Hi Dan, thank you for the video! Questions: 1)Does it mean, I need to have a brand name and a logo registered before listing? 2) When the brand name and logo registered then I can put it on the product and packaging?
I know all the process of Amazon Brand Registry, But my pleasure is to see the way you explain it. Thanks for your amazing work Dan. I would like to correct you that EBC is made for seller central and A + for vendor central.
Hi dan, do u need to have a llc to brand registry or you can do as a sole propreitor? And if I now register for a brand does that impact on my upcoming shipping items which is now already shipped?
love your content bro, please do a video in details how do you narrow down product ideas and chose a few to lunch from a long pined list products, nice work on triceps too :)
lol that made me laugh!! Thanks Reza! For sure, in the meantime, did you see the last video? It did touch on narrowing down by: -segmentation/differentiation -barrier to entry -profit margin
Hello Dan, thank you for this video. Good information about Brand registry. Im a subscriber and a newbie as a amazon seller. This is all new plus my product will be produce at the end of this month. It will be listed new for the first time on amazon I still have no listing as yet. Do you think I should wait to see if my product will be successful or it doesn't matter. Should I brand registry my product this early. Please advise. Thank you.
You might not need the full list I gave here in order to apply, they seem to have shortened it for the US. Other markets may require a website and images of the products and/or packaging with the logo present. 🚀
@@sanjeevbeechoo2369 you can use a trademark attorney, use a service like trademarkia/legalzoom or you can actually even file for a trademark yourself on the trademark office's website. For time and increased likelihood of a successful reg, I use a trademark attorney which costs me around $800 total per filing. On the lower end, doing it yourself will probably cost around $275 with the trademark office.
Hi Dan, Thank you for the tutorial baddy. Quick question: My account has just been approved by Amazon seller account, from SA and Amazon sent this to my email. 1) Amazon Brand Registry: 2) Headline Search Ads (HSA): 3) Amazon Stores: 4) Enhanced Brand Content (EBC): is there any link someone can learn about this?
Hi Dan, thanks for the great video bro! Would it be possible to do one on the process of applying your brand registry to your existing listings? I'm in this situation now and I'm struggling to understand the process that AMZ is requiring me to go through, called the "full update" using a flat file, or feed file, which is an enormous spreadsheet. Having trouble understanding why this is necessary since the listings exist and I've been selling for several weeks at this point. -JOD member.
Hello Dan It is very educative video again My question is if I get brand registered in USA, will I be automatically have brand registry in other marketplaces with the same account? Or if not automatically, the process is hard as to start from beginning again? Thank you
Hey Dan! Super informative as always :) You mentioned you'd do a tutorial video on brand analytics particularly on keyword research, is it available yet?
Hi Dan my Brand registration has arrived. When you are filling in form we make up hampers but don't manufacture so will that make a difference ? Thank you
Great videos!!! Love the content and detail!!! Quick question... I am getting ready to launch my first product on Amazon and the logo I am getting made will be the first brand line that will have multiple products listed under it... would this brand be more Amazon store name too or would it be listed under my generic store name as I have other brands in different categories that I plan on adding to my Amazon Sellers account too... I’ve looked everywhere and no one is discussing having multiple brand registrations and store brands under the one seller account... I think you mentioned this was your second or third brand registration, so does that mean you have multiple brands and store fronts under your one sellers account? Hope this isn’t a totally stupid question! Thanks again!
erbu good question! So, if you plan to have 1 account but multiple brands under that account in the short term, then: - Create a generic store name (like XYZ LLC). - Create, trademark and brand register your brand names and enroll the products featuring these names to brand registry.
Hi there. Do I need a professional account on Amazon to have a Merchant Token? Currently, the link to my Merchant Token (under Business Information) is not there. I temporarily switched to Individual Account since I run out of inventory and my listing got hijacked, until I apply for Brand Registry. I have the serial number for my brand name from the USPTO, but I need the Merchant Token to apply for the Brand Registry. I didn't want to re-order before I apply for Brand Registry and wanted to avoid paying the monthly $39.99 fee until my Brand Registry is approved from Amazon. So it's kind of a catch 22. Your advice is greatly appreciated.
Hi, Dan - about having a non-Amazon site listing my products, I am just starting on my first product (sample is on its way to me for evaluation) so do I postpone applying for Brand Registry until I have a product ready to list both on my non-Amazon website and my Amazon seller account? It's almost like the chicken-before-the-egg scenario. Also, does that site need to be a fully-functioning website with an ordering page, cart, etc.? Perhaps you can point me to another video you have posted that covers this topic?
Yet again from Dan, an amazing to the point facts and guidance to complete a task. Big thank you. I would have given up on Amazon FBA months ago. But Dans videos spurred me on. Kathy.
I've taken over the FBA account. The first team registered brands. They don't have the secret key of when registered. Do I need and how do I find if I need?
quick question I'm doing the registration but the first thing they ask is Company name * and Your business title * is the company name is the one that was registered in the trademark ? and is the business title my position within the company?
Hi Dan, I'm having trouble with brand registry. I have a trademark but I still do need to build a website. My only other concern is I have a mailing address different to my home address When setting up account I had to give my home address as it matched bank accounts and utility bills etc but I did not want to register my business at my home address so I've paid for a yearly mailing address which I have also used for my trademark address. I will be adding the mailing address to my website but not my personal home address which is connected to my seller central. Will this mean that because the addresses to not match and they never will match, it's a no go for brand registry? Please help 😁 I would be super grateful 😁
great thanks! if I sell in the US and the UK and manufacture separately, locally, I put in both? also, if my TRademark is in the UK, can I use it for Brand Registry in the US as well? Thanks
Zoltan, cross-market TM use for brand registry is hit and miss, sometimes this does work yes! But I expect they will update it so you need a TM in each market.
Hey Dan I just registered my brand with amazon from canada trademark office and it isnt fully active yet also I didn't put in a website the only thing I put in was the photo of the product that has my logo. Do I get the same benefits as others?
hi Dan ! So basically i can not register as a brand registry , unless i have already been aproved after 9 months .Does it not mean that i have no control over my "brand" product sold on amazon during these 9 months, having big posibilities of being hijacked and will not be able to do anything about that?
Hello Dan, please answer my question. If I have brand registry and trademark of the name of my brand. Can other seller list the exact same product but not mentioning my name brand. Would they get in trouble? I mean if I have no patent design I'd be exposed for this situation, right?
C G yes, trademarks protect brand names or logos while patents protect physical products or features of those products, so they, legally, couldn't copy your brand name but could copy the product design. They would have to sell on their own listing though and so you would probably always be ahead in terms of reviews etc.
Hey Dogs, when you create a listing, Amazon actually owns the listing and they allow others to also sell on that listing. Go look at listings and just below the Buy Box (check out thing) you will see "Have One To Sell?", this is where others could begin the process of also selling via your listing. What can occur is others begin changing the listing. For that reason it's important to stay away from easily copied products and also work toward brand registry. Registry gives you more control and access to programs like the Transparency program which makes it virtually impossible for others to sell on your listing :)
Hey mate, I am trying to get approval to list product I’ve submitted invoices and images as per required by Amazon however they keep on declining. When I asked them question they just send me automated reply, how can I get approval ?
Hi Dan, Thanks for the informations in the Video tho ! I have a question about getting the brand registered ; I am negotiating with some Turkish Companies to sell their products on Amazon USA. Can i get a company's Brand Registered ( which has a trademark but they are not sellers in USA marketplace) to sell their products in my USA seller Account ? And If yes , can i create a Store for these Brands ?
Hi hakan, yes 100%, especially if they have a US trademark but sometimes other trademarks are accepted as long as if they're in an Amazon country. The company may have to grant you rights to use the mark but yes this is often how companies have others run their ecommerce branches
