funnily enough, about the "csgo is lifestyle in eatern europe", from what I remember there were a few highschools that actually had an esport profile, where you could pick which game you'll learn and csgo was one of them
Liveservice, gacha games, AAA games, are just factory of sadness.
Which is why a lot of people playing Old games these days.
There are many, many new games that aren't those things.
Indie studios. Solo or Micro dev team games. Selaco is super great.

@@entrophycorp4ig8w The thing that's "wrong" with them is something plaguing the whole industry, i'll choose the lesser evil in this case. Especially when a good part of modern AAA games are so below average in quality they can only offer you a miserable experience since not only they milk everything but most western devs are also bankrupt in creativity. Gacha games use predatory tactis for revenue while also giving you a rich pool of creativity in terms of art, music and stories.
They didn't do nothing with ow2, they made you buy heroes for a game you already paid for but it is ok, they gave you *in store credit*.
For what it's worth, they walked this back and everyone now has access to all characters.

@@Pewafamath You never had to only pay for new heroes, you could either grind the battle pass in the tier 45,or buy the battle pass. Now you get it instantly for free, league is 100x worse in terms of the new champions,it took me around 300 levels to get all the champions

Once you lock in that is it! that is the character your playing! You are not expected to know how to play them all, just the ones you lock in or more presumable the current counter! Meanwhile, OW switching champions *MIDGAME* is a mechanic and if you didn't have the new character day one you just fucked yourself because they are designed in a way for you to WANT THEM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. And the FUNNIEST PART? The battlepass! That fun mechanic they literally give you twitch drops TO SKIP LEVELS. So your arguing about shit they know is shit that was shit and still is shit because they let you skip it. 👍

Exactly. The devs are not the ones making shitty decisions, it’s the higher ups that ruin game studios. When video games became all about the money it lost the art that made them great.
Eh, I'm not saying it's *all* the devs, but some of them are definitely making some awful decisions. The higher ups aren't the ones putting a purple boss with purple spell effects in a purple room. They aren't involved it the awful, swingy balance patches. The higher ups in a company are causing a lot of the problems, but some shit design choices are the result of bad dev work.

OW just a team-based shooter with varying voice lines of 'this is just like Prague' and 'we don't talk about Prague'.
It's still crazy that they launched a $60 team-based shooter, with no single-player, and thought loot boxes, HMVs and eSports could stand in for lore and engaging content.
It's funny that mainly GaaS games are being brought up, as if these are the only games coming out. Play more single player games, more indies you'll be amazed with the creativity and amazing experiences.
There's always EEU player on CS and dota. I'm at SEA and somehow they're in my pubs with a good ping. Must've been living in Thailand or something. Even the rejects are invading other regions lol

Heroes 4 for me.
I quit overwatch with overwatch 2. It was literally just an excuse to start charging money for new characters. They didn't improve the game in any way, just improved their monetization. So they can go suck some pennies.
We league players sometimes forget that we are spoiled when it comes to balance updates, every 2 weeks we get a patch while other games takes months and sometimes they don't even fix the issue (OW Brigitte/GOATS)

@@Kumire_921 really don’t know what you are talking about when is the same game that won game of the year… so yeah, you can criticize the game for the monetization model that already changed like 3 times during the last year or because you have more fun on 6v6 but the core of the game is the same and it’s fun

Blizzard is main problem wasn’t complacent, it was horrible workplace environment and terrible management. It turns out that terrible management of people also applies to terrible management of games.
The internal problems where bad, but it was the icing to the cake. They made the game worse by doing nothing for long periods of time, did you forget the GOATS meta? A combination of both doing nothing and catering to the 1% killed Overwatch 1, Overwatch 2 was killed by going P2W and none of the promises like PvE Story and no progression from a time where you could have all of it without spending. They gave players an ultimatum and only the blind couldn't see what they had happened, alongside their history of refusing to change for the betterment of the game.
That is such a massive cope plenty places have bad work environment that ISNT being exagerated and their games arent trash
"They were mean to people so games suck" is a dumb excuse people tell themselves to cope.
They have horrible workplace AND hire clueless incompetent developers AND are managed by clueless people WHILE ALSO being more concerned with trying to win awards for useless things rather than making solid product AND are greedy.
Remove bad work place environment - which u shouod noone deserves to be treated like that - and company is still trash

You don't have to know how games are made but don't pretend like you know bc you play a lot of them. I sit in buildings all day but that doesn't make me an architect. And that's okay: you're not a pro gamedev, I'm not an architect. That's like saying "why did the key grip let Awkwafina act in this film? She's terrible and so is the key grip for wanting to work on a film they didn't come up with."

Old school games and old school philosophical take on games where the best, the point is to have fun and enjoy them instead of being lectured on politics of so called “modern audience” or “global standards”, a.k.a lowest common denominator of dumbing everything down to not offend anyone, a.k.a a slop of American high school school food.

Yeah. Even indie devs suck now. Where once they became the new beacon of creative and original ideas, now they are just as bad, if not worse than the AAA companies, since they produce the same carbon copy games on mass. All these deckbuilding and roguelikes that get popped out on a near constant basis. And even though bullet hells have existed since forever, the amount that have sprung up since Vampire Survivor, and even include "Survivor" in their own name is just...wow.
It's not that less innovative games are being made, it's just that the barrier to entry has been lowered and that the market is being flooded with games that are essentially X-game but with Y-mechanic.
Not every game can generate a new genre, having similar games is okay.
Every month loads of new innovative indies are released, you just need to know where to find them.
