The reason why BL Mersault is so strong is because the following happened: Dante: "Mersault, I appreciate how you actually listen to what I have to say, but it's really a shame that none of your identities are meta." Mersault: "Do you want me to have a meta identity, manager?" Dante: "Well, I mean, yeah... but it's not like there's anything you can really do to-" Mersault: "Very well, I shall get a meta identity for myself." Dante: "Mersault... this is all entirely determined by Mephistopheles' engine, it's not like you can just-" Dante is interrupted by Mersault punching the engine and BL Mersault popping out of it. Dante: "..." Mersault: "Is this identity satisfactory for you, manager?" Dante: "...yes." Mersault: "je suis ravi que ça vous ait plu."
Gotta love how Meursault can now simply do things because we ordered him to: stop a distortion? He'll do it. Survive an attack that would instantly kill him? he'll do it. Clap back with a counter that deals upwards 3k damage? You bet your ass he will do it because the manager said so.
If we could distill Outis' desperate eagerness to impress, and Meursault's superhuman ability to get anything done and put them both in the same sinner, not even the Head would be safe.
kurokumo gregor in lore: the leader of a big kurokumo squad with great swordsmanship and leadership skills, who is ready to fight the mentor of the blade lineage in one on one combat kurokumo gregor in game: mid 00 bleed id
I think he is suposed to be a Jun counterparts? But because gregor he kinda flop it. His clash is pretty bad and main gimmick is lower power. But with such bad clashes he cant apply it! So he MAINLY works in Abno fights Make him one side before an Ego clash and make it easier. Thats it. His skill 1 is literally useless. At least should lower his treshhold, that way it has SOME use

Would love for her team leader skill to be that her skill 3(Probably BoD) would increase in chance to instantly kill a target, for bosses and mini bosses it would just stagger them.
I don't think Shi Ryoshu will be a 000, since none of the sinners so far get 000s for the associations that correspond to the cultures of their source novels. For instance, Liu Hong Lu is a 00, 7cliff is a 00, and Zwei Faust is a 00.
@@yehuda8589 Given the explanation for the rarity system, does make some sense. 000 are rare possibilities for them as a person, so the more they fit the less likely buffs would be. My bet is/has always been that that the day they level up story content to begin requiring something base sinners can't handle we'll get 00 and 000 versions of their IDs. Possibly something involving them manifesting parts of their base egos more permanently with dante's help at 00 and fully transforming them into something new at 000.
I really like that they were able to make Blade Lineage Yi Sang a powerhouse. He has consistently been one of my top three damage dealers in the mirror dungeons.
@@thegoldenraysoftheglorious1180 If he was low tier before, he moved way up now. Flank Thrust is doing numbers and he pulled his weight on my RR3 with the poise + captain ish/harpooner team.
With max passive and Swordplay buff, yi sang will literally roll 21 with s1, that's a s3 level of roll, and he will also do more damage because of the crit damage boost
@diavolojaegar4363 Now I miss the bugs before the patch. I could never get him to use Flank Thrust’s 3rd coin because he kept killing enemies on the 2nd coin.
He didn't say it was bad, he just said it was "somehow" the worst of the skill 1 options on the team. Which is to say that selection of s1s is amazing.
Blade Lineage unfortunately happens to share an abbreviation with Boy love, hence BL Yi Sang being jokingly referred to as "Boy Love" Yi Sang.@@Ramsey276one
Kimsault is one of the strongest IDs, but also the character it is based on is one of the strongest we have gotten an ID of. Before most of our IDs have just been normal soldiers of these factions, now we're moving up the ladder.
@@shizik3909Both of those aren't Urban Nightmare tier opponents. Lorewise Bamboo Hatted Kim is the highest-ranked opponent we have so far. What you should've said is, "Rabbit Heathcliff, Reindeer Ishmael, and Rhino Meursault???" since all 3 of those are Stars of the City IDs.
@@alonelyperson6031 These are soldiers, while Kromer is the leader of the faction as you stated that did not happen before, and Dongbaek that even did the Xiao thing of EGOing instead of corroding what actually shows that she ain't weak even with sunshower ego that was depressing her in the mean time while being roasted by Dongrang. EGO's are no joke and are easily the second powerful thing in PMverse just in 2nd place before the Arbiters. And what about Big Brother?
@@shizik3909 Xiao is a GRADE 1 Fixer, who would probably qualify for a Color. Dongbaek is just a scientist who got her hands on some E.G.O because her will was strong or something. Big Brother doesn't count since we didn't got his ID. Kromer's position is...questionable. We don't know how the Inquisitors exist as an organisation in N-Corp, and while Kromer is called The One Who Grips, we can't be sure she's the only One, or that there aren't someone on the ladder higher than her. She's also...you know. Not Urban Nightmare tier.
@@alonelyperson6031 Nuh uh. Dongbaek actually got her OWN EGO while being roasted and being depressed down by low-quality sunshower EGO equipment she worn, while even Xiao needed emotional support from Miris to not distort.
25:37 I'd say Yi Sang's pride skill 1 is the worst when it comes to utility but by god I've seen that skill roll 20+ thanks to his passive, pride power up, slash power up, sword of the homeland and sword of the homeland - rending. That skill 1 packs a punch.
I'd say BL Yi Sang has one of the best skill 1's in the game, since a 13 rolling skill 1 with a floor of 6 and 5 offense level is really good (not even counting his coin power shenanigans)
@@yehuda8589Yeah, while it doesnt do the most damage of the Skill 1 like Faust who WILL go crazy if you let Ahabmael give her Assist Attack or Utility like Don and Meur The thing Clash STUPIDLY high High base, high offense level(Which makes it absolutely abuseable in Pride Absolute Resonance Team), High Clashing And if Ahabmael is involved, he will not only fuel his own Poise really well, he ALSO will do way too good of Clashing
I have so much weird feelings about this ID - mechanically, I prefer what Captain Ish does with her team building, as hers is so much less limiting. Yes, the Pequods themselves gain some additional SP healing, and they work well with her, but any poise ID works well with her - hell, units like Wyoshu work wonderfully with her, assist attack procing that high damage skill 1 that boosts her charge gain. It's not just poise units, charge and self-tremor units can all work with her, she has so much potential to be built around, while also not feeling like you're truly just BUILDING AROUND HER - since she is still a support unit . On the other hand, Meursault is truly 1000% keyed into the Blade Lineage. That's it, these are the IDs he works with, and we're 99.999% not getting any new ones ever again. But god damn it, he's so fun to use. TCTB is pure dopamine. The whole team is so fun to use, Faust and Don both feel great in this team, and the fact BL Yi Sang pops off so fucking hard - the free unit we all got on release, the boy that's been warming my bench for so long, now rolling a 20 with his skill 1 and doing giga damage with his skill 3 - it's cathartic, it feels like justice. On one hand, I'm desperate to see more of these forgotten on release units get bumped up (SHI ASSOCIATION PLEASE), on the other hand, this kind of strict faction-based teambuilding feels less interesting than the variety of teams Captain Ish can be useful with. Then there's also the fact that we've been getting so much fucking pride this season, a common affinity that we already didn't have enough EGOs to spend on even prior to season 3, so much poise too, yet I'm remembering how underwhelming Poise has been for so long, and I can't make myself be that mad at it.
I think its fine because (almost) all of the old BL IDs were complete dookie anyways. He's very much just a buff to the previously worst association in the game.
UT4 Yi Sang was the only thing that carried Blade Lineage. The top 4 IDs you need in a poise team are all Blade Lineage right now. Meursault, because 4 are BL IDs, Don, since she gives poise to everyone, Faust, because Red Plum Blossom is fragility for poise, and Yi Sang, because you want someone who can clash without EGO and deal consistent high damage.
Have you tried pairing both him and fishmael up yet? Bring in don too. What he mentioned in this regarding Ishmaels pride resonance and heath profiting of dons passive is real. It's pretty damn fun to use as they all work well
Poise has gone from something you can hardly get to work outside of Mirror Dungeons (similar to bleed and to a lesser extent burn) to something you can just stack to hell and back on even singular IDs. Like, when messing around in EXP Luxcavations, I was getting poise numbers similar to that which I'd previously only see with Nebulizer, Four-Leaf Clover or other poise gifts with a 4 BL team (Sault, Faust, Don and Outis), and even outside BL IDs like Pirate Gregor or Cinqclair I found could still generate enough poise to function most of the time (unlike other solo poise IDs, cough cough LCB Ryoshu).
Its difficult to get exactly 50% hp and maintain it, if anything, its very possible to go from 100% to 0% after a single lost clash, depending on what attacks you
@@nershacreave6044 Then get 3 pride reson, he cant dies for 1 turn with his passive activated. Im playing with Harpooner Heathcliff at 20 to 40 hp all the time.
It’s genuinely so nice to see such well-made quality content in the limbus community. You do like to flash your white text a little too quickly, but compared to how good your videos are, that’s a small price to pay.
BL Yi Sang is now probably one of my favorite IDs to use due to Kimsault. Yi Sang clashes with super funny numbers now that he can ramp up and maintain his count so easily, so far it has made every skill of his able to clash with almost anything, and its super funny.
with all the buffs from both his own passive and the effects kimsault brings it's become pretty common to see him rolling low 20s... on a skill 1. literally went from bottom tier id to being probably the most consistently powerful clasher in the game in the right team it's such an insane glowup
@@VivRibbon Yeah its insane. BL Yi Sang effectively has a +4 coin power permanently on everything, BARE MINIMUM. (+6 if its his skill 1 and a +4/5 if its his skill 2, idk if the 1.5 from swordplay rounds up or down), and he can achieve even funnier numbers with Rending or Penetrating Hes been super fun using in MD, since even in the latter floors he can still outclash pretty much anything outside of elite nodes and bosses, but hes still super competent at it
BL Yi Sang is an interesting case of how to handle buffing a previously undertuned character . . . largely because instead of adjusting his numbers and calling it a day PM decided to slap on strong ascension bonuses and team synergies which send his numbers to the goddamn moon if you know what you're doing.
If I was in love with Captian Ishmael... Mearsault is my cocaine addiction. I just cannot stop using him. The goddamn counter move is so good. Like I love how Captain has her s3 be sort of a counter in animation but Mearsault takes it to another level. It's like " HIT ME, I DARE YOU." And if you do you will regret it. Your team will too. Now PM.... I know you cooked well for us BUT.... can we ... please.... get a new Ryoshu ID? Maybe a Liu? To help Outis and Ishamel? Or maybe even Shi? Anything.... please.... I need her to get a new 3 star.
I imagine a Zwei commander would convert defences into offence effects. Allies with Defence Power Up convert it into Offence Power Up, allies with Defence Level Up change it to Offence Level Up... not exactly thrilling changes. What would be fun is if they made their defensive skills extremely viable. Like blocking an attack will raise the stagger threshold of the attacker, or negate all on-hit effects. Or maybe mixing an evade and counter skill, like if they fully evade an attack, respond with skill 1. One thing I've been wondering is if Assist Attack is going to show up in other places, and if it does, there's two good candidates. Either give us an R Corp Commander, who uses Charge on S3 to trigger Assist Attack, or introduce a "World of the Index" clan.
Given that Assist Attack specifically has a harpoon icon in reference to Captain Ishmael herself, and that the gimmick originated in the Ahab Trio fight, I think there's a good chance we won't see it again. Which is a shame really, because assist attack could be absolutely insane for most teams, but running Captain Ishmael means you're not running another, say, Tremor or Rupture unit. I guess there's _maybe_ a chance they could bring it back under another name or icon?
@@green_the_ninja If we're talking Zwei, they could bring back the auto redirect gimmick attacks from the Ahab trio onto a tanking Zwei ID that generates lots of shield via skills or passives. Basically make the ID auto-sub in for hits in a lost Clash/onesided attacks, getting shield based on Sin resonance. This would be relevant in human battles where you sometimes can't avoid enemy onesided attacks and would be useful in focused encounters where it's better to take a hit rather than risk failing a clash. It would act as insurance.
Glad to see someone talking about how great Meursault’s S2 is. I’ve mostly seen people talk about his S3, but I’ve had fights where Meursault came out on top because of how much damage he did with his S2.
Yeah his skill 2 really does act like most ID's skill 3, which is crazy considering his skill 3 still has use cases and is arguably stronger regardless.
Thankfully, you don't miss much, it is just me saying "Before the Attack, this skill can gain +2 attack weight" I'm so sorry for this blunder that surely ruined the viewer experience to an irreparable degree. (Seriously though wtf Davinci Resolve)
Just wanted to say thanks for the great video and all the content you did in the past several months in general, it really helped me out a ton and your style is really informative and entertaining~! ♥
Honestly, i'm surprised how you forgot to mention Kurokumo Rodion as weird but great fit for the BL team. Her counter and skill 3 being pride helps the res shenanigan a lot and they also fuel What is cast. Plus, she also helps with faust's whole bleed thing going on
I do use her, and her EGOs go well with the Pride spam, but she doesn't do a lot of damage so she's almost there as a utility. Which is fine, they have clash and damage coming out of their ears.
@@snipermagoo She is an old ID tho. Not having the standard 3-4 coins skills does hurt a lot but i believe that her sky clearing strike gimmick sure compensates.
@@superGextreme I've found her main advantage is that she can pass skill tests, which BL are all pretty bad at because they have no big-dick rolls of their own.
I do have to wonder about a interesting possibility in the far future, that being if we ever get content that would allow us to bring a full team of 12. Ignoring most of the balance issues from it, it would allow two entire groups of ids that want to be in their teams of six such as N Corp and Blade Lineage to meet both conditions (I know half the sinners overlap but still) which could lead to some neat situations.
Kinda surprised you didn't talk about the Surgery/Screwloose Wallop synergy with Mersault, as it easily amps your damage while also lowering your health at the same time, which gives even more damage, and can get the resources for it quite easily with a BL team
It doesn't though, it lowers Max HP so it doesn't actually boost Kimsault's damage bonuses for lost HP. The big bonus of screwloose is permanent damage up and haste, but Regret is preferable for coin power both increasing damage and clashing power, though it only targets one skill per turn.
One thing that I noticed: all skill 1 and 2 of the BL IDs are some form of Accupucture and Draw of the Sword, despite name differences or literally carying the name. Don probally the most different, with Draw of the Sword being a piercing skill while Blade Arc being a slash skill.
I legit think the biggest benefit of BL Meursault isn't even the batshit insane TCTB damage, it's just how much he buffs the other BL IDs for simply existing and using his S1 and S2. Having him around with just a Nebulizer as a poise EGO gift and he can make BL Outis roll a 23 with her S1, BL Sang's S1 potentially climbing to I believe 25 etc, all the while increasing their raw damage and critical damage as well for the privilege of having a specific amount of poise. While a lot of people look at TCTB because ''big number satisfactory,'' (and yes it very much is I love dealing 2k damage without any commitment) the main benefit is the raw power he offers the others. Sure, TCTB is gonna get used maybe... 3 to 4 times per MD run, for stuff like floor 3-5 bosses and Jun if he jumpscares you, but how many times are the other units skills being used in turn? The comparative power is on such a different level between TCTB and just the basic ''Here, have like +8 coin power because you're my student. And also increased crit damage when you do crit'' that I'm legit a bit surprised more people aren't focusing on it. Could just be because TCTB is a hype and very upfront thing that happens and instantly just evaporates basically anything because lmao, and the coin/crit buffs are more background benefits. Big number funny, never seen Kim literally cease existing so fast in my life.
BL Lineage is by far one if not, the best Meursault ID as of now. That aside, the fact that he buffed blade lineage ids that's used to be the most useless to function, he's amazing. Also, I doubt Gregor id is Jun's, in fact, I believe that before Canto 6 drop, PM will drop Heathcliff's Jun ID, or Ishmael's to make KK squad complete.
The fact you recommended a team that almost mirrors mine (I use Kimsault, BL Faust and Don, Pequod Heathcliff and Fishmael, and finally, Kurokumo Rodion) feels perfect
You might have been spot on with your team leader fixing bad archetypes theory, because we just got Liu Director Rodya who might do just that for the Liu XD (Hopefully)
Honestly another fun combo for the blade lineage team is adding Cinq Cinqlair and Cinq Outis. They have more consistent poise as well as coins and they both help with missing sin generation.
Great video! And I agree as well. We need more ID’s that actually buff one another same ID’s! I’m tired of the lack of actual “team building” aspect! I know we have “Ok” ones atm, but we want more ID’s like BL Mersault buffing the already existing ID’s out on making them more valuable.
I absolutely love Blade Lineage Meur My Non MD Poise Team ended up with 4 Blade Lineages(Meur, Don, Yi Sang, Faust), Cinq Sinclair(Way better Sin Affinity than BL and is just more usefull), and Captain Ishmael(Pride Heavy Team that also would love their Skill 1 get used, especially Faust)
@@inukuji9294Cinq Sinclair has Gluttony Skill 1 and Evade which you want for Faust and Yi Sang His Skill 3 which is Lust is nice to have and can potentially inflict fragile He gets a lot of Poise Count by himself and BL Don can potentially raise his Potency without Skill 3 His high Speed and Evade can be helpful if you dont want a Blade Lineage to take Damage He also clash WAY higher than BL Sinclair

Literally one day later after Esgoo makes a video explaining how Kimsault changes the game by setting a precedent for faction leaders, they announce Liu Rhodeon, I can't wait to see him be proved right when the kit drops
Meursault's Skill 1 & 2 being named the same as the other Blade Lineage IDs while also buffing the skills of the same name is fitting lore wise as Meursault is the Mentor teaching them the techniques, his "buffs" are basically showing his team how to properly do their own attacks.
Btw for anyone wondering if dons skill 3 works on herself yes it does. I was rly confused why she randomly got +4 poise count on critting with her skill 3 until esgoo pointed out thats what the wording implies
I believe the next Harmony ID, the next teamleader so to speak, will be the KK one (Sayo) and it will most likely do something akin to the KK EGO gift where the first time a KK ID does damage in a turn, they also inflict +2 Bleed Potency and +2 Bleed Count. It would solidify the KK faction as someone who relies solely on bleed potency and attack level down, while also only having a low amount of skill that inflict bleed count while still working as a bleed team.
Currently sharding up an Ahabshmael for something like this with the only difference being yeeting harpooner and faust because I just don’t have them and replacing them with Magic Boutis and Wyoshu
As for team comps with Kimsault I'm basically using a variation with cinq Sinclair and twinhook Gregor (though for now I don't have bl yi sang nor Faust yet but soon), both with skill 2 prides and both enjoying some poise buffs from Don, though it is true that they might be lacking from blunt damage is still a strong combo regardless. As for buffing id's directly, I would love that too, but there's always this thing with gacha games in general that they don't really buff or nerf the characters, unless there's some OP glitch or something, but i really want to see these old id's having a direct buff, make bl outis actually work because she just doesn't work alone with poise, similar with Sinclair but at least he can get 2 poise count I guess, even though skill 1 and 2's coins are not great at all, but they suffered from being the first ids of the game, which is just sad to think about.
Recently got back into the game cuz of Mersault, pulled him on the first ten pulls I had saved after not playing since the few months since release and put him on my team(which also happened to be the other 000 blade lineage ids) and the first thing I thought to myself after doing a few story battles was 'Was this game always this easy?' lol Thanks for the video :)
I can also make a recommendation for Kurokumo Rodion in this team. Mostly because she has gloom as a skill 1 which is otherwise only given by Faust skill 3, and gloom gives you fluid sac. She's also a notably alright poise and bleed identity with alright rolls. For mirror dungeon specifically, you can also drop Yi Sang for another bleed identity and get bloody mist. Hook Lu is a pretty alright option, has pride and some lust as well as lots of bleed count. Kurokumo Ryoshu is another alright option for similar reasons, on top of her very solid rolls outside her skill 1. First mate Yi Sang is also a potential option. Pirate Gregor is another quite good choice. Really you can probably get away with whatever bleed team you were running but swapping 2 dudes for BL Faust and BL Mersault
I come see the start of this. Oh Wild Hunt Heathcliff, you make sinking so good. What BL Meursault did for Poise and Philipclair did for Burn, Huntcliff does for Sinking. edit: HAHAHHAHAHAHA! HAHHAHHAH! MEAHAHAH! HAHAHAHAH
I do mean very specifically as an assist attack target, it says a lot about the other skills that his is probably the worst one to hit, but even that one is still good
other options for teambuilding: cinqlair has a pride S2, poise, and lust/gluttony help to cover your bases for sin generation quite a bit I'd also recommend cinq outis for similar reasons, alongside having a pride evade and because of the ridiculous potential that evade tanks can have.
*also wyoshu because even if she doesn't have much to offer with poise or bleed, she just hits hard, has a pride S2 and can apply a good amount of fragility with Leap and her base EGO
I see bl mersau as something of a teamwork unit. The risk of bad shit when solo is high. But when working with allies (specifically blade lineage. AND BL ONLY.) GOD DAMN HE IS GOOD. I dont have a full bl team feaseable rn. But im working on upgrading outis (albeit how trash she is.) and getting blaust.
ALSO DONT GET ME STARTED ON ACUPUNCTURE. IT FEELS LIKE A SAFE VERSION OF SELF DESTRUCTIVE PURGE ESPECIALLY WHEN CRITTING ITS LIKE NOT GONNA SUGARCOAT IT. ACUPUNCTURE ACUPUNCTURE OH I HAVE DOPO ROBE?! YIELD MY FLESH TO CLAIM THEIR BONES BITCH WOOOO!
It's wild I just heard that BL Yi Sang's skill 1 is the worst of something in a sentence when I've seen that thing roll a 17-22 fairly consistently once the poise gets up there for the poised passive + Swordplay of the homeland + mersault skill 1 + ishmael pride power up giving a 22 clashing skill 1 which is absolutely crazy
I have seen BL Sinclair hit 200+ damage on his skill 3. And even if his other skills are relatively lame, the power of 3 free crits on his S2 and a two-hit S1 are good
Plus the clashs of his other skills are really good, thanks to his passive BL yi sang can roll up to 20 on skill 1 along with kim mersault which is a very abusable easy win clash skill. Oh and it also has high offensive power too.
@@glwgameplayer1716 ikr even without lucky pouch bl sinclair can oneshot people left and right with claim their bones if he crit also with don and meur he's the most consistent poise id that never run out of poise. lastly after switching his S1 with S3 and you have funny bamboo hat ego gift jun can be completely oneshotted by BL sinclair at turn 2
Not surprising, Esgoo spends a lot of time disrespecting good anf decent identities because he doesn't do a whole lot of testing with them. He's too busy testing with the ones he likes the most. Faust is pretty damn good in her own right and mine outdamages meursault often.
Personally, i see BL Faust not as a bleed unit, but as a buffer-debuffer depending on how you look at it. RPB can be viewed as a mark that makes enemies take more damage from our crits, and trust me +30% provided to anyone is pretty cool! (especially on top of all buffs meursault brings)
I will say that I did try throwing captain ishmael on the BL team before I had Don. (Don't judge me for being boring I like a complete squad.) She doesn't do that well. It's not that she's any less powerful than usual but she just doesn't have the damage to get any kills. Since almost all of her effects are kill hungry, it makes almost all of the support she can give the team useless. Put this on top of the fact the rest of BL team will decimate enemy numbers with crit damage and your suggested Heathcliff would do the same with his envy skills and she'll just corrode and uselessly fail clashes left and right. That's just my experience with it though, while she's great in theory the constant drain on her sanity as the rest of BL finishes off enemies just leaves a lot to be designed. BL Outis has functioned a lot better by comparison, if only because she gains so many buffs from Kimsault and you don't need to worry about her corroding. That said all you need to do is level her up and bring her to tier 3. She literally just exists at that point to either be a sacrificial pawn for a big attack and eventually bring Kimsault to his final form, her tier 4 doesn't really do anything wild unless you somehow don't 100% to 0% their HP with Sinclair's S3 and that's big ask since I've seen that do 400 damage. The only other thing I can say in her defense on the team is that she's less great by herself and more her value is in how her presence double Kimsault's buffs. Really any suggested member for the team has to make up for that difference, though if you're already replacing sinclair too that's not much of a worry I suppose. Still I'd as sooner consider some other options that are less dependent on kills because even without 6 members Kimsault turns most of BL units into absolute killing machines and they won't get a chance to finish enemies off.
Yeah, I don't really get why people just write off BL Outis in this team. With all the buffs Meur throws around with a full Blade Lineage team, she rolls about average and can clash perfectly fine. And even if she didn't, I feel the massive gains from a 6 man team throw the Blade Lineage IDs dmg through the roof far harder then just bringing one or two random ids instead of the full team
Except for the fact that you just don't bring her for the "on kill" effects, you bring her for her almighty S2, that procs 100% of the time and orders good S1 of BL to do some funky damage while still getting poise/Kimsault S1 attack, and having S3 that just finishes anybody. She's not that good in MD overall because of her hard sanity maintain but bringing her to the boss just so worth it.
…I also notice a lot of people seem to forget that you can just use defense skills to let her finish off a straggler with no real risk, and she always gains a ton of sanity whenever she does actually get a kill.
Pequod Captain, First Mate, Harpooneer, Blade Lineage Mentor, Salsu Outis, Salsu Don Quijote. That is the team which ANNIHILATES Mirror Dungeon Hard. Meursault is god.
Okay, I know you said that there's not really any real reason to use BL Meur's counter, but there *is*. Just depends on team comp. It's Envy. That means, depending on your team setup (I use the entire Pequod crew, Kromerfaust, Rosedya), you can use it to get the 6 envy A-Res for a Sever Knot on Harpooner. Yes, it's really niche. But it does still sometimes come in handy. (Yes, you could use Screwloose Wallop instead. But Regret is likely wiser to bring, instead.) (Okay you did mention this towards the end, I've been slowly composing this as I watch. But I do mean it in a slightly different context. 6 A-Res compared to 4 general res.) (There are also other reasons I would recommend that team composition)
surely were gonna get a kurokumo heath and ish to counteract blade lineage (in order to balance the numbers we need to have botha them be 000's since kk clan is 2 000's behind bl and nothing else and one of them has to be a sort of leader like how bl meursault is (perhaps ishmael could be Sayo and heathcliff could be someone else) and instead of pride they would probably be lust, instead of poise they are bleed (but i mean PM is kinda scared of bleed))
I use BL Meursault, Yi Sang, Faust, Captain Ishmael, K Corp Hong Lu (Harpooner Heathcliff if Mirror Dungeons) and W ryoshu (Pirate Gregor if mirror dungeons) as my blade lineage team.
The reason why BL Mersault is so strong is because the following happened:
Dante: "Mersault, I appreciate how you actually listen to what I have to say, but it's really a shame that none of your identities are meta."
Mersault: "Do you want me to have a meta identity, manager?"
Dante: "Well, I mean, yeah... but it's not like there's anything you can really do to-"
Mersault: "Very well, I shall get a meta identity for myself."
Dante: "Mersault... this is all entirely determined by Mephistopheles' engine, it's not like you can just-"
Dante is interrupted by Mersault punching the engine and BL Mersault popping out of it.
Dante: "..."
Mersault: "Is this identity satisfactory for you, manager?"
Dante: "...yes."
Mersault: "je suis ravi que ça vous ait plu."

I really like that they were able to make Blade Lineage Yi Sang a powerhouse. He has consistently been one of my top three damage dealers in the mirror dungeons.
He has been a powerhouse since upt4. He may be a low S tier id now that don and muersault exist to give even more poise.
@@thegoldenraysoftheglorious1180 If he was low tier before, he moved way up now. Flank Thrust is doing numbers and he pulled his weight on my RR3 with the poise + captain ish/harpooner team.

_"What its just a little Blade Lineage I-"_
_"OH MY GOODNESS."_
It's not just poise units, charge and self-tremor units can all work with her, she has so much potential to be built around, while also not feeling like you're truly just BUILDING AROUND HER - since she is still a support unit
.

The fact that a potential Xiao ID could give her team buffs similar to that of Soothe the Dead anywhere is exhilarating.
(+6 if its his skill 1 and a +4/5 if its his skill 2, idk if the 1.5 from swordplay rounds up or down), and he can achieve even funnier numbers with Rending or Penetrating
Hes been super fun using in MD, since even in the latter floors he can still outclash pretty much anything outside of elite nodes and bosses, but hes still super competent at it
BL Yi Sang is an interesting case of how to handle buffing a previously undertuned character . . . largely because instead of adjusting his numbers and calling it a day PM decided to slap on strong ascension bonuses and team synergies which send his numbers to the goddamn moon if you know what you're doing.
Anything.... please.... I need her to get a new 3 star.

esgoo, you rock, the quality of your videos are crazy

Let’s gooooooo. I’ve been waiting for this since the last video.
Also to note, BLMeur actually maxes out his damage bonus from missing health at 50% hp, so it’s not that hard to get the full damage bonus.
@@chickenbacon5197
It does make your max health significantly lower to the point one attack can reduce his health by half for the damage effect

Ahab, wake up, ESGOO made a 25+ minute video
Recently got back into the game cuz of Mersault, pulled him on the first ten pulls I had saved after not playing since the few months since release and put him on my team(which also happened to be the other 000 blade lineage ids) and the first thing I thought to myself after doing a few story battles was 'Was this game always this easy?' lol

I use him with cap Ishmael to achieve an almost Library level of buff stacking with sword play, pride damage up, poise, and sometimes slash power up.
I come see the start of this.

other options for teambuilding:
cinqlair has a pride S2, poise, and lust/gluttony help to cover your bases for sin generation quite a bit

Faust is pretty damn good in her own right and mine outdamages meursault often.
fellow sayo heathcliff believer.
Who is next? More Liu Association IDs are coming, so...
Shi ishmail is the one i use to change outis. She can generate a lot of poise and does a lot 9f damage with its condotional fulfiled
You can fix it by putting her in slot 1 but that doesn't help in some combats and it means Meursault isn't in slot 1.
Thank you for reading his abilities for me 👍
I wish we get Nikolai/Myo/Rudolph/Maxim 4th pack IDs one day
Pequod Captain, First Mate, Harpooneer, Blade Lineage Mentor, Salsu Outis, Salsu Don Quijote. That is the team which ANNIHILATES Mirror Dungeon Hard. Meursault is god.
amazing video as always
did you play the video at like...1200x speed? damn.

wake up BBG, a new Limbus update dropped
Okay, I know you said that there's not really any real reason to use BL Meur's counter, but there *is*. Just depends on team comp. It's Envy.
That means, depending on your team setup (I use the entire Pequod crew, Kromerfaust, Rosedya), you can use it to get the 6 envy A-Res for a Sever Knot on Harpooner.
Yes, it's really niche. But it does still sometimes come in handy.
(Yes, you could use Screwloose Wallop instead. But Regret is likely wiser to bring, instead.)
(Okay you did mention this towards the end, I've been slowly composing this as I watch. But I do mean it in a slightly different context. 6 A-Res compared to 4 general res.)
(There are also other reasons I would recommend that team composition)
surely were gonna get a kurokumo heath and ish to counteract blade lineage (in order to balance the numbers we need to have botha them be 000's since kk clan is 2 000's behind bl and nothing else and one of them has to be a sort of leader like how bl meursault is (perhaps ishmael could be Sayo and heathcliff could be someone else) and instead of pride they would probably be lust, instead of poise they are bleed (but i mean PM is kinda scared of bleed))
I cant bring myself to drop sinclair given how they resolve his main issue of poise gen. and big chonky crits are fun

I use BL Meursault, Yi Sang, Faust, Captain Ishmael, K Corp Hong Lu (Harpooner Heathcliff if Mirror Dungeons) and W ryoshu (Pirate Gregor if mirror dungeons) as my blade lineage team.
