How to Tell if the Floating Valve has Risen and Fallen

When it rises: As the cooker builds pressure, there will be some steam and potentially some droplets of water coming out through the floating valve opening.
Once it rises, the steam and water will significantly decrease and, in many cases, completely cease to come through.
When if falls: Once the cooking time is over and you switch the regulator knob to the STEAM position to release pressure, the floating valve will stay up until all the internal pressure has released.
Once all the internal pressure is released, the floating valve will fall back down and you’ll see some steam come out through the valve opening. If you are able to turn and open the lid, you will know the floating valve has completely fallen.

Thank you for this video, I almost returned my pressure cooker because I thought it had a missing floating valve. I assumed all float valves look like the ones that the Instant pots have.
