I think the red tip on the toggle switch on the green V is suppose to represent a red Snooker ball.

Pool table Flying V was my favorite and the gunmetal SG albeit with like maybe a regular pickguard and not a clear one
The Bon Fire Flys guitar reminds me of a view of a galaxy that was on Neille DeGrasses site. It had lots of costly placed light all over just like thst guitar does from light reflecting off it. The guitar you said looks like an Italian chef looks more like cousin It if we could actually see Amy of his face. Was just chatting with a guy who bought a J200 Supreme I think he said. It had all kinds of mother of pearl inlays on the fret board and elsewhere. But it was a similar color to the standard shown here.😊

I was about to order a esp e-ii eclipse from reverb but after the bad luck you just had im kinda scared. But this guy at gear orphanage in Nashville uses FedEx i think and im also in Tennessee a couple hours away from Nashville so maybe it will be ok. I ordered a ltd ec1000 deluxe from the same place before and didn't have any problems.

I like the Hummingbird without the pick-guard, but you’re right on it looking too bland, I think they should’ve at least put a teardrop pick-guard on it.

What’s the difference between mod and demo shop ?
MOD collection is where the highly modified/refinished guitars go. Demo shop is basically just factory seconds that needed a bit of reworking. You'll see more common models there. Occasionally the demo shop will get a refinish or changed parts guitar though
So the mod shop is where I take a guitar and modify it and make it one of a kind, what’s the demo shop?
Where they take demo'ed guitars from stores and give it a facelift.

In some ways I feel bad for Gibson, but the fact is they made the noose and got on the stool on their own. They are the “Oldsmobile” of the guitar industry.
They can’t overcome the hoards of people calling Gibsons (which start at $899) “overpriced” but paying $1400 for plywood Epiphones.

@@adamstrachn New? The LP Special satin/faded finish models. Used? You have a lot of options at that price point. I picked up a used 2019 LP Junior last year from GC for $849.

@@brunswicksquaremusic5905 OK, Those models make sense at that price point. There's also nothing the matter with Epiphone brother... Prices are what they are and will only go up from here. Nothing we can do. I prefer Gibson Les Paul guitars because they feel a bit better, but it's also $6k for a Custom these days. (Even basic used LPs are around $2k) It makes sense they offer something for people who can't afford the USA models.

I've never understood why anyone would put a pick guard on an acoustic guitar. The top is where all of the sound and volume and tone comes from. The top needs to vibrate as much as possible. It is already braced, has a bridge attached. Now you're covering up a good 25% of the top with a piece of glued on hard plastic that is not going to move that is not going to stretch and it's going to deaden that section of the top of the guitar. Tell me I'm wrong.
Ever seen Willie Nelson's guitar, Trigger? That. That's why people put pickguards on acoustics. It doesn't need to cover a huge area or be thick, but it does serve a protecting purpose for people who play with a pick.
In the long centuries before amplification guitars were played much harder, with much thicker strings, like .015's even. Sitting between the drums and bass it was a 'rhythm' instrument, and also flamenco players hit the top percussively with their nails - sometimes wearing thru to the inside.
Vibrating wood is not a good sound or desirable in any guitar.
Why use picks? That is the question.
I like the way it looks and my acoustic still sounds good so who cares?

Disappointing. The Mod Collection and Demo Shop is just another way of Gibson taking their Quality Control issues, covering them up, and then selling them for even higher absurd prices than they were originally!
Maybe it's finally a sign that Gibson's greed is starting to catch up with them. I despise them (and Fender). They will really suffer when the global recession begins. Good, frankly.

If they seem expensive to you you should get a better paying job or invest your extra money and save like I did. Should Mercedes and BMW feel like shit too because they don't make cheap budget models? Why cry about it? We all know there are many very good cheaper guitars. I have some of these too. Be happy with one of these or work harder and smarter and save for what you think you can't have like many thousands of other people have done. I still don't see why you want to see people lose their jobs.
