Number 3 is probably most likely what would have to happened... Amazon is like having lifetime Box seat at your favorite team arena but it is in the no beer section or behind a large pillar.... Yeah you can hear the game but you would be better off watching it from home.... LOL

@@koala9090 My app ScoutIQ tells me the books sales rank which indicates how often it sells. It also tells me what the book is currently selling for in comparison to what I'm buying it for. The app then shows you the difference as profit.

Around 11:04 - Was one of my favorite parts of the video. Learning that you dont necessarily need invoices and being able to just apply and hopefully getting automatically approved is great info. Reezy, I've sold over 4700 items within the last two years an I'm not ungated in Nike, LEGO or Adidas. That 2000 number is a ghost.

Been on amazon fba since 2012 well over 2k items sold. Metrics are good around 580. Still gated on nike, adidas, nerf, barbie, etc. Auto approved for under armour, columbia, puma, lots of others. Not sure when nike and adidas will open up but i keep trying. Also do you ever sell shoes in new condition in a blank box? Amazon says new in shoes can be reboxed, but i'm weary of it. Thanks.

Hi, I'm trying to do retail arbitrage but whatever deals I see on slickdeals, eBay Daily Deals, Dealsnews, Best Buy that I could make some good profits and the product itself ranks high on Amazon I get a restriction. When I request for approval it's asking me for at least 1 purchase invoice for products from a manufacturer or distributor. My question is are companies like B&Hphoto and Best Buy Distributors? Would a receipt from them work? I really don't want to get 10 or 20 items that I will later find out I can't sell them. TIA

Still no auto-approval for Nike. Over $10k every month for 10 months, last 3 months over $25k. Still no Nike, Nerf, Barbie, LEGO (toys easy to get wholesale invoice, not as easy for Nike).
I'm a beginner reseller thinking about slowly switching to this gig from driving Uber (where I make $3,000 to $ 4,500 /month driving full time) or as a side hustle. I tried to sign up for Entertainment Earth and it wants me to submit a "government issued company document (such as your state resale certificate or business license). How do I get them? And after making the account with them do I get ungated from selling Star Wars, Lego etc? I have to apply to Amazon right? What type of document does Amazon want to see? Thank you.

And a lot of the ones that I can sell have high rankings which means they won't sell quick, making it not worth to buy them in order to resell.

It's definitely NOT 2K units! I've been selling on Amazon for years, have sold 20K+ units over the last 5 years, have great metrics, auto-ungated in many categories and for many brands, but still not getting auto-ungated to sell Nike. ☹️

@@ReezyResells In fact, I did 2,374 units in 3 months between 1/1/20 and 4/1/20 ($58 average selling price). Or on average 2,000 units about every 3 months the last couple of years. Maybe doing 2,000 units within 2 months might do the trick?

@@ReezyResells Mostly FBA. I'm merchant fufilled prime approved as well. But I have fufilled 1314 orders myself in 2018 and Amazon has fufilled 4787 in 2018 for me. so over 6100 orders in 2018

8am 1/28/19. First and foremost I just want to say THANK YOU!!! This video was very informative. Videos like this help me in a big way to keep progressing and growing my business. Definitely smashed that like button for ya. A video suggestion for the future could possibly be maybe the steps to take to start an LLC? I sell on Amazon but don’t have an LLC yet. I plan on getting one when I quit my retail management job soon and go full time FBA! But I have some research to do before that happens. I’m very meticulous in tracking my expenses and profits and have created excel worksheets to track everything etc. anyways I’m rambling lol. Thank you for the info! If you are ever in Tampa maybe we will cross paths. 👍
Look into an S Corp instead of LLC. It will save you a lot of tax money. My accountant just converted mine and it cut this years taxes by 8k
Zach Fern thanks! After doing some reading it appears that you can still run the business as an LLC and file taxes as an S Corp as long as you pay yourself a salary.
Here's One Example
Suppose you are an LLC owner taxed as a sole proprietor and your business makes $100,00 profit. You will report $100,000 of income, and you will pay Social Security tax and Medicare tax on the entire $100,000.
Now suppose you have elected to be taxed as an S corp. and have determined that your reasonable salary is $50,000. Your salary is a business expense, so the business now has a $50,000 profit. You will still report $100,000 of income [$50,000 of salary plus $50,000 of profit], but you and your business will only pay Social Security and Medicare taxes on your $50,000 salary.
Is this similar to what you are doing? And how do you manage the paperwork to pay yourself? And do you pay yourself after you determine profits or at the beginning of the year? Do you pay yourself biweekly? Of course I will confirm with my tax guy but just curious what yours said. Any input is appreciated.

Hello. I looked into your statement of "maximum approval" for selling in different categories and that is 100% false. You can't go around the requirements needed to gain approval to sell in gated categories as a newer seller no matter what your sale volume is within a given time frame.
You’re statement makes zero
Sense because you mention an indefinite period of time
But also mention “as a newer seller” -
Think what you want I’ve personally seen sellers with 6 months of sales hit max approval and get lots of major brands including Nike. It’s not a universal unlock but I never said it was.

@@ReezyResells I said no matter what time frame, meaning you can sell 5000 units in a month and it doesn’t matter. You can sell 5000 units in a year and it doesn’t matter. The time frame in which you sell x amount of product does not get you “maximum approval” as a newer seller. Newer seller is in reference to one that is not grandfathered in like yourself. I like your videos and I’m a subscriber but this is false information man.

You need approval to sell:
Other Nike branded products in New, Used, Refurbished, Collectible condition(s)
Not "Nike", but "Other Nike" Then they ask for invoice & approval letter. Same thing for toys. I already sell toys on AMZ, but now I can't get approvals for toy brands because now AMZ asks for "Other Toys".
