Where do you get the part and does Kawasaki fix this? Is there a service bulletin for this? You guys do some great fixes. My 160 also takes on water after many times to the dealer it still takes water in the front compartment. Any ideas? Thanks again
Great mod, no one likes to spill fuel all over their Jetski. Sucks when that happens and you don’t have a quick way to clean the mess🥴. Thanks for sharing! Billy D
@@kawiperformanceYeah no doubt, completely understandable. But you have to love that Kawasaki stepped up their game adding the larger tank to the STX 160 lineup. More miles to keep on smiling 😊
@LifeBeginsOnTheWater But if they used the same tank or the same size filler neck as the Ultra it would not be an issue. Tank is NOT the same as the Ultra. Capacity is similar but different tanks and necks.
Hey this is a great fix and good vid. One i will be attempting. I have a question for you though slightly off topic. My jetski seems to bog down at approx 4000rpm and drops to 3000 then returns to normal. It feels like fuel starvation and was wondering if there may be an issue with a valve or breather somewhere. Is this something you may know about? Thank you
Check for excessive debris in the tank. The pump housing can get rusty and deposit the rust in the tank clogging up the screen bag thus reducing fuel flow.
Thanks for another great video for the Kawi family!

You can find it directly on our website. What you can do is shim the hinge to pull the hood closer. Then it will seal better
Great video, very detailed!
Thanks JD!
What is this blowout fix piece called, and where do i purchase? Thanks.

It is frustrating to say the least, especially when you have a 21 gallon tank to fill🤣

Will you show pouring or pumping afterwards?
Why does the jetski do this to begin with and how does the mod fix it?
Filler neck diameter is too small. Air can't escape while pumping gas into the tank. Pressure builds and it eventually burps out.

Most likely fuel pump and bag, we make a high flow pump and bag for that model that will resolve many problems

Does the 310LX need this?
I have a 2023 310x and it doesn’t need it.
No, only the STX 160 has the issue
