I remember back in 2014-2015 playing local CSGO tournaments, playing against Cartoon and Franko (I think he was a Mazino at that time, not sure tho). My entire team thought they were cheating and the toxicity was flying (including me haha, quite immature at that time), since they were just entering the CSGO community. And wow, they were a pain in the ass.
I am proud to know that today these guys are representing my country in one of my favorite hobbies. Aguante cartoon viejo

24:00 The idea of being aware of what's going on is really really important. It also applies to mental health/the mind which is important to undertand when improving performance with anything. Once you take the time to understand/learn what is happening, it's like learning the "language of your brain" you've been reading/speaking incorrectly forever and so can diagnose problems and know what's actually going on. Trying to intuitively fix problems you're literally unaware of is impossible so learn some of the underlying code!

You mentioned you're interested in the obsidian/jade dot skates. I picked myself up some and am a skypad main as well. These skates are surprisingly good. I don't know if anyone else shared my experience, but tiger ice skates seemed to not last very long with my skypad. They would feel incredible new but lose that feel quickly. I can report back later and tell you my long term experience with them if you want. So far, they feel incredible on glass. I'm using them on my Viper V2 Pro.

I actually was doing something similar to the "telling yourself a word like 'focus' technique" except when I noticed all the chatter in my head I would take a deep breath in and as I exhale, I would shush my self, basically saying "shhhhhhhhhhhhh" and just believing in my ability to control my own mind

Tension management was what i was looking for. When I do not care anymore my aim is at its best but when i’m locked in I tense too much and end up aiming worse. I was thinking of trying some cbd products to reduce anxiety, or other things for calmness.

I think the questions from beginners issue is interesting; on one hand “the best way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” But there seems to be a lot of warnings about developing bad habits from advanced players and some tasks do require information. For example, I never held down fire for pokeball scenarios. I thought it was basically static or dynamic with a health pool.
There’s so much someone can get wrong or assume. Also asking questions is a way to stay motivated.
I started on MnK at 35. I’m 37 now. I went from Iron to platinum in about 350 hours of practice. I started aim training so I could catch up to average players in fps games. I’ve been rotating the fundamental routines; I’ll switch between plat, Diamond and Jade throughout the week. Anyway all that to say, I totally get why beginners ask so many questions, but I also agree that the best thing any beginner can do is put in the hour or two a day of deliberate practice.
I took on the score breaking advice, but changed it slightly. If I am not pushing my high scores when I practice I don’t move on. I don’t force myself to beat the scores but I don’t move on if I’m not beating my averages.

I dont understand why soft mousepads are so popular. They make it harder to be consistent, especially when it comes to tension. I see a huge change in my performance when i go from a XSOFT artisan pad to a mpc450 or a qck+, the stiffness does so much for me.

@@Divinity_vA yeah man, some weeks ago I tried the otsu xsoft again, i thought I was doing well after some time, but then I switched to the qck and I immediately saw the change, ingame aswell as in aim trainers, no floatiness anymore. My flicks and precision went up 200%. I didn't even realize I was that bad with the soft surface until I switched

Defran is wrong about aim training because he doesn't understand isolation in skill improvement. Try going to a singing teacher and have them teach you to sing through singing and singing only. They don't do that they have you do abstract exercises that make you think "omg this is weird" .

Human brain is pattern seeking and to varying extent everyone understands objective reality, so aimtrainers make us gaslight ourselves.
Deep down we understand there are many different methods, techniques and ways to aim, all of which have their pros and cons, or even different purposes alltogether..
We also understand there must exist the objectively best method for you, for your application.
So to ask someone what tricks and techniques someone succesfull incorporates into his aim is completely justified and beneficial, a shortcut to see what sticks, but only if the audience takes it for what its worth and understands the concept that for most individuals it is absolutely waste of time to try to unlearn the way you aim and learn it again in an objectively better way, while that objectively better way might have much higher potential for you to reach, you likely never have the time and effort to give to it to really cash in that potential, unless you make it your hobby and profession and life, like CartoonFPS. The real bottleneck is not knowledge, but time.
