State University. Thus, for Reed Richards to develop as he should, Victor Von Doom must also exist in this narrative. What do you think?
No offense, but this is pretty, pretty stupid. You're going to pull a Simpsons card and tell us the character we've cheered and grieved for at the end of Endgame is not real?
Y'all totally hating because you want to keep, “your precious memories intact,” and that is dumb. Its a story, not your wet dream. Remember, they said this is the real Dr Doom, not some variant of Tony Stark. What does that leave? Maybe our Tony was the variant. It says a lot of nature verse nature. Use real communication, not dumb. Adds nothing to the conversation. Also that could lead to why Galactus comes to that earth because the anchor being, Tony Stark, doesn't not exist and maybe now we get a new ‘Superior’ Ironman and not ending the precious Stark.
@ We're not hating, we're giving feedback. It's not about keeping "precious memories" intact, it's about a stupid writing decision. Are you 6 years old or something?
@@EnriqueGarcia-ey9gd i really like the new batman. its campy but doesnt take itself too seriously like the dark knight imo. I'm also a fan of the guardians movies especially the third. iron man 1 was great too. spiderverse movies are probably my favorite of all though.
@arneshsengupta4636 I dont think you know what campy means. The batman is not lighthearted, campy would be closer to the mcu movies, especially the guardians movies. And you said both the darknight and the batman were campy but the latter is bad? I think you just prefer movies that you can relax too without thinking, which isnt bad at all, everyone has movies that they can just put on the tv to relax to like for me its older action movies, but to say the dark knight is a bad movie is just objectively wrong. You could just say you dont like it instead.
@@EnriqueGarcia-ey9gdi see this with a lot of Nolan fans where they really believe Nolan movies are smarter than they are. you don't need a phd to understand the dark knight. heath has an iconic performance and that is it. the rest is campy and takes itself too seriously. campy doesn't mean non serious. it means a movie that is objectively bad but can be enjoyed by a certain group of people (aka a camp) for its goofy nature and cultural relevance.
Sorry but eternals was an awesome experience, so i dont agree. How else would you do it then? It makes sense if you watched the movie as well. God when y'all get something that isn't your taste you just spit it out onto the floor, instead of just politely spitting in a napkin.
If the movie fucks up Galactus the movie will fail. Galactus cannot be a joke and needs to be taken seriously. Marvel wasted their money in Eternals when they should have saved it for Galactus. We don’t need a MCU Gorr situation and MCU MODOK situation with Galactus. It is a dumbass idea doing Galactus in the first movie.
