  • Idiot works on a Kawasaki SXR 800 JS800 Impeller Pump Repair Rebuild and Retool, after foreign object debris got into the the pump and caused it to disassemble by unscrewing the impeller from the shaft that is housed in the rear vane of the pump housing. After the debri caused the impeller to unscrew the shaft fell back into the pump cap and the 17x25x?? bushing spacing the impeller from housing fell out. I was lucky to run the ski this way for years without damage, since 2014 or so. Using a mini half round bastard file and a mill bastard file and a 10mm socket and rachet I break down the pump assembly as a laymen. Later I sanded the inner ring of the pump housing to get the particles and foreign metals out of scratches and smooth it out, but that was off camera, pt2 may be coming soon. Steering cable video soon, versions with my music soon.

Thanks for the share! Is there anyway to keep the bearings greased on the sxr 800?

basically open it up and shoot more grease into their with a plastic syringe or grease gun and then pack that rear most part. After this even I will be doing this yearly, to be honest it was not much work to get it fully lubed up!!
