How would you go about lowering the rear control arms just a half inch or so? Any idea? Do you just drill a new hole or is there a a better way to do it? I want to drop my rear control arm about .5 - 1 inches.
Thanks for viewing...the only way would be with a different coil spring, either got new ones or try cutting a half a spring coil at a time, or go to a coil over shock, with coil over you can go up or down. The coil over shock will replace your present coil springs all together
@@Simmonsracing187 thank you that's a lot of help. That dude acted like that was factory lol. So you're basically saying I can get moog springs and cut a half inch off them, or I can get a ladder link and weld it on. Both will basically accomplish the same thing. Did I summarize that correctly?
There was a small step on the inside of control arm,and the bush will press in, the small step inside the control arm will give you the pressed fit to secure it
@@Simmonsracing187 Yeah I have mine face and in the same direction as yours was but there was like one big gap on the side of the bushing that didn’t have the rubber and the side that had the rubber was like right against the chassis
I came across the same extra poly rings, didn't use them or figure where they went🤷🏽♂️, no instructions at all came with arms...mine were speedwaymotors
excellent job nice new control arms👍
Thanks for viewing 🏁🏁👍🏽
@@Simmonsracing187 no prob👍

@@Simmonsracing187 maybe I'm confused... I've seen a few people just adjust where they were bolted up.

@@ArlowFarrell that would require that you had a 4 link or ladder bar suspension not factory, factory only have 1 set of holes

Simmons hey, u been there from the beginning, here to say wassup!
How you been young man👍🏽👍🏽
@@Simmonsracing187 good, chillin like a villain
How and which direction did you press in the bushings?
There was a small step on the inside of control arm,and the bush will press in, the small step inside the control arm will give you the pressed fit to secure it
We’re these longer or the same length as stock?
Exactly the same length, no modifications needed
I bought these control arms and put them in the same way you did poly facing center and I feel like the bushing if binding and making a noise
My bushings didnt have any grease fittings but I've seen some that does, maybe you can try lubrication, maybe rubbing between bushings and chassis
@@Simmonsracing187 Yeah I have mine face and in the same direction as yours was but there was like one big gap on the side of the bushing that didn’t have the rubber and the side that had the rubber was like right against the chassis
@@richardeddings7259 seems kinda strange that you have any gap, is there a gap between the control arm and differential bracket?
@@Simmonsracing187 did you use those extra pieces that came with the arms the little pieces of poly I couldn’t find out how they went on
