    If your skimmer is spraying like when it's new it will automatically turn off the skimmer? Ty

  • @bomach3281
    @bomach3281 Рік тому

    It was implied, but not stated directly. When the FS status light is illuminated, and no float switch is installed and the FS on off light is not illuminated, the pump should be working normally. Is this correct or does the illuminated FS status light mean trouble, even if no flat switch installed?

    setting up a 300 gal tank with a 120 sump and 50 fuge total volume around 450 and i was thinking of getting the elite 220int or regal 300int. what would you guys recommend?

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV  7 років тому

      Either skimmer will work for your system. The 220int would likely be more consistent especially if you like to skim on the wet side. It is up to you on if you want the basic (regal) or the Elite which offers a nicer collection cup attachment, wedge valve and elegant body. It is really just the features that separate the two skimmer models. Either way I think you would be happy.

    unable to locate your new modified skimmer cup lids mentioned in this video. I have the Classic 152-s model. Is there a modified lid available for it? If so, where can I locate?

      The lids with shut off switch is only for VarioS DC based skimmer models like the Regal or Elite. Classic skimmers like the 152 do not have this feature.

    Hi Carlos!
    Grt product! I have a SRO 2000SSS. Which Varios pump will I require to change the skimmer to DC? Many thanks.

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV  8 років тому

      Unfortunately with the SRO Space Saver models can not be retrofitted with a VarioS pump.

    Can we change the RODC red control for this one using the same pump
    Thanks

      +blish killeen You can swap controllers with the RODC 2500 and 3500 pump. The 5500 would require a controller and a 36V power supply.

    Hello I was trying to set up float switch but there is no float switch bracket in box. Just float switch. Is it not included

      The Varios water pumps do come with a universal float switch holder. We can have one sent out to you. Please submit a ticket at CoralVue.com/Support with your proof of purchase and your shipping information.

    Using a Varios 6-S and pump shuts off and the 15 min and 60 min red leds continually blink. Does this indicate a pump/controller failure?

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV  3 роки тому

      The error you are getting on the controller indicates that something is wrong with the impeller. Either something is lodged or buildup within the pump cavity. It is suggested to take the pump apart and clean it. If the issue continues submit a support ticket at support.coralvue.com

    Can you tell me what the flow rate of a Varios-4 on minimum flow is?

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV  2 роки тому

      The VarioS 4 on power level 1 with zero head pressure delivers ~2800LPH/740gph at 20w. Plumbing and fittings will of course will change that overall flow.

    Hi I have this controller on my pump ... cut a long story short .. my pump isn't working .. the blue lights on the controller are on along with the green fs on/off light and orange fs status light ... the float is in the open position close to the pump ... so all should be well but my pump still won't work ... it also won't work when the fs is turned off and out of the water .. any ideas please

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV  5 років тому

      If the FS Status light illuminates orange that indicates the switch is triggered and the pump should be off when the FS is set to on. Most likely the float is installed upside down. In normal operation the FS would be green with no light in the FS status.

    Hello, could I modify my reed octopus 152 s to have a Varios pump?

    • @CoralVueTV
      @CoralVueTV  6 років тому

      Although it is possible it would require special order parts to modify the pump to fit which would make it a costly upgrade.

    Help, both pause buttons are blinking. it seems like the pump is trying to work just not running. The skimmer is empty and nothing is happening. We hit the power button it immediately starts up then the 15 and 60min lights starts to flash red.

      It sounds like the controller is indicating there is something is wrong with the pump and should be inspected and serviced. Likely something made its way into the impeller. I would suggest removing the impeller and inspecting it for any damage, lodged debris or buildup.

    I bought a tank from someone that has this horrible, horrible pump on it. I made the mistake of unplugging it to re-route the tangle of cables he left after setting it up and the pump would NOT TURN ON!!! It is like there is some 5 minute delay before the pump will turn on once power is applied. Well, because the pump wasn't running, the tank emptied itself into the sump which then overflowed all over my wood floors. Because this horrible pump is connected to a controller and doesn't have a normal power plug, there was no way for me to simply plug it into the wall and make it start working. Horrible horrible horrible. !!!! I am ripping this crap out asap.

      I am sorry for the accident you have but please see that this is a plumbing error and not a pump issue. The Varios like most DC pumps has a soft start mode for the efficiency and life of the pump. The problem is the plumbing. You must make sure that you have a siphon break or a check valve on the return line so the water doesn't back siphon. This is exactly what would happen if you had a power outage.
