- Опубліковано 27 вер 2024
- The 2022 season put dirt track racer Jonathan Davenport in a league of his own. Yet, many don’t know the man behind the “Superman” moniker he’s known for at raceways across America.
When the lights of the Speedway shut off, who is the large-than-life character?
FloSports Films goes inside the fences of The Dirty Dollar Ranch to learn about Davenport’s journey from North Georgia’s red clay short tracks to becoming Dirt Late Model’s first two-million-dollar man.
Jonathan, and wife Rachel, reveal the real-life struggles that have shaped their unique journey. It’s a rare peek into the life of one of America’s most successful racers.
Eldora Million results, Eldora Million entry list and Eldora Speedway schedule are all available on FloRacing.

The people who yell from the stands "I hate JD" (or whatever driver) ,should watch videos like this. It gives you good look at a good guy. Well done FloRacing!!!
Please make more videos like this i feel more connected to the drivers i love watching.
Remember this guy back in the 2000's racing at Friendship Speedway and 311 Speedway in NC. We all knew then this guy was something special. By far he is my favorite driver of any class. Very humble guy for what accomplishments he has had. Just never got to meet him personally...fingers crossed one day!
My first memory of him is at 311 Speedway is when I seen his wife running up to the front stretch with a huge dog and grease rags around her knees to protect her jeans....being an active racers wife, I remember thinking that was genius. lol
JD is a very genuine honest good hearted guy.
Grew up watch dirt racing after lose my dad early 2000’s I stopped going. Always caught news on few big races never seen you race til about 5-6 years ago. Heck of a story enjoyed the video. Tell your wife one day you’ll all get sit back celebrate on Dirty Dollar watching that boy take the wheel. Awesome Career hard not to be fan now!!
Crazy how different we all are. I love racing and can’t imagine how good it feels to make a good living doing it. I enjoyed my military career but this man made more in a year than I did 20. Sometimes I wish I could do it all over again but then again you can’t predict how your 2nd chance would go either. I’m an asphalt guy but enjoyed this a lot.
Wow, awesome from the roots up, JD this condensed dry slick car control reminds me of
Anderson Speedway before it was paved... ,,, 🏁💯#49💯🏁
I love this new content structure for Flo
The first time I remember seeing him was sometime between 06-09 at Cherokee speedway and he wrecked, but I’ll never forget the way he never cracked the damn throttle 😂
What a great great guy for our sport! I feel very honored to be a short track dirt racer and be surrounded by the best people on this planet.
You guys really need to do more and more of these you guys kill it everytime!
I've always told my kids " Work for it!" and your dreams can come true! Very inspirational video and I'm more of a J.D fan now!
Thank you flo Racing you do a great job on your filming and work. To make this possible!
He quickly became one of my favorites after watching the integrity of his driving style... Solid
Amazing stuff from flo lately!!!!!
People ask why it's so popular now.....been watching all my life and it comes and goes but right now they have alot of personality in the sport and they don't police these boys they do that them selfs....take notes nascar
And they dont follow each other around for 50 laps like a wing SC
I'm a follower of the Northeast DIRT Modified Series so I'm not real familiar with the Late Models ,but J.D. and his family were excellent subjects for such a well made documentary.
The quality of this film is can only help to shine a light on all levels of racing.
Thanks Flo Racing 👍
I definitely enjoyed this 100%!! Johnathan is definitely one of the greats!! #49 SOOOO-PER-MAN Johnathan Davenport
Awesome video, Awesome Superman!!!
underrated
Davenport is a class act, great job job flo good content
No!
@ToddRobinson13 I retract that.
Davenport is alright. Taking calf to ball game. Wife cries a lot. In a 45 min documentary, she had black hair, blond hair, pink hair, and brown hair. Got some issues there. She looks beat-up.
It’s a man’s job to support his family honey!! No matter what he’s doing or where he’s at his hearts with you all, trust me he’s not doing it all for him!
This is great content done extremely well......Thank you Flo & JD
Awesome video! Keep ‘em comin!
Truly amazing video Flo racing, thanks for sharing your story Superman!
What a great interview one of the best I've ever seen!, What a great guy and great race car driver!, and a great family!. You gotta love Superman!.
Couldn't agree more plus the go and go Homer battles were the most entertaining rooting for small guys to make the races back then was the best
Amazing Man and a Truly special Lady.
I miss the nights at 311 Speedway when Jonathan was a regular. Crates or Superlates, he was always fast! Great video!
Awesome video!! Great video production sound etc. But even better is the amazing story told about one of the best Dirt Late Model Drivers Ever!! And to show his personal side with his wife and son...wow great story!!
We need more of these on other drivers! Awesome!!
I remember you from Lanier, I went with 51 super late model with Brian Smith it's great to see you doing well
Awsome show. I seen JD win his 1st & 2nd Lucas oil races few years back and knew he was going to be something in the dirt racing world. JD and his wife may not know where their road is going, but for sure they are paving it together and it's going to be great. Congratulations, JD, on your success and for much more success in the future !! Good job FLO..

FLORACING y'all have ALWAYS HAD GREAT RACING BUT THIS WAS MAGICAL AND EPIC 🏁🏆🏁 I've never had the pleasure to meet JD yet but I was a fan before he got to megastar status because I have been around dirt track racing my whole life and got to see the greats of Nascar literally in it's earlier years seeing the who's who of Nascar and Dirt Track Racing every Thursday night at our local Track, The Old Columbia Speedway in Cayce South Carolina. Junior Johnson, Ralph Earnhardt, Lee Petty, Buck Baker, Tiny Lund, Cale Yarbrough and so many others. Plus my parents and I were at Darlington twice every year. We always parked in the pits where you could mix and mingle with the driver's and their crew members. I don't follow Nascar much anymore but I am a DIE HARD DIRT TRACK RACING LOVING FAN ESPECIALLY SUPER LATE MODELS!! Hearing those powerful engines roaring to life and feeling the ground rumbling under my feet and seeing the 4 wide salute and then thundering down the front stretch when the green flag drops!! BEST SPORT ON THE PLANET AND I LOVE JONATHAN DAVENPORT 🏁🏆🏁 AND HAVE BEEN WATCHING HIM FOR YEARS NOW!! HE'S STILL THE SAME GUY THAT HE WAS WHEN HE STARTED!! THIS IS A PRICELESS PRECIOUS TREASURED BLESSING AND MEMORIES FOR A LIFETIME AND PURE GOLD!!! KEEP THIS AWESOME RACING COMING FLORACING 🏁🏆🏁🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✝️✝️✝️💞🤗💞 MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR PRECIOUS RESPECTIVE FAMILIES AND ALL THE TRACKS AND PROMOTERS AND ALL THE PEOPLE IT TAKES TO GET A TRACK TO RUN PLUS ALL THE DRIVER'S WHO PUT ON PURE EXCITEMENT EVERY TIME THEY ROLL ONTO THE TRACK!!! THANKS AGAIN FLORACING 🏁🏆🏁💞🤗💞🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✝️✝️✝️
This is awesome. Now we know all about Superman !
Well JD is my new favorite
Nice to learn a little bit more about the Superman, good job JD. 🏁
i dont even like late modles , im more of a 410 guy , but this was a good documentary
I remember being a Madden fan, then being a Davenport fan when he raced for Landers. I was so proud at both of them racing each other clean, thats tuff to do for a million dollars. I wish both of them good luck. And for Rachel Davenport, I hope last years $$$ helps get an employee so you can enjoy more.
39:58 man great story keep making your dreams come true
Success know the success feeling. I never give up racing. Like Dale Jr what type of Sunday driving is that. That's OK just love racing.
