I recently adopted a 5 year old cavapoo named Chloe and she is the best. She warmed up to me very quickly. She sleeps right beside me at night. She's the only dog that I allow in my bed because she doesn't shed. And I love that she's hypoallergenic. Within half of a day she was following me around every where. She just loves to be snuggled and she really loves her belly rubs. I get no fight from her at bath time or grooming time. She just sits there and let's me make her all pretty. I also love that she's not a barker. She will bark if she feels a threat like a stranger walking in our front door but she doesn't bark at every little sound or person that she hears/sees outside. Chloe is the best and I absolutely agree with this video 100%. Cavapoos are great dogs to have.

We had a lovely shihtzu-poo named Sophie. She lived 17 years, was loyal, affectionate, obedient and smart. Your girl reminds me of that dog. We miss her still 12 years and 2 dogs later. They each had their temperaments, personalities and smarts, but Sophie was the best.

I have twin cavapoos they are both very funny there names are Daisy and Dolly. They both wear the same puppy clothes and we say “sit” and then we say “place” when they sit and that’s how we give them very yummy treats they are the most funniest and majestic puppies ever.

I just got my sweet cavapoo! Her name is Luna and she’s a beautiful rarer color black and some white streaks! She’s amazing and I’ve only had her two weeks…love having her in my family.

Hi there. Thanks for sharing. Sophie is absolutely adorable. I have an elderly Westie-poo and had another poodle hybrid many years ago. I believe the need to be near us comes from the poodle. At least that has been my experience. I am a widow, work out of my home and have a need to always be with also. 😂. My baby goes just about everywhere with me if possible. My baby boy is getting up in age and I absolutely love the Cavapoos. Are you aware of any health issues? I am familiar with the those applicable to poodles and although mine been healthy up until recently when he developed a collapsed trachea due in part to age. Not uncommon for poodles. I really love Sophies hair. More waves as opposed to the kinky poodle curls which my baby has. I brush him frequently but because of the texture, he still requires no less than monthly professional grooming at $150.00 which is more than I pay for cut, highlights and color. Lol. So, do you mind if I inquire about your breeder or are you aware of any good breeders? Also, what is the maximum adult weight? Thank you so much for sharing. Sorry to bombard you with questions. Also, if anyone reading this have recommendations on breeders, it would greatly appreciated. I live in Houston but am willing to fly whatever for a high quality breed. 🐶
I have a Maltese but my boyfriend wanted us to get a cavapoo there was one in the puppy training class I was in with my Maltese puppy and my puppy wanted to play with the cavapoo so badly but he was smart and well behaved listening to instructions and mines was all over the place 😂

I have a black and white cavapoo, and I love her so much she is an amazingly sweet and cuddling dog. She is 11 months, I have a 5 year old son and she loves him and kids in general, they make great family dogs too. My girl is an F1 and has the poodle coating and doesn't really shed, its a win win for me bc I have some slight allergies to dogs, but the poodle dander doesn't bother me. She is my 2nd doodle dog and I think in general doodles are loving, sweet and amazing dogs, though My cavapoo might be a little sweeter in nature than my 1st doodle was but they where both so so sweet.

I’ve had my cavoodle ( we call them cavoodles in Australia) for two years. These really are the best dog breed and my life would never be the same without him. They are just so cute and smart, a tiny bit cheeky but that gives them their loving and adorable personalities :)

I held a cavapoo puppy at the pet store but I thought her eyes were too small. Possibly they grow to be large and adorable like my late Bichon.
Absolutely the best dog on this earth. My Benny is so smart, EXCEPT I CANT POTTY TRAIN him. He’s 5 months old and I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks.
I just ordered bells, with the hopes he’ll learn to ring the bell to go out. Currently carpet is his choice! 😬
We have bells on the back door for Sophie and that's definitely helped with potty training, plus using a lot of high value treats every time she pottied outside too! Stay positive, I'm sure Benny will get there, it sounds like you are on the right track. 😊
I have a 11 month old red cavapoo among my other 3 dogs and she is not smart, she is scared of everything and is not trained (my other dogs are) we have tried everything to train her. But I love her

Hello! We have a 13 month old Cavapoo! We all love ger so much....she's exactly how you described yours. Loves attention, very smart, friendly, and energetic! She's a picky eater....some days she eats such a small amount, I worry about her...she seems thin to me. But our vet said she is healthy....her weight is 10.5 lbs. One thing I've been working on since we first got her is not to jump and scratch people when they come over. She gets so excited! If I know we are having guests I put her in her kennel ahead of time, then when the guests settle in I let her out. Helps somewhat, shd still is so excited. What else can I do??
Ask your guests to totally ignore her to start with. No eye contact, no baby high pitch greetings. This can help a lot. I think putting her in her bed to start with is a great idea to calm her. When she is calm then this is the time to give her attention. Hopefully she will learn that calm behaviour is rewarded and excited behaviour has no rewards

We call them cavoodles in Australia and where I live they are the most common dog breed. I don’t like following what’s popular but I’m drawn to them. I have only had a chihuahua and growing up we had a chihuahua and a fox terrier. I have a 5 year old and it’s been 2 years since our chi passed and we won’t to add a dog back into our family. We are drawn to the teddy like look, kid friendly, learn tricks and loving water and play fetch. We live near a dog beach and love being outdoors.
Cavoodle does seem to sound better than Cavap**. The association of the last syllable of Cavap**, to me demeans these cute, loveable little creatures. My wife and I recently purchased a toy poodle/cavoodle cross and she is the most gorgeous dog I have ever had. No, i could never use the alternative term for Cavoodle. A neighbour has a Cavoodle and they refer to her as a Spoodle.

Hello I am looking to owning a cavapoo as a first time dog owner. Interesting video and what is F1 ? Should I ask this to the breeder?
F1 is a first generation Cavapoo. The inherit 50/ 50 from their parents so it’s hard to predict some of their traits like the color and texture of hair when they become fully grown. There is a great thing about F1 and it is they are healthier. You can goggle more information on the different Cavapoo generation pros and cons.

I think I have gotten myself a Cavapoo! The seller told me he is a Poodle, but his coat is not curly like a poodle. His coat is wavy. He has white on his chest, snout and forehead. He is so friendly, but afraid of everything, even me. Is there anything I can assure him with?

I’m considering getting a cavapoo for a companion. Are cavapoo hard to house train? This is not my first dog but it is my first cavapoo.
Cavapoos are indeed wonderful companions, when I was doing research before adopting Sophie I did read on some websites that cavapoos take longer to potty train than other breeds but I don't have much to compare to because I'm a first time dog owner. I can't say much about all cavapoos in general, but Sophie was fully house trained at 6 months. If you have previous experience house training that will definitely help if you plan on getting a cavapoo.

Do all cavapoos always have dark tear stains? How to deal with that :)

Lovely. I have just killed my dog. She was 16 and very sick. Probably in august/september I will need a new dogfriend. If you dont mind me asking some questions:
1. does a cavapoo bark bark alot? - like about everything and nothing.
2. Strang question how is a cavapoos temper? Are they protective of their owners? - like you are walking with a cavapoo and someone jumps you. Will she just sit and watch or does she join in the "fight"? I know cavapoo is not a guarddog by breed and i do not want a guard dog. The one i had was mixed breed and on the smaller side of medium size. She was a lamb but if something happened she turned into a rotweiler (well, not reallly, but you know).
3. Are they sickly?
TLDR: I am an older woman living alone and need a dog friend and a "guard-dog". Does the cavapoo fit that description?

Sophie's hair has definitely gotten lighter as she grew from puppy into adult and don't worry, Sophie has always used a dog approved seatbelt for every car ride, including the one in this video.

I am adopting a 9 month old Cavapoo. I have been warned that they suffer from separation anxiety,is this true.
Yes, that may be a possibility. It's really important to ensure that your puppy doesn't develop separation anxiety because it's difficult after to train them to feel comfortable and secure being alone. I'm actually starting a series soon featuring Sophie's separation anxiety because so many people want to know more.
They are babied, which makes the issue a problem. Leave them alone every day to start with for half an hour. Train them to not follow you everywhere in the house, reward them for not following, make boundaries. Treat them like a dog, not a baby and you won’t create separate anxiety. Stupid made up word, from people who treat them like children
What size is she?
Not too sure which measurement you're interested in, but I think she's about 14lbs but we're waiting on an upcoming vet appointment.
Sorry this makes me sad. The Cava is short for Cavalier as in Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The breeders of Cavaliers didn't want to become AKC because they knew they'd be over bred and mixed with other breeds. All the attributes are from the Cavalier. They are dedicated to their owners, loving and sweet. Why get a mixed breed when the pure breed is wonderful? Not to mention beautiful. Finding a good breeder is the hardest part but worth it. I have had two and still miss them and I will get another someday.

This is most definitely not the experience for everyone. I have a cavapoo and he literally BARELY eats. Even sometimes rejects raw meat.
