I remember my mom hating the "I'm a dog too" part, so me and my brother would start saying "I'm a dog too" all the time to annoy her
That's so funny. Lol
I’m a dog too.
Why would she hate that?

The scene where Beethoven discovered _Dance Dance Revolution_ and make some sick moves on the remix of his own song despite being deaf has no business to go this hard and that still engraved in my mind.
Me too
Beethoven killed it on that thing
Best part ever
I think it’s important to say that this is where the “does the queen have that gyatt” meme came from
Oh yeah I remember that meme
Funny as hell
MAN SHUT YO B-
Get out..
did you catch it?
No… I don’t think it is.
I remember calling Mr Peabody "Mr Pee Pee" as a kid
Yeah I thought I was a comedian
I did too I was so unfunny as a kid
kid humor: (I was unfunny too lol)
Hey, we were all kids once lol
The amount of dopamine I had by looking at your pfp makes up for it though
We’re all so funny, aren’t we?
This movie and the Captain Underpants movie are what define my current sense of humour
captain underpants was my shit back in the day
Same here
Your right bulbasquirtle can you do a video of captain underpants the first epic movie

"I've done worse" might be the only truthful statement by a president since Teddy died.
I swear Penny's dad looks like the president from Sonic lore
He looks like that news reporter from Monsters Vs. Aliens
As a Sonic nerd, I agree
No one must give him the orange game cube
@@Chris_Thorndykeand ironically enough Stephen Colbert played the president in monsters vs aliens
@@MrGabeanator Wow that is a crazy coincidence.
I feel like everybody forgets that Mr Peabody and Sherman takes place in the same world as Rocky and Bullwinkle
Please elaborate, I am intrigued
@@evanschulz9704 The original 60’s cartoons has the two sharing screentime as a segment show. Its kinda like how Two Stupid Dogs also share screentime with Secret Squirrel.
@@rosennacht7624 wow I remember searching it up i didn’t even know that was a thing
Same can be said with George of the Jungle and Dudley-Do-Right.
SAMEEEEEEEEEE BRU as a fan of rocky and bullwinkle and a cartoon fanatic in general SPREAD THE WORD!!!
Pompeii playing in the trailer is literally a core memory for me for some reason like whenever that song plays I just think of this movies trailer and specifically one scene where they’re like on a board or something inside a temple or something and they’re sliding down it
Edit: I literally went back to watch the trailer and find the scene I always think of and it’s actually them falling in the sky inside of a boat as they both grab each other scared

8:05 He is also voiced by Steven Universe. Also I gotta say, one thing I geniunely appreciated in this film WAS the revamp in Mr. Peabody's character. In the original cartoons, he WAS an unbearable, smug asshole treating Sherman as nothing more than an ego boosting slave, which gave us the iconic "Quiet you" in the Simpsons. That works for the format, but I love that here, they made their relationship more of a focus in the sense that he geniunely loves Sherman while still having a flawed personality in his stern, calculated behavior towards everything. The backstory was kept intact, only with a whole new context to Mr. Peabody's personality and relationship with Sherman. Ty Burnell really IS the icing on the cake, having such an excellent voice for him that exudes charm, likability, heart and fun.
I do have one gripe about their relationship in the movie: movie-Sherman never gets Peabody’s jokes. In the show, he always got Peabody’s jokes…and he thought they were awful XD
I _distinctly_ remember this film coming out and watching it in theaters. Genuinely fantastic film and super underrated
Especially the part where Beethoven literally got sturdy in dance dance revolution

The fact that this movie released on my birthday makes this movie all more special to me.

Happy day of birth
14:25 The reason Penny wasn’t there was cause she was still in Ancient Egypt, Sherman says himself the other me is in Egypt, not Troy, so other timeline Sherman was coming to get Peabody to help get Penny back from Egypt
I remember having the mcdonalds toy for this movie. Two hour after getting it it was completely destroyed because i bashed it into the nearest wall. If you couldn't tell, i had massive anger issues as a kid.
I still have both the Mr. Peabody and Sherman bobble heads toys for their promotion.
Pls post a picture of it

As someone who was a fan of the cartoon segments from the rock and Bullwinkle show that this movie was based on, getting to see it get a big screen adaptation like this in theaters was a pretty great time, and It was sad that it didn’t do better than it could at the box office.
Bush popping in and saying "I've done worse" got me lmfao.
And your reaction "Why is he here he's not even dead?!"
That's clinton
0:09 The Madagascar 3 disrespect is insane.
FR! Leave Madagascar 3 alone, M3 HATERS!😡
Don't worry bro, he meant M3 was so good that he could not compare it to the previously mentioned animation masterpieces, it was in a league of it's own
Saying that movie's name right before BOSS BABY, is a damn crime. Especially considering the movie has an actual plot and likeable characters.
Madagascar 3 is 100 percent better than whatever the boss baby was
5:32 "Damn Schaffrillas sounds different"
*scrolls down"
"oh"
sounded the same to me😭 I was like 10 minutes in and then remembered I didn't click on a Schaffrillas video and realized it was someone else (should've realized when the sponsor was factor and not squarespace)
This Movie feels like an extended Doctor Who episode
"TOO BAD YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE YOUR DEPOSIT" is my personal favorite quote it's just so stupid 😭
I remember being incredibly excited for this film as a kid cause I also grew up on some dvds of the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons, with Peabody and Sherman being one of the reoccurring in-betweens for that show, and I felt like I was uniquely seen for actually knowing the characters from this old cartoon. Loved the movie as a kid too. Nice to see it getting some attention
24:58 Not only RDJ originally was casted for Mr. Peabody. Dan Aykroyd, Kelsey Grammer, Tony Hale, Matthew McConaughey, Kevin Pollak, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Geoffrey Rush were considered.
You’re telling me that Ray Stantz, Frasier Crane were also considered for Peabody?
2:11 “the guy who voices the beluga whale in Finding Dory.” You mean Phil Dunphy, right? PHIL DUNPHY! TY BURRELL! I need to rewatch this again!
Can’t forget about Alex Dunphy at 4:24
and also Henry Gardner in Storks and Jack Harris in Duncanville.
And also the French guy from muppets most wanted (I forgot the name)
I did not expect that Smash Bandicoot jumpscare at the start lmao
10/10 addition, made my day lol
Cool thing about the marketing when roblox added the mr. Peabody and Sherman gear the flying machine it actually broke almost every game since it was a solid surface and if I remember it had a seat on it which you can sit on it and you can clip through walls so you can access areas not intended like a vip locked admin room or skip a couple of stages in obbies if you get your friends with the item since it was a solid surface you can stand on one your friend places another then repeat to gain infinite height couple of months later roblox added the options for games to remove some gear including the mr.peabody and Sherman ship sadly and the gear was only obtainable for a month or so and is gone forever
18:16 ok knowing what he has done the "I've done worse" line makes it so much funnier
7:23 Yeah, I remember when Peabody committed first-degree murder.🔪💀
The person who voices Mr Peabody is Ty Burrell who also plays Phil in Modern Family. His daughter in that show is played by Ariel Winter who voices Penny in this movie too
I remember watching this movie for my birthday with my class in elementary school in cinema (I was in the fourth grade and turning 9 in 2014). However, I initially planned on watching The Lego Movie, but sadly that movie's theatrical run had already ended by the time my birthday arrived
“Ancient Egypt” 🔥🔥🔥🔥
i loved this movie as a kid bc i LOVEDDDD history & now my grandma has a cat named mr peabody
4:10 so that's where the Life Sized Helluva Boss Lonna comes in
yeah, sherman's actor also voiced kion in the lion guard
And Harvey Beaks.

You forgot to talk about the Mr. Peabody Sherman show. 😢 But you know what here’s my review, 7 out of 10
don't ask Mr. Peebussy where he was on september 11th, 2001
This also had cartoon on Netflix
At least somebody remembers that show existed
It's a shame that it got removed off from that service last year. Plus, it never gotten a physical DVD or Blu-Ray release. But the whole series is available to purchase from digital platforms.

5:43 gonna be real, my reaction to that deep cut was quite honestly "no fuckin way", because that ride is the best one at disneyland and I will die on that rock
I'm surprised you didn't mention the Netflix series that released after this movie. it was around 2015-2016 I think. I have foggy memories of it but all I could remember is that me and my cousin were obsessed with the show and we'd watch it together every time he came to my house. we were 9 at the time. every episode followed the format of Peabody and Sherman having a show where they'd feature a different historical figure into the modern world. and there was one episode where both Peabody and Sherman travel back into the battle of waterloo.
22:25 I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt this way about Inside Out 2. It’s an amazing movie and the emotion world/visuals are gorgeous, but god the uncannily realistic textures and backgrounds in the real world clash with the cartoonishly proportioned humans and the way they squash and stretch so much, it took me out of the movie a couple times tbh
14:23 oh shit, they used that Wreck-It Ralph render in Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed ft. Team Fortress 2 Pyro, Heavy, and Spy
Rocky and Bullwinkle, the show that Mr. Peabody & Sherman originated from is such an underrated show; the writing and voice acting were top-notch, and it ended up inspiring so many modern cartoons, including The Simpsons and Rocko's Modern Life!
My brothers and I got invested in the show back in 2013, and we were shocked to find that they were making a Peabody movie! This film is so underrated, it's nuts!
I really enjoyed this film when it came out and I still think it’s pretty underrated. I liked the message of how Sherman loves Mr. Peabody regardless if he’s not human because he was a parental figure that genuinely did his best.
@papermr.magolorguy7957. It is a really underrated film and is in my top 10 dreamworks movies
I surprised you didn't mention the "Does the queen have that Gyatt" meme.
4:55 Now that’s a name I’ve never heard I’m forever
“Peabody getting the best head imaginable” is my favourite line in this video
9:04 "UNTIL YOU CLOSE YOUR EYES"
2:54 Mr. Peabody: AHHH! "covered Sherman's eyes" who put that there!?
Sherman: I think I'm into Hellhounds now...
Mr. Peabody: WHAT THE FUC-
This was made back when Mr Peabody was doing too much zoomba
my name is sherman and i keep getting scared everytime he says "sherman" 😭
You forgot to mention the happy meal tie in this film got as well the Netflix series.
7:58 I didn't expect a reference like that, and it's amazing.
I still remember seeing this in theaters
Eh don’t do my boy Madagascar 3 like that man 😡
Buddy, how the fuck can you call Turning Red, Luca, Elemental and Wish hyper realistic? 💀
3:21 “I’m exceedingly poor!” “EEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW!”
2:56 he can’t keep getting away with sneaking hazbinverse into every video
Yeah like i remembered nothing of this film until you recapped it but this film was marketed everywhere back in the day
I remember going to see this in theaters because I remember them from the Rocky and Bullwinkle episodes I had on DVD. The Peabody and Sherman segments were cool to me because it was time travel stuff that was actually somewhat educational (if I remember correctly, I haven't watched any of the original series since I was like 4 or 5). It would be cool if the IP returned to more educational content as this movie really doesn't need a sequel as all of the conflicts seem to be resolved by the end of the film.
This movie was so funny! I loved it as a kid! Can't wait for if this man does a Peanuts Movie review! That was a movie that I was HYPED FOR!
The Thumbnail looks like something i would see from a YTP Lol😂
12:14 is that joe swanson from family guy
Edit: OH SHIT, ITS JOE
7:58 The transformers one reference goes crazy
Are those... miners in the race 🤨🗣⁉️❓
GRAAAHHHH. MINERS‼️
As an only child, this movie actually means a lot to me. It's incredibly well done, on my rewatch I compared it to Puss in Boots 2022 in that it speaks to two audiences: adult and child. A great animated film doesn't "talk down" to its audience, this film is a great example of that.
12:20 WE'RE COMING SHERMANUS!🗣🗡🔥🔥
I adore this movie so much! I remember seeing it opening weekend, and being the only person in the theater who laughed hard at the Oedipus joke. Granted there were a bunch of children in the room, but I couldn't help but laugh out loud at the joke. 🤣
I grew up on classic Rock & Bullwinkle, so I was very familiar with the source material. Dreamworks did an alright job updating it.
Da Vinci totally has the mindset of an rc pilot. You build something, attempt to fly it, and then rejoice once it’s on the ground no matter how many pieces it’s in.
“Im exceedingly poor” EEEWW-
😂😂
The life sized loona bit caught me off guard lmao, you earned a sub.
Seriously a classic in my house man, that movie is absolutely breathtaking and the humor is witty too.
We need a Retrospective of The Mr.Peabody and Sherman Show cause that shit BLOWS THE MOVIE OUT OF THE WATER with the lore 😭
I remember loving this movie as a kid, so I was so excited when I went to my grandparent’s house and they had OG Mr. Peabody and Sherman on their TV. Gave us something fun to bond over!
Fun fact: Mr Peabody and Sherman are characters originally from the Rocky and Bullwinkle show
I only know this because of a Rocky and Bullwinkle pinball machine that I spent almost an hour trying to get top score on.
"Best head", I always read that as so painful that the face becomes frozen in a cring like state.
2:53 comedy gold dude

Never thought id hear the phrase "Turbo Glazzer" but here we are. This is gonna be a good video.
this movie truly has that dog in it
I watched this movie in theaters and Im now old enough to understand the Bill Clinton joke, in a kid's movie...
🤣🤣🤣
Liked the jab at smash bandicoot at the beginning. But yeah this movie definitely was Insane…
WHY DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT THE TV SHOW???? THEIRS A WHOLE ASS TV SHOW AS A SPIN OFF OF THE MOVIE AND NO ONE TALKS ABT IT, IT WAS ON NETFLIX
I love the funny edits you use while still giving a genuine review of the movie.
Don't lie, you've seen a student like Penny somewhere in the past.
I actually had a really good time watching it back when it came out in 2014, so much so that my Dad downloaded it on on a video player device so I can watch it when I wanted to! Such good memories!
This is where the Beethoven virus meme came from
I’ll never forget seeing this movie in theaters. 10/10, no notes
Life-size Helluva Boss Luna™️ is a key part to Sherman’s life, I swear.
5:14, bro turns into jerma's funny voice.
This film released march 7, 2014. I was born march 7, 2011. Therefore, this film is a 10/10 3rd birthday present.
I can say whole heartedly that as someone who watched this movie. I did not forget about my boy Mr. Peabody.
If anybody is wondering where is the Mr Peabody right below the upper left corner is from its the Mr Peabody and Sherman show
I have never seen this movie, but from all the videos I've seen, this is the best one explaining this movie I have never seen... and I love this movie.
"Died? I have a hard time believing that."
No arrogance or denial. Just skepticism. And to me, that's my favorite scene that subtly yet clearly establishes Mr. Peabody as awesome.
