Yep it has been clear to me over this last decade that the democrats are taking over just about any form of media just to brainwash the masses. If someone would have told me that 12-15 years ago I would have laughed at them and called them crazy. Brainwashing people through tv,internet, and other things just sounds crazy and out there, but now it's happening.

Not gonna lie most likely yes. I have also been studying books along these lines of human reactions and actions and how to stir up emotions in people so that one day I can seize power on my reserve and make it something respectable. And look out for my people not just my last name.

Everything is a huge brainwash. It's up to people to do their own research and stop taking things at face value if they would really like to know what is real and what's not. I do think though that some are too weak to have an unpopular opinion and stick with it even if it is the truth. They collapse every time under a crowd mentality.

Hi guys, Here's another book on crowd psychology - The Crowd. The author is Gustave Le Bon and it's his most well known piece of work. In the book he describes the three causes to why individuals behave differently when part of a crowd. Many people have since been influenced by his work and have tried to manipulate crowds based on his findings.

@@LunaDelTuna True, but the problem is that the left doesn't see their own crowd psychology in effect. It's easy to see conspiracy, propaganda, and mob mentality on your opposition's side but almost impossible to see it on your own side. It's run of the mill cognitive dissonance and confirmation bias. Both sides think they're perfectly rational while the other is stupid, evil, and insane. Neither has a grasp on objective reality.
Making a partisan comment on an essay about crowd psych is _deeply_ ironic to be perfectly honest. It's like proving LeBon's point by missing the point.

Edit: I'm not gonna lie, I'm nosey af and did some digging.....I don't judge people but dang girl you got yourself in some hot water there...definitely not a 2 week set it and forget it situation. Regardless, like I said I don't judge - and don't really blame you, I love Mardi Gras as much as the next Blonde southern "catholic", but I will say I'm more of a fan of the Babylon float.
Life is just a learning experience, I may be a stranger who literally just found out you exist like, 10 minutes ago, but I still have a sliver of faith left in us that we can all grow from anything - your situation isn't even really _that_ bad TBH - I'm just dramatic and bored.

Even if you know about this, you will still be affected by it. But I think there are mental techniques to help you resist it. One is being able to think meta-cognitively, separating your consciousness from your body and analyzing yourself as if you were analyzing a character in a movie.
This really starts with asking yourself what you're doing right now in the most basic form. For example, let's say you're about to murder someone you think is evil. When you ask yourself what you're doing, don't think on such a high level as "I'm killing an evil person." In that statement, you are already assuming the person is evil and therefore all is justified. You have to answer in the most basic form: "I'm killing a person." That's obviously bad, so then you can work up to higher level thinking and ask questions like why or in what ways does this person deserve death or does this person even deserve death for doing X.
This way you may be able to catch yourself from committing evil if you were by chance born in 1930s Germany or whatever other genocidal historical event where the crowd is telling you to do evil.
