    This looks like an amazing time--I have watched all the Alberta videos, and they always look great. I had no idea you had so many carbines! I wonder that you don't shoot some of the volley, independent, and skirmish practices from one of the Musketry Instructions.

      If you watch the video from last year, we did shoot some practices that were at least inspired by the actual ones... Scaled targets and the like...

    Another Job well done Rob. In 2011 Colin Hamlinton of the Durban, kwaZulu Natal, South Africa Black Powder Club from where the Provincial Match originated attended this Victorian Rifleman Gathering, then held in the swamp.

      Do you have a maximum number of people that can attend? Is it limited by accomodation, regulations or tradition? I love these videos every year, even though I'm always disappointed there are no Webleys

      @@lptomtom Glad you enjoy them! Thank you. Ultimately, it is only open to invitees of the landowner... sorry... As for Webleys, handgun use is fraught with difficulties in Canada.

    Love watching the Alberta shoots, looks like a great time! It’s a 2500 mile trip one way but thinking the toughest part would be crossing the boarder with enough fire power to hold off hundreds of Zulu’s….but Kentucky is next. Hope we see you in Easton again soon !!!

      Dirty mostly when using the Enfield and anything with a patch like the Baker or, in this case, the Brunswick.

    That looked like a lot of fun. I have owned a Mounted Police LE carbine and it was a pleasure to shoot with Dominion round nose. The .45-75 Winchester was a bit of a bear but the weight of the carbine compensated some what and brass was a bit hard to find so sessions were short. The worst was the Martini-Henry, just punishing! Cheers.

    Greetings from Maryland, USA. Thoroughly enjoyed watching in absentia. I had intended to shoot my Snider Rifle at the range before it became too hot to go out in the Noonday sun here. But the big ball of fire in the sky has kept the temperatures in the 90s, which my Nordic genes can no longer tolerate. Thanks again for making this wonderful video.

      @@buddysbird3128 I live in Catonsville and it is a 30 minute drive for me. I guess an hour's drive for you. Check the website and Google Maps. Lovely outdoor ranges. Membership required. Best to visit on a Weekday if possible, when the temps are in the 70's.

      Haha! No, I doubt it very much.... the tack, the horse, the facility,... that's a huge step in investment and time... not to mention a horse that was trained with gunfire....

    Should you ever visit Queensland Australia, I recommend you visit Owens Gun Shop located in Gympie Queensland.
    Their examples of 19th and 20th century is outstanding !

    Hello! Great content as always. I have a question regarding the "Serjeant's Fusil" in particular. I was aware that light company Serjeant's did not carry spontoons; however, not that their musket was any different from any other enlisted man. Do you know the exact name of this musket? Or where I could find more information? Thanks!

      The 1797 India Pattern Sergeant's Carbine as noted in DW Bailey's "British Military Longarms 1715-1865"

    How did you find shooting the Berthier? I picked one up in October 2021 and only got to shoot it a month ago as ammo for it is just thar rare here in Ireland.

      @@britishmuzzleloaders I didn't find it mild at all. Mine is a carbine and it's a thumper.
      I suppose compared to Sniders and Martini's , everything is soft shooting 😄

      Its "Udderly Smooth" a water based hand cream. Does a good job in keeping down the fouling. A technique used by many... It's mentioned in the "Observations on Performing to Potential" video on the Martini and in earlier Alberta shoot videos, if you are interested.

    I want to do a British colonial WW2 impression (perhaps India or even a French Indochina one). Any good places to find these uniforms?

      Don't know what a WW2 colonial impression is but all the info on the WW2 kit used on the Channel is in Part 7 and 8 of the Kit series, if you are interested.

      There were few "Colonies" that would have had their own uniforms. The Dominons,... i.e. Canada, Australia, NZ, etc,... obviously had their own. Again, look at the supplies mentioned in the videos and see what they have.

      Minor differences in the butt plate and sling swivel securing method, as well as an alteration to the shape of the magazine among other extremely minor modifications.

      Quite a few have them ad use them.... They can be used in the "Provincial" (although at 50yds)... There is just no dedicated match for them..
