So cool that you are hiking in my neighbouring country! Hope you guys had a great hike! Also, about the red crosses, they are snowmobile route marks! :)
Welcome to sweden! How fun to see you on the trails I've hiked. This will be a great section of videos, for sure. Lovely that you use a Swedish-sounding intro tune, too!
Welcome to Sweden Jay! You picked a great time to do the trail, should be around this time when the mosquitos dissapear 😊 can’t wait to see the following episodes so I can reminisce about the trail!
@@JayWandersOut I went Sobo and we had an early coldsnap, so maybe that helped. Glad it isn’t too bad tho, hope you’ll keep getting good weather and stay safe! :)
Jay, did you two choose to spend a day or so sightseeing before you started at Trailhead, or was that pretty much the most direct path of logistics to get to the start? Besides the flight to Stockholm, it seemed like a crazy amount of travel time to get to Trailhead. Yikes.
It is a crazy amount of time, our country is looong. Take a day of sightseeing in Stockholm, and stay the night at a hotel in Umeå before continueing to Hemavan.
Nobo and almost no regulations like on US long trails. You just can't camp near the fjalstations without paying but just outside the limit therr are always tons of sites. We like to be high up and far away from trail though. In the first half there was water everywhere as well so camping has been easy, as long as you find dry spots.
Super excited to follow you and Tina through Sweden! I’ve been twice but never North. Already is beautiful ⛰️🇸🇪🥾
Looking forward to your journey.
Welcome to Sweden 😊
Gonna be fun!

Marvelous scenery, I live in the southern part of Sweden and unfortunately I haven't found time for Kungsleden yet. Marvelous upload 👏👏

So far mosquitoes have been around but mostly not bad. The knots have been making up for some of it though! Overall, not bad with the bugs.

Nice!😊
I started watching with your AT trip, but I am really impressed with the stylistic and production quality jump from then to now. Beautiful, Jay.
Have fun in one of my most loved country. Looking forward to watch your videos. And Grüße an Tina!
Hey just wanted to say thanks for all the awesome videos you made for us to watch. Had a ? Where did you get your merino wool shemagh.
Looking forward to your new adventure
Great videos! Can I maybe ask what date did you start?
This is going to be a REALLY cool trip!
Sweden has some beautiful mountains, good video with lots of good views, so let's keep on hiking 😊
I have been waiting to see your adventure in Sweden since you announced it. You should hike in Finland too 🙂
So appreciate all your coverage of my homeland here in Alberta & BC. Looking forward to your trip in Sweden and the Arctic Circle. Enjoy!!!!
Alberta and BC are so beautiful I was happy to have had the chance to explore the areas. Sweden so far has been a fun and wild ride.
Heck yeah. I really want to do this someday.
Is that the good old ULA? 🤝
Yep, the same ULA Catalyst I've had since 2016 or so. It's taken me through 800 miles of the PCT and all the Arizona Trail and still going strong.
Shoyld be fun! You ll see IBTAT. Hes going north then south. Yippee

@@ceciliahikes Thanks for your information. Great advice.
Umeå was a great stop for us. There are good outdoors stores that sell gas and Real Turmat freeze dried goods. Those have been sooooo good!
@@JayWandersOut Thanks kindly. For some reason, those meals look good just from the packaging! Haha
So excited for you. Sweden is beautiful.
Are you going NOBO?
Can you comment on regulations of open camping (wild camping) along this trail? Thanks

I guess you don’t have to worry about bears in that area
Nope, so nice! Eat in the tent, sleep with food again. No problem. So far rodents haven't been a problem either.
Do either you or Tina speak some Swedish? Or is English spoken widely and willingly?
I bet you’re going to run into IBTat out there. He’s currently on the trail and is yo-yo-ing it.
What kind of wildlife can you expect on this hike?
Reindeer, lemmings, moose, and if you're super lucky a brown bear but they're rare.
There are wolverines, mountain foxes, lynxes and birds of prey, too.
Looks like a great day in a beautiful place! Hike On Jay & Tina! 🥾🧗♀️🙏🇺🇸🏕️😎
