Thanks for the tutorial vid. Hoping to visit Fujairah soon in January to implement theory into practice! :) Will it have the sense to use heavy jigs (30-60 grams) to catch bigger fish?
In some areas in Fujairah, where the depth is around 8-15m it is very advisable to use bigger jigs. Recently, in dibba in some deep areas near shore I use 40-60g jigs only, and it works great. Continuous slow play seems to be effective
Good day brother, I was looking for the same bag and knot tightener but could not find. Could you please provide me with the brand and site so I can buy from it. Really appreciate your informative channel 👍
Watching your videos from Lebanon... There's plenty of stuff in the website I would have loved to buy... Yet, shipping options aren't including the country I live in. Fish here are basically all caught in nets (no regulations). Anyways, basically there is only one jetty I can go too and the water is quite Rocky... Snags are very easy to catch especially for a sinking/suspending lures... And I target groupers mostly. Any tips? Suggested lures?
Depends on what you play more, X1 is more versatile, and cobalt is a bit softer at the tip. jighead.ae/rods/1416-favorite-x1-sw-802m.html jighead.ae/rods/1404-favorite-cobalt-sw-scbl-862m.html
Hey there, could you please suggest me which line and reel should I pick for my first rock fishing? The Russian guy "Андрей Питерцов" suggests Biomaster SW 5000 with the line 2.5 - 3. Would it be much better to pick something lighter? Like Biomaster 4000 xg + 2.0 PE line? There is no smaller sea reels available atm and I want to be able to use 300 meters of PE (or 200 is OK?). I have a Shimano exage stc bx 14-40 2.7m rod. THank you very much :) I plan to fish @ Ligurian Sea at the Italy.
I don’t exactly know about the Italian part, but for this areas when you are doing shore fishing I don’t suggest to go more than 2 pe for jigging with max to 45g jigs. And of course u can do lighter. We catch fish on ultralight also. Except if you are really targeting GT in Oman then you need heavy setup. For SW reel, it is now very necessary, only if you are fishing in the rock with big waves or half body in water. Otherwise just wash them after each fishing session with freshwater.
The most complete video I've watched so far about rock fishing...awesome video
