Man, the fact that you can get rewards just by completing normal stages is nice. Now I dont have to try to rush to get it done and can focus on grunding mirror dugeons to get the pass filled out
I think it’s better to see what the event IDs are like before saying they should be a skip. The Hong IDs banner consists of seasonal and non-seasonal stuff that will always be present in the general pool of the gacha, but event stuff will be permanently removed from the general gacha pool after their season is over. Tingtang and Dieci Hong are both already permanently in the dispenser, while K Hong will return to the dispenser about 5 weeks from now (assuming we don’t get another delay), and while they’re all good, it’s not like there aren’t other IDs that can substitute for them. At the very least, I think it’s better to wait and see first how good of a stand-alone ID Meursault is (as for Faust, her kit is pretty much dedicated poise-support, so she really does need a team). At worst, one can always borrow one other BL ID from a friend on their support list.
The statement wasn't about FOMO but more about getting good clashing ID from the Hong Banner, I don't want to encourage them to build an archetype character that only functions in that archetype but get a unit that can be used broadly. (Ting Tang and KK hong are functional at UT3 so it's good for newbies too).
That’s what I mean when I think one should see first how functional Meursault’s ID is on his own, since while he does support other BL IDs, that doesn’t necessarily mean he can’t work by himself. Both his S2 and his S3 (and its variant) do have a crit damage bonus to them, so they might actually hit rather hard, at least going by my own experience with using Twinhook Gregor (though your experience may vary depending on how easy you find it to manage the probability of his crits before building the stack up high enough).
@@Camazotzer I was speaking more with regard to how season IDs can always spook you when you’re pulling in the gacha, but event IDs are permanently removed from the general pool entirely after their season is over. So even if Dieci and TT Hong are good damage dealer IDs, they’re not irreplaceable in their role. Like adding flowers to brocade, they can make a good team even better, but it’s not that heavy in value.
can't you buy event stuff in the event tab along with other seasonal IDs/EGOs? It's only walpurgisnacht that gets locket away for its own special time, and even then you can access the older things
funnily enough, i have almost all blade lineage identities except wakashu ryoshu, and i have almost 400 ryoshu shards. i wonder if anything interesting will come out for her before new season releases
You might want to get Ryoshu if you want to use an Event themed team. 3-4 BL IDs (Yi Sang, Don, Faust, and Meursault) and then 2-3 KK IDs (Gregor and Ryoshu is a must while Hong Lu is not). KK Rodion is not that good, BL Outis and Sinclair are both known for being among the worst IDs, and Hong Lu needs you to sabotage your bleed count, making Faust and the rest of the KK IDs unusable, otherwise he is a good choice. If Kim is going to be the main boss of the themed-dungeon, I suggest getting Ryoshu and Gregor because they have great debuffs. The four aforementioned BL IDs are also a must. Yi Sang, the head of the offensive and clashing end, Don as poise support, Meursault because he is the core of the BL team, and Faust to support the two KK IDs and to apply extra critical damage benefits to the BL team.
120% bonus cap is same as old events, the only diff is you can get full bonus without the new ids. if they remove the cap we would be able to get 240% bonus
I feel like my account is in an awkward state, cause I only stared playing for 2 weeks, managed to near the end of Canto 4, stuck at the Spicebush fight (I think my main problem is the my ID's levels are lacking, leading to bad clashes) But that means I can't do first clears for the event currency, and I don't have access to MD3H, not entirely sure what to do. I know I would like to get BL Muersault (cause he, Sinclair, and Hong Lu are my biases). I have like 230-ish ego shards for Muer, so I can either spark that or get Pursuance for him (more info, my main IDs are NClair, RMuer, and Dieci Hong Lu)
Level 35 is what you want your IDs to be at for clashing. R meur is not a great clasher, Dieci and Nclair are great options. For spicebush fight it's not too bad generally just make your best clasher be the one that duels dong baek near the final phases and then winrate the rest through egos or through good clashers. You can try using LCB Faust and base outis if you don't have any other good options.
@@MooMooCows What Im currently attempting with is a support NFaust with Fluid Sac to maintain my sanity, I got pretty far in, but one bad turn had everyone get trapped in bushes and then the massive nuke killed everyone
Dang, I was there too once. (moreso the account part. I did struggle with Spicebush) The only advice I can give is consistent play, grinding the events, and really, especially, more than anything, making sure you're using every tool in your arsenal, even if you'd never normally consider certain options. I'm sure if you spend enough time on it, you can make it through eventually.
You can alternate between two teams. The 4 IDs from this event give 30% drop bonus each, and the 6 other IDs give 20% each, and the max bonus you can get for a run is 120%. You could split the IDs between different teams without needing to use them. I’ve already made up two teams that each have two 30% bonus IDs and 3 of the 20% bonus IDs, one for poise and the other for bleed.
Kinda L advice for Hong Lu banner in my opinion, simply because all of his identities are gonna be farmable (kurokumo and blade lineage ones for others are already farmable btw), while mersault and faust are not gonna be available until the end of season 4.
They are new players, they want good IDs at UT3 they'll have to live with some FOMO unless they cash. Tingtang and KK Hong are good at UT3 for clashing/damage purposes already.
