  • Well...we made it. I finally finished STAR TREK: PICARD. To celebrate, here is a DOUBLE FEATURE REACTION to "Vox" and "The Last Generation." What a ride this show was. Hope you all enjoy watching this as much as I enjoyed making it.

Terry Matalas also stated in an interview (sorry if someone already mentioned this) that the final scene with the poker game was mostly unscripted. He just told the cast to play and chat for awhile and he filmed them. So while you can't hear what's being said over the music, all of the expressions and reactions are simply the cast hanging out together. This really shows that the cast was just as close as the characters they play.

Terry Matalas has been like a gift from the Trek gods. TNG fans couldn't have asked for a more pitch-perfect final adventure with the entire cast working together, each having important contributions. It was such a celebration of the TNG era, and even though it was filled with fan service, it always fit and felt genuine. I never would have thought that what I was missing all these years was "TNG Meets Wrath of Undiscovered Country." The best of the best. It's been fun watching your reactions to it.

I still cry watching the Enterprise-D bridge scene. Seriously one of the best moments in Star Trek History.

  • @ttanza4004

I think that Terry Matalas did something very special with Season 3 of the show.

The Enterprise D...the original borg killer

  • @happybkwrm

My thoughts; Q was dying in the far future, and decided to go back in time to Picard. :)

  • @Cooper_Vision

If this gets zapped before I'm home ill be cross =A=

No matter how many times I watch it I’m still not a fan of the choice to rename the Titan. I feel like the scene would have played better if the ship had been re-named USS Picard.

I disliked most of the Picard show (liked some parts of season 1), but i did enjoy the final season.

The Borg Queen was voiced by Alice Krige but the person actually playing her was dr. Quinn medicine woman.... And I love how they tied back to Voyager Endgame. That virus that Admiral Janeway gives them is the whole reason the the Borg were basically wiped out except for the queen and her cube

The plan was simple: They had the Enterprise-D and its crew.

  • @darthmuppet

I was crying some manful tears when the Enterprise-D made its grand entrance.

I believe Majel Barret, before she died, left a bunch of voice recordings and general computer lines with her permission to use them. If they used that to train an AI for the computer, I think she’d be okay with it.

"I miss that voice." Always hits me. :(

As a lifelong Trekkie, I really enjoyed watching your reaction - best I've seen in fact. This was such a perfect season - Terry Matalas should be given full reign and a blank check on anything Trek he wants to do.

  • @AceYaaya

It probably has been said, but if you looked close at the saucer section you can see the re entry burns still on the hull

    The D... Amazing

Ah man, been loving your content lately - I'm 38 and was in tears watching this scene. This season fixed so much of what hurt my soul about how the movies left the Enterprise crew. I don't even care if it's pure nostalgia - as far as I'm concerned, it's nostalgia done right. Great reaction videos man - you're well-informed, love Star Trek and it's a joy that you're willing to share how emotionally invested you are in this universe. You're an intelligent (and emotionally in-touch) young man and just wanted to reaffirm that. Been loving your Lower Decks content too, keep it up - I'd almost love to hear you discuss Star Trek with other content-creators, you clearly have a lot of meaningful opinions to share. Keep it up buddy :)

when I saw the episode 9 and i confirm, it was EPIC and I never cried so much of deepest Trekkie emotions as in this episode the first was when Adm Shelby speaks about Captain Archer and the NX-01 Adventures, the second the death of Capt Shaw with the 7of9 farewell and then the revealing of the NCC 1701-D, it gets me completely when this wonderful Galaxy-Class fly out of the Dock and in the Background is my beloved NX-01 Refit. BTW what i liked was on the Bottom of the Fleet-Diagram the USS Okuda and the USS Drexler, a little honor for the Designers and of course the USS Hikaru Sulu Episode 10 was a little bit weaker in my opinion but it was a decent send off for the TNG crew
