The evolution with the military issue product to the concurring refined machine we get to enjoy now . The famous yellow Hummer H1 in Chula Vista Eastlake , owner of it advertised his SUBWAY store logos on it ! That LBZ is the game changer and glad to see a great company like yours is offering for the H1/H2 . I drove the humvee in saudi arabia 1992-1993 n thats where my passion started

    Thanks for another great video guys, I'm learning so much from your video's. I've recently purchased an m1123 and plan to install the 10,500k front and rear hydraulic winch kit witch l already own. My question is how do you feel about running the factory power steering pump vs the up grated hydraulic pump I'm seeing on the newer vehicles? Thanks in advance and by the way, your roof rack looks awesome on my wagon top....

    You can't make it good for without removing center bump which consumes whole space. This can be done installing custom engine and gearbox, air cooled engine or rotary small engine with higher power.

    Only things I would have added information wise is the difference in wheels (16.5/17, steel vs alum, headlock, etc), different body styles (although maybe that's not what you were going for), and concerns about the 6.5l TD #8 block cracking issue.

    • @PredatorInc
      @PredatorInc  4 роки тому +2

      Yes sir. Good info that should have been added with the body and there is some significant advantages and disadvantages to the rims. One thing that we cut was the differences from the 2dr to extended 2dr cab as well as the recruit model. Both should have been in the episode but we were just running out of time. I think we could easily add some of the significant body changes as well as rims into another episode easily. Thanks for the feedback!

    Hi, as I am located in Europe I was thinking of buying a H1 and put AUDI Q7 V12 TDI engine and transmission in H1. That engine has 500hp/1000 torque. I think it would be only H1 with V12 diesel engine. Also spare parts would be easier to get. Is it possible to put that engine in H1 and make it work ( electronics ).
    Thanks for reply

    I'm completing getting a former military Humvee and getting it upgraded is there anything I should be looking at before buying it other than the obvious structural damage that might be there. I do plan on upgrading the motor and transmission I am putting it as a four-door hardtop wagon

    • @PredatorInc
      @PredatorInc  4 роки тому +1

      Its best to get eyes on it. Most HMMWV's are in decent shape considering the older years. Most sat around so you can typically see the condition right off the bat when you first walk up. Expect most of the rubber will need to be replaced if it has been sitting around. Otherwise, great truck! Have fun with it!!!

    • @PredatorInc
      @PredatorInc  4 роки тому

      2.73:1 prior years and on the 98 they switched to 2.56:1. Not necessarily a huge difference but big enough you can feel and see with lower RPM levels.

      Look for the ecv front end with should have the 6.5td and 4l80 trans. That's going to give you increased drivability. Shoot us a call with any questions, happy to help. Just be careful of titling issues in your state. Several states will not title a hmmwv.

    Can you get alpha interior on the 2001 you have for sale ? How much aprox? What are the main dif on the alpha models beside stock duramax?

    • @PredatorInc
      @PredatorInc  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, we have a kit that we can retrofit into the 2001. It really depends on options however the base kit starts at $4970. Lots of options including materials used, installation etc. will add to the price. Differences include slightly different frame, helical cut geared hub gears, sheppard steering gear box and obviously the interior changes.

    • @PredatorInc
      @PredatorInc  4 роки тому +5

      No, its really close to being a HMMWV with pieces of an Alpha Dash. Its actually a kit car from AM General. Provided without an engine with the idea of it going to a shop like ours to have it completed. The other issue is it does not come with a vin and title which can cause some problems getting them registered similar to a HMMWV in many states. Still a great option if it got off the ground but unfortunately it never took off.

    CAN A SURPLUS HUMVEE HAVE CTIS ADDED?

    • @PredatorInc
      @PredatorInc  4 роки тому +1

      Yes you can. Fairly straight forward. Parts may get a little pricey but if you pieced some of the geared hub parts from NOS off of ebay, and throw in an aftermarket air pump, you could probably put it together fairly reasonably. That is probably one of the better upgrades you could do on a HMMWV.
