I think Matty is a kovaak’s player first and then an overwatch player. I think people are forgetting how accomplished he is in aim trainer’s. Being a Grandmaster Complete in the voltaic benchmarks is a feat very few can and ever will complete. He was able to take that several steps further and become celestial complete, being the only one in the world… also while holding several world records in various scenarios. I would reckon to say that matty has some of the best if not the best mouse control in the world. It makes sense why he values his aim so much ingame while perhaps neglecting game sense
game sense is usually basic stuff like angles and cooldowns.
Thanks for the interview. I'll say even in the Quake/Unreal days game sense was huge. Running the map correctly, timing power ups, knowing where your opponent is likely to appear next is very important.
But OW(2) is definitely an increase in player limitations that bring game sense and strategy more to the forefront. Damage fall-off, opponents being invulnerable or getting massive heals or damage reduction, clip size and reload time, and to a lesser degree in OW2 getting disabled/stunned and light shields- all these are limiters on hard aim.
But there's still a lot of fun to be had for the aim enthusiast in these games and I can see the appeal of focusing on aim exclusively. Like being the guy on the court that can drain 3s from anywhere. Even Steph curry had to go hard on game sense and ball handling because otherwise the league shuts down the specialist.
Amazing video, obviously subscribed!
subscribed, time stamps in future interviews please : )

Good to hear from someone with experience ✅
Personally, I have a different approach to certain things to him but one thing he said that I think could actually be really helpful is him holding himself to a standard with scores. I don't think you need to always do that, but for me doing that makes my scores better definitely
Thanks for this is interview Quolu and mattyow.
really good video :3

@@eggsaladmang Thanks!
My god matty knows who coconutbrah is wtf is going on
He plays siege, he has like 300 hours on it
Hearing his opinion on gamesense is super disappointing. Out thinking your opponent is very impressive depending the situation it can be more impressive than aim. Doesn't change anything he is still impressive ty for doing you.
matty seems so against improving game sense and positioning but what if he plays against players like owen who has better aim and positioning :sob:
he cares about aim more than anything which is fine. he said himself he doesnt really like pro play or gamesense.
was just saying there are lots of players who have way better aim but also good game sense/positioning
What are his credentials? Not saying you are wrong but marry won the Aiming tournament for Red Bull and this Owen individual didn't
subs here are really depressing and trolling
how so?
@@quolu in first 15min there were shitton errors for example risk health (wrist health).
@@GoldenThiefBugMVP I'm confused by what you mean overall. Are you saying the video has issues and are surprised I am gaining subs?
