    Players like Jordan, Kobe and T-Mac don't exist anymore - you know the type that REALLY want to win - doesn't matter if it's preseason again Guangzhou Flying Chopsticks or Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
    Sad to say Kobe is the last of a dying breed.. even LBJ and Durant don't have the same competitive fire as those three have/had.

      Yea T-Mac really wanted to win yet didn't have have what it took to win a single playoff series. You're forgetting about the Spurs, Steph Curry, the Bulls, Harden, and KD has shown a hell of a lot more fire than at-Mac ever has. You can't bring up T-Mac in discussion of the greats when he's never even won a playoff series.

    As a Fan of T-Mac, for me his history will never be forgotten and it will be a memorable game for all of nba fans, especially when he does the self-alley-oop dunks and the best thing he had done was in the hopeless situation and he scored 13 points in 35 seconds. And today I'm still hoping that he will return and make an unstoppable game.

    For people saying prime T-Mac was overrated. Search any player other than T-Mac to have this type of stats in the same season:
    scoring at least 32ppg, averaging at least 6.5rpg 5.5apg 1.7spg 0.8bpg and shooting over 38% from three point range, while having less than 3 turnovers per game.
    Tracy McGrady 2002-2003 regular season (All-Star and All-Nba 1st team):
    32.1ppg 6.5rpg 5.5apg 1.7spg 0.8bpg 2.6tov 46 fg% 39 3p% 79 ft% 30.3 PER
    NO OTHER PLAYER IN NBA HISTORY CAN MATCH ALL THESE STATS IN A SINGLE SEASON.
    He played like a beast that season! While having terrible teammates. Orlando Magic roster was so bad, the only other good player outside of T-Mac was Mike Miller, and maybe Drew Gooden?! LOL (Grant Hill was injured almost all the season)

    • @m74d3
      @m74d3 7 років тому

      A.R. You do realize that Michael Jordan had better statistical seasons than that, right? Like 1988-89: 32.5ppg, 8r, 8a, 3s, 0.8 b, 53.8 fg%, 31.1 PER
      That wasn't even his best season - it was his 4th highest PER for a season. The year before his PER was 31.7 and the year after it was 31.2 and the year after that was 31.6.
      So just had to correct you there on the statistical claim.

    • @Jsalcedo23
      @Jsalcedo23 10 років тому +10

      Perry Rodriguez
      numbers can tell you that, but that's cuz kobe didn't have to put up 35 ppg yet cuz he still had shaq to even the load.
      allen iverson was pretty much forced to carry the sixers and do everything.

    • @perryrodriguez6004
      @perryrodriguez6004 10 років тому +18

      Jsalcedo23
      Not only numbers, do you remember the 2001 Finals? They were going at each other and Iverson schooled Kobe so bad that Phil Jackson had to bring Lue off the bench at the end of some games. Kobe could never handle AI. If Iverson was lucky enough to play with Shaq and Phil he would have had a much better career than Kobe.

    t-mac was great and could have been an all time great but all these people saying he'd have been better than jordan and lebron are wrong. yes t-mac was an amazing scorer, but he didn't have half the court vision that lebron has, and both jordan and lebron were/are better defenders than t-mac ever was.

      @Nokturnalx1 10 років тому +2

    • @toppa4504
      @toppa4504 7 років тому

      Bill Lammers I know this is old but Tmac had really good court vision actually and his defense was lazy but if you put stats aside and actually watch his games, when he is actually trying on defense he is a great defender especially 1 0n 1. I heard commentators back then say that in time he could be one of the league premier defenders.

      Jordan was a lock-down defender, that's what separates Jordan from a lot of these players like Kobe, LeBron,etc, MJ won a defensive player of the year for crying out loud, sorry that's something T-Mac would have never done. Besides we can't do "ifs" or "but" because thats not what happened.

    • @FanboyAssassin
      @FanboyAssassin 10 років тому +5

      kingdrosilva94
      Jordan got defensive player of the year when Pippen started playing serious D and he got a ton of transition steals as the ball was passed from the player whom Pippen was guarding to the player whom Jordan was on. Jordan's defense consisted of pulling on opponents clothing and holding... In today's league he would foul out before the end of the first half. Jordan was great, but he wouldn't be able to be Great in today's league because the rules diminish EVERYTHING which he took advantage of to become great. He couldn't lay hands on opponents on offense or defense, he couldn't intimidate officials, he couldn't instigate shit with opponents, contact which he caused as he drove to the hole would result in a charge. If Jordan was so great, he would've done a better job than Lebron did before he received help (never made the finals w/o Pippen)

    • @eastjoker94
      @eastjoker94 10 років тому +2

      It's not like they could not do the same thing to Jordan when he was playing, MJ played in a tougher era a lot of today's top players complain about every little thing the can, and LeBron is one of the worst ones. As to what you said about LeBron reaching the finals, guess what, he got swept when he wasn't able to use his size to his advantage, Jordan isn't 6'8 and 250 lbs. Allen Iverson took the 76ers to the finals and at least won a game against the Lakers, does that make him better than Jordan?No it doesn't so that point is irrelevant. As far as who LeBron played,it's laughable haha, the Wizards and the Nets, only the Pistons were a real threat to them and at that time they were starting to decline so please don't try and make it seem like MJ is not the best.

This year they are going to get even farther into the playoffs. This year they received Howard, one of the best centers. Who knows what else?

Tmac left the Raptors after his third year as a free agent because there was no restricted free agency back then, essentially the rule came to affect afterwards as a result of this.

    • @bruvachris3040
      @bruvachris3040 9 років тому

      I know my history and I know that's when tmac left. The point was that Toronto should've did everything in their power the keep him and Vince together and build around them. Tmac wanted to stay and play with his cousin but they were not willing to pay him what he wanted so of course he left. A year or two after, they almost lost Vince the exact same way but didn't want to make the same mistake twice & paid him. If they kept them together they could've maybe formed the best duo in the league. Don't come at me about history you don't know me
