Bought a new noise filter because the old one didn't have continuity. New one also didn't have continuity in the second pin and it didn't fix my problem.
@@albertoguerrero80 It ended up being the logic board. Open it up and see if you see any black burn marks on any components. I was able to get a used one for like $60 I think and it's still working just fine today.
Was this a long term fix. I’ve found the same lack of continuity across the middle terminals however many others have suggested checking voltage in and out of the device. My voltage seems to be fine so I’m not certain if this is the correct part to replace In my case.
I believe there is not supposed to be continuity between the middle prongs. (Only the first and third. ) My brand new noise filter does not have continuity between the 2 middle contacts.
@@leahfaith304 I agree. If you look at the power in plug assembly it's just neutral and hot (black/white) and the power out side has a center ground. I am guessing there is no reason to couple a dead leg from one side to the other. Did your new filter fix the problem?
Purchased 2 new noise filters -6201ec1006t and neither had continuity on the middle leed, or on the old supposed bad part. My no power issue was due to a bad computer board.
I replaced my control board, but it only turns on when I spin the tub. So I have a new noise filter ordered and hoping this fixes it. My current (old) noise filter only has continuity in the first prongs, like the video shows.
Everyone shows how to replace it, but no testing instructions. Thank you for including the test.
Very helpful! Thanks for the detail troubleshooting guide
Thank you for showing how to test, that was very helpful. Waiting for my new part to arrive!

Thank you for your comment,I have been debating this in my head all day. You saved me from waistong $70
This isn't suppose to have continuity on the middle terminal.
Should test booth

Washing machine working flawlessly since replacing the part.
