Small tip, or warning more accurately. If you sink a player crewed burning blade and the chest of fortune wasn't touched. It can glitch out and desapwn,
It took my crew *six hours* to find an unclaimed BB event, but once we did it is a devastatingly potent vessel. Had an absolute blast, crushed Galleons Brigs and Sloops, did 8 camps and turned it in.
This is the best update. Took 10 scuttles to find an unclaimed BB and immediately was attacked by the server. You feel like the real crew of the ship. Having the extra skellies around really adds to the experience. I'm amazed at the balancing act Rare walked. The ship is slow but so powerful. My galleon crew wont ever let me touch a cannon as helm, but now I have two and a lever to torch-ure my foes. Rare truly have a soft spot for Flameheart and the Reapers.
Your galleon crew needs to learn that the rearmost cannons belong to you, and you alone. You shouldn't linger on them, but the big reward for maneuvering that thing just right is that you get to unleash a full broadside. Even if it's just two extra cannonballs, take it.
Except they allowed the chickens captaining it to sell the ship while battle is commencing. This absolutely needs fixed as Flameheart would not allow a challenge to go unanswered.
Man, this ship is nigh unsinkable once crewed. Me and 1 guy I met today took the Burning Blade, and the entire server was after us for 9 whole skeleton camps. But water never even got to the second deck once. As long as you are doing skeleton camps to replenish your skeletons at a reasonable rate, duoing is easy breezy even when you aren't a PvP god. Edit at end of day: Sailed the burning blade three times: once as a duo and got 9 rituals before my parter got off, second as a trio and did 5 before one person got off, and the third time we got another person for another trio where we got 7 rituals and called it a night. All while being chased by at least a galleon every time the WHOLE time and STILL never got to second layer in water. This ship is so much fun.
The essence of this event is not just to sink a ship, but the interaction of other ships, if the brigantine and the sloop are in an alliance, then they can defeat you quite easily
Another tip: The skeletons will respawn if you finish a ritual. So if you are running low on skelies or have none at all, then go to the nearest skeleton camp and complete the ritual as fast as posible.
I acquired this ship as a solo player last night- managed to repel a couple of sloops and a reaper brig with my skelly crew! The ashen breath ability is absolutely devastating!
My friend and I captured it tonight. I didn’t even know the skeletons were supposed to help with cannons. Ours bugged out and would only repair the ship and attack borders. We still managed to lead every ship on the server on a wild goose chase for 2 hours while we sunk 2 ships and questioned how we were supposed to do the rituals without sinking. We sunk before we could figure it out, but I feel like we did pretty good for just two guys of mid skill level (one on Xbox) going in blind with bugged skeletons lol.
@@ENDER_Music Honestly, the skelly forts are easily done solo. So as long as they don’t someone in after you, you can just send one crew member inside and the other could circle around for a while. I can solo it in about 5-6 minutes, and I’m an average player at best.
I wish world events still cycled when it was in player control so I could fight the burning blade with the burning blade that has the burning blade on board because the burning blade wouold be very useful against the burning blade because the burning blade is so strong but the burning blade still has an ennvoy but at least itt's not the burning blade because unlike the burning blade the burning blade would not be able to damage ships so it would be useless against the burning blade.

Fair, but it's possible. I almost took the pve version down solo but I fumbled and it took down my mast so Yeah. Got it to the last deck too which is sad
@@jedicrafter1767its kinda easy for some reason, I think at least, I had put holes in without getting hit for a good bit, but got hit with the fire thing and went to rep and another sloop fought it for like 3 minutes and it was down.
I played with my friend yesterday, we managed to capture it after it had just been defeated by three other sloops, and my used the ashen roar on one of the sloops, it was so much fun
Can confirm that the supplies of the Burning Blade do not replenish, and I found it out in the most hilarious way possible last night, it's quite a tale. My brother and I were on a Sloop and saw the Blade, he wanted to see it, so we tried to take it but sank and another crew snatched it from us. We charged at them twice, literally, ramming our Sloop into the Blade multiple times. After the second time we sunk, we gave up the ghost since we were going for the Sunken curse, and one of the shrines we hadn't visited yet was right in front of our respawn. While I was down below looking for the books, my brother was sailing back to the shrine after a ghost ship attacked him and saw the Blade battling another Sloop waving the Guild flag directly above the shrine I was looting. I spawned back on the ship, and we charged in for one last assault, me handling our Sloop and my brother shooting off to board them, he found their food and board barrels were all empty and most of their skeletons were missing. He dropped their anchor, and I shot their sails down with chain shots, they were sitting ducks as I pelted them with cannonballs with my brother keeping them away from their cannons, and, would you believe it, our little Sloop sunk the Burning Blade. I can tell you that those two on the Blade were NOT HAPPY, they beelined right to us as we scrambled towards Reaper's Hideout, we managed to sell all the loot and not sink while they were hounding us, their last words before they rage quit was "I'm still a Pirate Legend", to that I say, "Yeah, right".
I got a question about the Ashen roar projectile. Each time we used it, the projectile seems to directly go in the water. Is it some bad timing with the waves and the ship potentially aiming downside or did we miss something? Others boats were just in front of us, only few meters away.
It is, if you imagine a ship from a 2D perspective, when it rides a high wave it'll launch the Ashen Roar into the air, on a low wave into the water. You need to be vertically facing the target you're trying to hit.

Quick question. Does anyone know if the crew of the Burning Blade can see when you complete a ritual and take the orb? Two of the times, the Burning Blade, which was crewed by players, immediately turn toward us (on the map) the second we got the orb on our ship. @scubasteve2189 at the very back of the ship behind the captains quarters.i managed to board at the set of ladders that lead to the captains quarters while leaving my ship to sink.the other ships finished off the ship and I waited at the book until it was ready to claim
the only time i got it was once we actually got to the unclamimed ship, someone was just chilling aboard it waiting for his crew to come vote, so we just stole it right in front of bro's eyes
no theyre like the skeleton ship skeletons, when theres holes they will fix them and when people are on your broadside they will fire cannons somewhat accuratly
Ive captured 6 already simply using a rowboat. Waiting in the middle of a fight, (players are blind) and wait until it ends. Then..Dash on board. First one to vote wins. Wait until Harpoon guns in S14....so much easier.
Me and my crew found a unclaimed BB event and we completed it but some galleon was camping it and waiting for someone else to do it so they could take it 😭
Bruhhhhhhh last night we had to fight a sloop and a galleon and they mainly fought each other so we just took the opportunity to take the burning blade and we sank both, this new ship is like OP as hell lol the only thing is if you have the ship the whole servers just gonna attack you back to back until sweat lords attack you and finish you so doing any rituals are a pain in the butt if you're the burning blade
If theres other player ships attacking it(and if you have nothing aboard) grab whatever you can and aboard the burning blade by ramming into it, and wait till other players sink it
Im terrible at PvP so I thought I could never get this ship, but today I saw a gallon fighting it and they weakened when I arrived for some reason they only sent 1 person to get it so I killed them and managed to this ship while the entire gallon crew was screaming at me
Solo sloops you have an advantage here. An unfair advantage to be honest But you are capable of boarding the burning blade having someone else finish it off and then claiming it before they get on board The entire crew has to vote to claim it so a solo always has an advantage in these fights
Perhaps, but that still requires them to have some knowledge of the ship layout as well as survive long enough for other ships to sink whilstt also staying out of cannon range so they don't get found out by skellies or one-balled. on top of that, it guarantees that they go straight into a fight meaning that they have to try and do their best to keep their skellies alive so they don't run out whilst also applying enough pressure to the ship(s)
my friends and i had a galleon after we kept server hopping and it finally spawned but we were directly against wimd the ENTIRE time and a brig noob crew got there first. we killed them within 5 min of them taking it. such a damn waste.
Had an alliance up, a 3rd sloop joined, we asked them for an alliance and they said no, then insulted us when we started firing at them when we went to sink the BB. super toxic. Hopefully not all encounters are like that. in360 if you’re there I’m sorry your dad never loved you mate
I had a crew of two noobs capture the burning blade and proceeded to run with in for 2 hours. Can the skeletons raise the masts and anchor? Cause it sure seemed that way. So is it impossible for a solo to take down a BB? Sure seems that way so far. But it was really annoying to be continuously outran by that huge ship crewed by incompetents. Great update but people really find ways to suck the joy out of everything
Most unbalanced thing in sot right now, my friends and I were on a brig yesterday and fought a duo controlling the burning blade. Even after demasting them and hitting 10 complete scattershots emidiately after, they still managed to escape, all though beeing really bad at the cannons and close range combat
People are going crazy for it and every time I’ve tried to take it over. Other people cuss me out and are just straight up toxic. Until I can take the ship over. Meh season.
The burning blade is too op, the skeletons almost instantly respawn once killed. Took us 3 gold skellis quite a while to sink a duo of noobs on that ship. Two had to board to constantly kill skellis and our helm had to shoot alone.
yeah, that's cool, but when 4 ships fail and the skeletons are not very willing to shoot, then uhhh + I recently came across a cheter when I was sailing solo with a flaming blade. You can beat a flaming blade, you just need your head and people fight in 4 to 5 guys on one ship wtf + cheter so that's a pity
@@b-l1969 you don't even have yo pvp to benefit frpm this, skeleton camps are a new loot source for everyone and forgive me tor enjoying pvp in a pirate game lol coward
Bro How? I spent like 5 hours today and only found it uncontested once. and even then I fumbled bc I was solo and got demasted, after that I found 1 server with a BB that had been taken already, then it wasn't evenn up for the rest of it
So many children who don't know how to play the game are complaining on how OP its. all I gotta say about this is "SKILL ISSUE" a ship is as good as it's crew and the burning blade is the same. Just because you lack cohesion doesn't mean something is too powerful it means you don't have the skill.
You'd be surprised. while they don't hit too many shots, they still manage to hit a few (namely one balls and mast hits) which can be devastating because you'll just be in their broadside for as long as it takes to fix it and get it back up, plus they still shoot out bonecallers. For any uncoordinated crew or a crew that's not used to the more intense fights that are chaotic (i.e. skelleton galleons, ghost fleets, or this) It'll cause them to panic and they'll be struggling and making poor choices
The issue’s not even defeating the ship. It’s finding a server with it uncaptured, and even with the most incompetent opposing crew, it’s almost useless to stay in that server and try to sink them.

The Burning Blade look like Blackbeard's Queen Anne's Revenge.
I haven’t taken control, but teaming with a galleon, i was able to take down the burning blade on my first encounter
can you control the skeletons in any way, or are they just as deaf as my crew?
no theyre like the skeleton ship skeletons, when theres holes they will fix them and when people are on your broadside they will fire cannons somewhat accuratly
You cannot control the skeletons, no.
Ive captured 6 already simply using a rowboat.
Waiting in the middle of a fight, (players are blind) and wait until it ends. Then..Dash on board. First one to vote wins.
Wait until Harpoon guns in S14....so much easier.
Harpoon guns will just give reaper sweats even more heat to be more sweaty
@@YourAverageKriegsmanwait they can become more sweaty?😂
Harpoon guns need to be canceled. That crap will ruin pvp.
I hid on the ship while a solo sloop was doing the event, second he sunk the sip I claimed it from him. Poor fella.
Tried doing this solo several times..just can't do it and do the stupid camps.
I cbf dealing with open crew so I guess this event is not for me lol
i just got it a hour ago. some crew gave it to me since they didn’t want it and only wanted the treasure. it’s my second day of playing
Me and my crew got the Burning blade and we were sailing around and then got chased by 3 sloops and 1 brig
If theres other player ships attacking it(and if you have nothing aboard) grab whatever you can and aboard the burning blade by ramming into it, and wait till other players sink it
It was our sword, and these are our seas.
Lets take back the Blade and extinguish the Flame!
You shall not get far Athena scum
Let's remind them about lost sands and send them back to the sea floor.
Im terrible at PvP so I thought I could never get this ship, but today I saw a gallon fighting it and they weakened when I arrived for some reason they only sent 1 person to get it so I killed them and managed to this ship while the entire gallon crew was screaming at me
i just got it a hour ago. some crew gave it to me since they didn’t want it and only wanted the treasure. it’s my second day of playing
Solo sloops you have an advantage here. An unfair advantage to be honest
But you are capable of boarding the burning blade having someone else finish it off and then claiming it before they get on board
The entire crew has to vote to claim it so a solo always has an advantage in these fights
If ur a galleon noob jus have 1 of ur people sit in captains quarters
@@DhodhaLucifer thank you for your pointless addition
Perhaps, but that still requires them to have some knowledge of the ship layout as well as survive long enough for other ships to sink whilstt also staying out of cannon range so they don't get found out by skellies or one-balled. on top of that, it guarantees that they go straight into a fight meaning that they have to try and do their best to keep their skellies alive so they don't run out whilst also applying enough pressure to the ship(s)
can you dive with the Burning Blade?
You cannot.
Could multiple crew run the ship?
Can't ally when your the captain of it
No, it can only be crewed by 1.
my friends and i had a galleon after we kept server hopping and it finally spawned but we were directly against wimd the ENTIRE time and a brig noob crew got there first. we killed them within 5 min of them taking it. such a damn waste.
Dangerous part is a two man Anker
I was fighting this on a sloop and my friend went afk at the worst possible time. I held it down for about 5-10 minutes and then i sank :/
Had an alliance up, a 3rd sloop joined, we asked them for an alliance and they said no, then insulted us when we started firing at them when we went to sink the BB. super toxic. Hopefully not all encounters are like that. in360 if you’re there I’m sorry your dad never loved you mate
Burning blade supplies restock every ritual completed
Yellow shock way
Bro I still haven’t gotten grade 1 of fates of fortune and the chest was added 4 seasons ago
And the only reason they were able to capture it in the first place, was because I got occupied taking out a third partying ship.
Skeletons cannot raise the masts and anchor.
Meh season.
It’s Sea of Thieves. 🤷🏻♂️ 70% of players are toxic. 🤷🏻♂️
I took it in a private lobby
@@RobertSchaeffer-o6x What do you mean private lobby? You mean no one else was in the lobby with you?
The burning blade is too op, the skeletons almost instantly respawn once killed. Took us 3 gold skellis quite a while to sink a duo of noobs on that ship. Two had to board to constantly kill skellis and our helm had to shoot alone.
I'v been on dive like 25 times and i ddnt saw it :'(
yeah, that's cool, but when 4 ships fail and the skeletons are not very willing to shoot, then uhhh + I recently came across a cheter when I was sailing solo with a flaming blade. You can beat a flaming blade, you just need your head and people fight in 4 to 5 guys on one ship wtf + cheter so that's a pity
A captain symbol
it’s way too OP
The only time me and my friend had the BB we got attacjes by a galeon with full gold skeleton people inside so lost
i just got it a hour ago. some crew gave it to me since they didn’t want it and only wanted the treasure. it’s my second day of playing

How does a newer ps5 player find like minded pirates to capture such a vessel?
Discord servers, X (formerly Twitter), LFGs, anything!

They need to make the season pass more than 100 levels I’m already max level
is it possible to steal the chest of fortune from the skeleton crew
Yes
Yes
It is!
Bruh I defeated the burning blade but the captains table wouldn’t let me claim it
I have captured it 4 times already and the highest streak I’ve seen is 12
Bro How? I spent like 5 hours today and only found it uncontested once. and even then I fumbled bc I was solo and got demasted, after that I found 1 server with a BB that had been taken already, then it wasn't evenn up for the rest of it
@@jedicrafter1767keep diving gold hoarders treasure maps until you get into server with an uncaptured one

Ahoy. I’m back
Hopped around 6 six servers and never even saw the ship. I’m a bit disappointed tbh
just get better dude

So many children who don't know how to play the game are complaining on how OP its. all I gotta say about this is "SKILL ISSUE" a ship is as good as it's crew and the burning blade is the same. Just because you lack cohesion doesn't mean something is too powerful it means you don't have the skill.
Finding. Funding
I someone snipes it from you just steal the good loot off of it.
You can’t un sail
Its been out less than a day bro, chill
honestsley i just tuck on the ship and wait for it to go down
I'm solo new and suck didn't know u could claim it started fighting it deafeted it then a 4 man pulled up and killed me and took it
i just got it a hour ago. some crew gave it to me since they didn’t want it and only wanted the treasure. it’s my second day of playing
Seems like a ban worthy offense according to rare
Other videos say your barrels automatically transfer over
Those videos are wrong.
I lost so much shit. Thankfully the BB is decently stocked and comes with two storage crates.
the skeletons have worse aim than a full open crew of PS5 players. never capture one if you are a sloop or a two person sloop.
You'd be surprised. while they don't hit too many shots, they still manage to hit a few (namely one balls and mast hits) which can be devastating because you'll just be in their broadside for as long as it takes to fix it and get it back up, plus they still shoot out bonecallers. For any uncoordinated crew or a crew that's not used to the more intense fights that are chaotic (i.e. skelleton galleons, ghost fleets, or this) It'll cause them to panic and they'll be struggling and making poor choices
they are less accurate against sloops and more accurate against galleons
@@jedicrafter1767 if you get oneballed by a skeleton you've gotta be blind
@@knyt0 to be fair, if you’re at close-medium range of the ship you don’t have much chance to get away

The issue’s not even defeating the ship. It’s finding a server with it uncaptured, and even with the most incompetent opposing crew, it’s almost useless to stay in that server and try to sink them.
