Main thing i learned about starting it with FBA is that if you want to sell things during the Holidays get your inventory in ASAP. Or it will be at the warehouse for ever

I'm sure he does but you don't label with UPCs you use FNSKUs if you're doing FBA. Which is just a unique label for your items and your items only.
It's easy when your established seller. But for the newbie like me it's about getting ungatted. And that takes time and money on stuff your probably gonna throw out anyway.
I'm chugging along here but what you do is a pipe dream for the new guy.

You gotta fix your mindset. Getting ungated is so easy nowadays. Almost anywhere you buy from works. Buy low cost items. Kohls, Costco, the manufacturer website etc. it used to be so hard to get ungated, you got it easy bro
I can confirm it’s way easier to get ungated now than it was a few years ago. There’s never been a better time to get ungated!
Also we shouldn't compare our experiences, esp in the beginning to such well seasoned/experienced sellers, such as Rezzy. But we can aspire to reach that Ievel and even higher, sooner rather than later. It will take hard work, which I feel will work out in the end
Every new skill you want to obtain will always be tough in the beginning....until you master it. When the going get tough, get tougher! Get harder! Never give up. If you fall, get back up and try again. You may do that a few times. True failure is the moment you give up. You got this! Now go out there and go get it!
What does it mean to be ungated?
Great video as always. Question ! When no one has de buy box Means the product is out of stock or an IP problem ?
Usually it means the prices are too high and amazon supresses the buybox as a result in order to reduce customer dissatisfaction

Reezy, can you do a detail video on how to apply a sales exempt on stores like Ross,Nike, home depot, walmart and such ?
Every store has a different way of doing it. The for sure way to figure it out is to ask for the manager. Most stores do it at the register and you'll get a form to fill out. Sometimes you have to bring the form yourself, which is recommended as it's faster. Generally just notify the cashier before they start ringing you up. Walmart has to be setup at customer service and they give you a card you show the cashier before you checkout. Only some targets allow it, talk to CS. Home Depot is done on their website. It's different for every store but usually a quick google or talk to the manager will get it sorted. Not really worthy of a video

Depends, both have their benefits. I think you're gonna find better deals in store w clearance and stuff you won't see online but online saves you from driving around and you can use a prep center w OA
One of the biggest issues I'm coming across is going to these stores, and most items are gated. Like 90% of the products I scan. Any advice or feedback?
I believe you can contact a wholesaler who sells the products and purchase 10 or more items, then acquire an invoice to ungate some products. I could be wrong but UA-cam some uncaring process videos 🤙🏾
Question: I was inspired by you, I went out and found 3 toys that with ~10$ profit each.
However, once I pay the 7$ FBA fee and ship it, it totally eats up profit.
How critical is FBA for small-time arbitragers?
You can do seller fulfilled (FBM) just fine and actually make a little more per unit sold, it's just more work. Your goal should be to find items w higher sales prices, but also, using the amazon seller app you can tell exactly how much your fees will be when scanning an item

You’d have to get that from the mfg. Hard to do is what I’m told.

Wouldn't it be more profitable buying from the supplier's Ross use? Why buy Retail & pay Retailer profit? Is it volume, storage & carry costs?
Ross is not retail, and in fact retail arbitrage (at least when you purchase clearance)is almost always cheaper prices than wholesale

Business is never perfect but this is a good opportunity. If you're afraid of things it being perfect, then business (of any kind) is not for you. The people who take the (calculated) risks, get the reward

How are you able to scan items there when they cover the skus with their own crazy sticker skus that SA can’t read?

Don't you have to apply to sell these products? How do you get around this? as you need to prove your having the products from a wholesaler, especially when it's well known brands.

I used to sell toys, but Amazon got much stricter with both brand restrictions and child product safety proof, the latter of which is time and money consuming. It's frustrating to have to jump through these hoops, especially if you're an established reseller.

That’s what I wasn’t sure about. I’m new to this and want to buy some stuff to sale but then saw that Amazon restricted brands list. I didn’t want to buy a bunch of stuff then go to list it and have an issue?? So how do you get approval for restricted brands? Is that what people are doing?
@@elizabethmize5194 you'll need to get ungated in the toy category and then specific major brands. Start with categories you'll still be able to sell a lot.

In Canada, there are no sales for a month, stores sell everything at a price like in Amazon or higher
I have heard things are tougher in Canada. I think that's why a lot of Canadians do OA to .com using a prep center
I am also in Canada too. I do think Canada stores are less about having crazy discounts but they do have them however, you can always export items from Canada to the USA. it gives you sale tax advantages. If you do not know how sale tax works here is the homework for you to ask an accountant as I am not an accountant I am not advising you on how tax goes.
@@on9francisyu Thanks for the idea, but I'm not sure yet if it makes sense to export goods from Canada to the US, because the prices in Canada are so high in Canadian dollars that after converting to US dollars they can be even higher than in the US. What about Reese Resells' comment: do you think it would be useful to use US prep centers to work with OA from Canada in american amazon market

I resold Walmart items on the Amazon platform, which triggered an audit and shut down my Amazon account. I was asked to provide invoices or receipts, but it was impossible to issue Walmart receipts and invoices. This was a very bad trap.

I found a list of ASINS that I got auto ungated on. How do I locate these products to buy? Can I look them up on seller amp?

Some did and some didn't. I've been selling on amazon for over 15 years so much was auto ungated through tenure and good metrics

It's funny on youtube they all say RA is still possible... On the amazon seller forum they say it's not. Cause you can get IP violation. and you can get banned for life. Cause they say RA you don't get the authorization from the brand owner to sell it. And something about invoices. cause amazon doesn't accept receipts
This is wrong. The amazon seller forums is not ran by amazon. Amazon is pro reselling and receipts will absolutely work to prove authenticity or newness for your purchasea

No. The Amazon Seller App is a stand alone provided you by Amazon when you are approved as a reseller.
Do you recommend selling items that Amazon itself is already selling?
It's not something I would automatically not sell, but I would be very cautious of buying a large qty of anything that amazon is consistently in stock on. If it's one or two, not a big deal isually
if you are selling against amazon it is fine but you must get an item that is a lot lower in price and you can still make a profit because if you are matching the price of amazon they will win the buybox so you must be lower by 50 cents or something and you also have to be sure you are making money at that price point

@@ondboost764 think about it from Amazons perspective. If you owe Amazon money and you don’t have any money in your bank account, there would be no way for them to get paid. If you have a credit card on file, they can get paid by the credit card company, regardless of if you actually have money.

There would be - $10 after the Amazon fees and shipping
Why don’t you need to deduct Amazon’s delivery fees when calculating profits? After deducting the delivery fee, there is basically no profit.
The app that I was using does that automatically and so the profits I was quoting reflected that already

Im a new seller, does a Costco receipt really get you ungated? I havent tried yet but i’ve heard of people getting rejected using Costco. And will I be ungated in that category forever afterwards?

Yes Costco invoices, from online orders are best. Receipts might work, you would want to paste it into an 8.5 x 11" document and add relevant info. Do not alter the original receipt at all, but point out things, add the ASIN, the url etc. It's never been easier to get ungated in the history of selling on Amazon as it is nowadays. Most of the times ordering form the manufacturers website will get the job done. If you submit and it doesn't get accepted, open a new request for approval and resubmit. Goonies never say die 🏴☠️☠️

How can someone sell a popular brand on Amazon with no permission from the brand, that is a temp flaw on Amazon, that can’t last forever
You gain permission by purchasing 10 units from another reputable dealer or supplier and submitting that invoice for approval

how do you calculate your shipping?
Amazon seller app will help for FBA and for FBM you need to have an idea on how you're gonna send it. You can use the product weight on amazon and round up to nearest LB and then add another Lb to cover packaging weight and use the USPS shipping calculator, or simulate a shipment on pirate ship. But I would keep a spreadsheet of cost for various shipping on your phone

Amazon isn't buying items from you. They're just going for sale on amazons platform, just like if you're selling something on eBay. Either you store yourself and ship it when it sells (fulfilled by merchant) or you ship it to amazon to let them store and ship it when it sells and they charge you for that storage and service (fulfilled by amazon)
The issue now is getting unlocked to sell all those brands.

It's not hard to start but how well it goes will depend on your input and consistency. How much time will you put to it? It's it a get rich quick scheme but it is a very viable business opportunity with almost no barrier to entry
