I have a question, I have an interview in a few days and I know I’m going to be asked “tell me about a time you had to make a decision with pros and cons “ but I don’t have any work experience and I haven’t been able to find any advice on what kind of decision I should talk about.

Heather, another great video. I loved your steps, but I also really appreciated that you shared the other similar questions the candidates get that are virtually the same (unique, strengths, etc.). Employers disguise a handful of the same questions and it's important the job seekers recognize this!

You are so amazing. I love your clarity. I'm listening from the standpoint of ... "why should you take my on-line course?" So this was very cool! And your editing.. HOLY WOW... particularly loved the end! How did you do that!? Great video on why should we hire you? ... just like... Why should you hire me and take my online course?!!!!! I like this way of looking at it. Thanks Heather!

I love the idea of looking at this interview question in terms of growing a business and selling a online course. What is the name of your course? When are you launching your course? We should talk. I would love to know your strategy.

Ok. I'm sick of interviews and those questions. Interview does not say much about applicants skills, knowledge and value. It says more about how good is the applicant to make it through an interview. Someone who is looking for a job every year will probably make an interview better than someone who is looking for a job the second time in last 12 years...

    • @ProfessorHeatherAustin

Hi there Michal, I agree! These interview questions may not be the most effective, but hiring managers still use them. I wish you the very best on your interview. If you have any questions, let me know.

@@ProfessorHeatherAustin Hi,the video is really great, you can follow the structure independent on job you are applying for. The formulation of answers its a bit cultural ting -if we would apply it in several european countries it maybe seen as overconfident.

Understand when interviewing every candidate comes to the interview with the same skills. If I interview 10 people with the exact same skill set the only thing I have to set them apart is 1. How well they dress and 2. How they control the interview by answering the questions
      3. Follow up email

My question is always "Why Should We Hire You?" actually why should I hire you. I think people forget they are just selling themselves. Confidence is key! The more interviews you go on the more you will feel comfortable. Research!!! Yes, I agree learn about the company and come in strong. It's easy to sell when you know what you are selling. (especially when it's yourself)

that's the question asked to me recently and i answered but can't make to pass because of my poor grammar and also the interviewer notice my face shaky.. he notice i felt a bit of nervous. actually i can express myself mostly via written and not on verbal. However, i knew that most often the interview is usually done via vocal/verbal. Aside from I am not fluent also in english language speaking.
