Fuck me are we here already?!? Alright...let's get this shit over with. Seed of Chucky remains my worst theater experience to-date and one of the worst and most ill-conceived movies I've ever seen. Seed of Chucky finds Chucky and Tiffany reunited with their long-lost son (or daughter) Glen (or Glenda) and as the family starts killing those around them, Don Mancini almost killed the franchise. Time to fuck this movie up...

Cody Leach saw this 🎥 once and never saw it again. This 🎥 ,without a doubt, is a complete train wreck. Mancini should be seen strung up for making this piece of shit. Chucky in this one, unlike the first 3 🎥, was a complete pussy

Chucky was a joke in Seed. I hate it when bad writers and directors turned your favorite horror icons into complete dumbasses clowns. Freddy Krueger went from a scary boogeyman into a goofy boogeyman after Dream Warriors,Jason Voorhees went from a scary guy in a hockey mask into a wuss after Part 5 and now Chucky became a lesbian transvestite by possessing Nica as Chucky is now Chuckica. These writers and Directors needs to get their brain examined!

The only explanation I have for Chucky and Tiffany forgetting their quarrel from the last movie is that I see their relationship like the Joker and Harley Quinn.

That works. I mean, they argue often, but they do make a helluva team.
You shouldn’t have to guess that, it should be implicit in the storytelling as with Joker and Quinn. It’s an afterthought.

The comedy in Seed became so embarrassingly corny! The only laugh I remember hearing in the theater was when Glenn was running away from his owner at the freak show, and that was because the puppeteering looked so shitty.
I only really laughed at that too, I maybe laughed at some other parts but it was because of how bad it was. Also I regret watching it with my mum because I didn't expect that weird part to happen when Chucky impregnated that woman 😂

To me, Seed of Chucky looked like a fanfiction or a Mad Libs that was adapted to film, mostly because they kill Britney Spears and tried to possess Redman and Jennifer Tilly. If I were to change the plot, and this is my own opinion and my own ideas, it would be for Glen/Glenda to be this wild little hothead and Chucky teaches him how to kill. Might not be the best idea, but probably better than the plot of the film imo.

Same, although I kind of prefer how they looked in Bride of Chucky.
In Bride, each of them both sported a somewhat darker, "grittier" and dirtier look, whereas in Seed, they look way too "cleaned up", if you know what I mean.
My least favorite of all, BUT I do not hate it, I enjoyed it, it was a change, and they tried it

Really, the only thing I'll give this movie is Chucky's revelation at the end of the movie that becoming human would put an end to the legacy he's made for himself and fully accepts his life as a living doll.

@@thomasmadden3080spoiler alert just in case no one has seen the tv series. to me I think cult in retrospect was a good movie as now it can have different and hopefully good stories going forward. I say this because the tv series has been awesome thus far and I even like the new burnt look he has.
Finally watched this and Bride of on the same evening. I was honestly expecting to hate this one based off of this and other reviews, but I can’t lie, I really had fun with it and probably liked it as much as Bride if I had to score them. Hopefully I am still allowed back to your channel, Mr. Leach.
As I said, it really boils down to what you think of the movie yourself. I call it a crazy guilty pleasure.

"I hated this movie. Hated hated hated hated hated this movie. Hated it. Hated every simpering stupid vacant audience-insulting moment of it. Hated the sensibility that thought anyone would like it. Hated the implied insult to the audience by its belief that anyone would be entertained by it."
This is how I would have written it. In short Jennifer Tilly stays dead. Son of Chucky remains nameless, looks the same as Chucky steals his clothes after killing the detective. Poses as Chucky. Scene set in large police station being child of the dammed has power to resurrect Chucky. The pair seek revenge on couple from last movie. Killing as many in their way. Bringing back the horror aspect of the movie making two dolls more deadly.
I like this film, but it did almost kill the series. I do have some serious problems here too.

Literally never been disappointed by any movie so much in my life. Nor have I ever seen anything go from a high as great as Bride of Chucky to as low as whatever the hell that crap was.

Couldn’t agree more. I hated this movie so much!!! Like you said, Chucky had funny one liners here and there but Chucky is supposed to be scary. This was straight up comedy and an insult to other Chucky movies. Compare Chucky in Child’s Play, then watch Seed and it’s two totally completely different “villains”. I can see ditching the Andy Barclay angle of Chucky to do something different but this was to much.

To me this is a guilty pleasure because despite the fact it's intentionally funny at times, silly, dumb, unscary, and very confusing, it's kinda entertainingly bizarre and it's more of a parody of the first 4 Child's Play movies.

I agree. He should have been more evil than both Chucky and Tiffany instead of being a good guy if you'll pardon the pun. And as much as I like Tiffany as a character Bride should have been the only film she appeared in. She was great in Bride but her fangirling over Jennifer Tilly her real life voice actress and hypocritically telling Chucky not to kill while still killing people herself was annoying. And her appearances in Curse and Cult were glorified cameos. Cult also had those forced "You look like Jennifer Tilly" jokes too.

I absolutely love your channel! Having said that, I know that I am gonna get so much hate for this, but I really enjoyed this film. It cracked me up! I know that it ventured into totally insane territory, and was absolutely ridiculous, but that was definitely part of the fun. How could you possibly not see the absurdity in this entire franchise? As a stand alone film this film works in my opinion. Either way, I know that I am in a minuscule minority, but keep up the good work! I always look forward to your reviews.
The thing that puzzles me the most about this one is giving them a gender challenged kid. It's got to be Don Mancini's sexual orientation that drives that. However, it was the comedy that they tried to do parodying so much shit that fucked this one up for sure. Who the fuck though Redman was a good idea and worst, Jennifer Tilley didn't even pronounce his name right. Of all a sudden it was no longer a horror movie. My worst theater experience however, at least for horror movies, I will never forget was "The Blair Witch Project".

The only thing I'll say about this movie is that it's nostalgic for me, that and Chucky looks cool other than that I really don't care for the movie it's pretty cringey for me.

What are your thoughts on the child’s play tv series and remake? Personally I think a remake is totally unnecessary but a tv show could have the potential to be great.
Instead of building on the momentum of Bride, a breath of fresh air that the franchise needed we get this useless entry. A terrible pathetic mess that essentially shoot the franchise in both kneecaps. It fails to inject any of the clever dark energy that worked in Bride in Chucky.
This was one of my first horror movies I watched as a child so it has a special place with me and I actually like the movie

Honestly, I respect the hell out of this movie for being so audacious and bizarre. That’s kind of what I find most appealing about the franchise in the first place. And while it’s not particularly funny, it’s certainly engaging and, in my opinion, amusing.
I hate this film so much! worst film I ever seen in the cinema just after Deuce Bigelow European Gigolo. It made me so angry. In all honesty, so far giving Don Mancini full control over the franchise has been dragging it down :( And people should realise that Don Mancini is not even the real creator of Chucky as we know it, his original script did not have Charlie Ray and was a generic killer dolls film, rewrites that were not done by him created the Chucky we know and love.
Yeah this is my worst theater experience for sure. I wish Don would let someone else take the reigns for a while.

I guess I'm the only person who laughed during the whole movie. I agree it was the piece of shit of the Chucky franchise, but IMO the comedic tone was decent.
This movie was bad, but there is one part I liked. Chucky saying fuck it and deciding to stay a doll was genuinely funny to me.

Despite being a big Child’s Play fan since the first one, I’ve never been able to bring myself to watch this one- even though I own the boxset. After switching Bride of Chucky off after half an hour, I knew that this could only be worse. The whole Tiffany thing is just too cringeworthy for me, and I don’t get the appeal. And Ronny Yu... agggh! He’s terrible- in it for the paycheck, same with Freddy Vs Jason, which also happens to be one of my least favourites in those 2 franchises. Thanks for your review though, confirms my instincts never to watch this were correct😂 Loved Curse though, and have high hopes for this remake 🤞🏼

That was my first opportunity to experience a Chucky movie on the big screen and boy was I disappointed. To this day, it is still the only movie my friends and I walked out of, I had been waiting for that movie for so long... And it was crushed by how bad it was. It was NOT funny. I have no idea who ever thought this movie was funny, cause it sucks! I didn't even chuckle. I own all the Chucky movies, save this one.
Fun Fact: Seed of Chucky was almost rated NC-17 and Quentin Tarantino was originally going to star in Seed of Chucky.

I don't know what the hell Don Mancini was even thinking doing this crappy movie. Seriously, this was absolutely unwatchable. I hated every minute of it but out up with it because it's part of the franchise. HATED IT!!! Im a fan of Redman but he DID NOT belong in this movie. It was just stupid all around. Surprisingly, I thought this Movie was better than Bride of Chucky, I mean yeah, Bride has some good humor and violence but in the end, it all boils down to giving us another Character, this one is about a family and God knows where they could or can take this Plot,Guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree on this one.
When I was in elementary, I actually loved this one. If I watch it now my opinions will probably change. Its been about 6 years since i watched it. Everything you said about Freddys Dead I 100% agree, I personally remember having fun watching this film.
Sometimes I hate the movie sometimes I love this movie. But I do wish they went a different way with this movie it was very strange. But I absolutely love Glen/Glenda and I wish they would bring them back in the new movies. To explain what happened with the kids because you really can't forget that they have kids!
