Hey, it's not just sucking the Sims 4 dry, they're milking us for all they can get by us buying all this digital download crap of theirs which'll disappear if you log off from ur account for a while like I did after not playing Sims 3 for a while back in 2014 moving forward and changing computers.🤨 I recently tried to reinstall Sims 3 on my newest gaming rig computer because I was fed up with this empty shell of a game called Sims 4.😫 Everything seemed ok until I got to the part where you're supposed to put in the Product Code I put in the product code for the Sims 3 Starter Pack, I have the CDs, so then a window pops up saying that the code was invalid, that it has already been used...I go WHAT?! I tried 3 times to enter the code, again and again, the same message pops up. So, it looks like I got ripped off, I bought stuff packs and game extensions to this game which were digital downloads costing upwards to $150+ bucks.😨 I got in touch with EA help and all that and explained the situation, and was told to fill out an account recovery form which I did and gave them all the info, and email addresses I had for my old account that I bought Sims 3 with. They can't find my account...WHAT?! then they send me emails saying I need to send them an email address that's not associated with my EA account. 🤦🏾♀️ What?! All I have is my present email address and no others. 😖 They had said that "IF" they found my account, that they may need to move it to another email account not associated with EA, but they have already stated that they couldn't find my account so why the fubar are they asking me for another email address then? 🤨We went around and around for 5 or 6 emails them sending me a form email with different ppls names on them saying, "Hi, I'm so and so and I'm here to help you with ur case, but you need to send us an email address that's not associated with ur EA account blah blah blah. 😠🤬🤬🤬 I haven't written back. I' so disgusted, all that money wasted. 😠 I guess they actually toss ppls accounts if they've been inactive for a couple of years, that's what it looks like to me anyway. Now all I have to show for my PC purchase of Sims 3 is the Starter Pack with 3 cd's I can never play again and handwritten memos of all the stuff packs and game extensions I bought for it. I'm just glad I bought Sims 3 for the console, at least I can play that when I want to play Sims 3. 😊 Well, it should be called, MOSQUITO stuff pack, but wait, no, the whole fubar Sims 4 franchise is a MOSQUITO for that matter, ok? Just sayin'. 🤔👃🏾😒

that honestly sucks. some simmers here complain about things too but they balance it out with fakes "but i still love it!!!" so ea keeps sending them codes.
From what i saw, its because they added the Game Changers program, which LGR turned down. If you aren't in this program, no free packs. It was offered to him, and i suspect he turned it down, expecting he would have to be a hypr man and wouldn't be able to be negative about the series, and it has worked well for us, knowing Maxis and EA CANNOT buy his opinions at all.

@@River_X2_ I agree tbh The Sims 2 is my 2nd favorite in the franchise because of how chaotic the gameplay is. In addition to the fun animations and just the little details here and there. The base game alone is quite enjoyable! The Sims 3 improved upon tons of features such as decreasing the repetitiveness of having to fill your sims needs for what felt like every second. The open world was a nice addition as well. However, I believe the glitches TS3 came with really ruined the experience for most. The game runs as smooth as butter for me but I encounter game breaking glitches frequently. Despite the flaws TS3 had, I find myself playing it more frequently than TS2. TS3 is my all time favorite. Might be a personal bias though because it was the first Sims game I played. I remember an old buddy giving it to me for my 6th birthday back in 2011. As for TS4 The Sims 4 feels lifeless and dull and the craziness seems to be held back due to the lack of features. It's such a shame how we went from a step in the right direction to square one again. I never played TS1 so I can't give a proper opinion on it. I plan to get it soon though!
@Max William Lauf You can but unfortunately those annoying buggers have learnt to get out of pool even without ladders! You need to build a fence around the pool nowadays.
@@isviewer If you are interested in fashion.... Still not good. If you are interested in "low-quality street art, that is worse than stupid tags at worst place, yet pretending to be high fashion", now that is a different story.
@@isviewer I guess what I meant to say is, I've never even seen a shop with the name of an ad anywhere, and I'm a local. You'd think a brand that makes a collab with an international brand like the Sims would at least be popular enough locally.
This is one of the most simultaneously joyful and depressing reviews you've ever released. I've followed you since the early LGR years and might I say, I love you, semi-platonically.
You know it's bad when even someone with a hobby in photography like Clint can't muster more than a faint "harumph" over a stuff pack that introduces a free-lance photography career. These stuff packs are barely anything more than what fans themselves could mod into the game for free.
Speaking for myself, I hate the rebranding. It seems like the origin lies somewhat in Microsoft changing the UI for Vista and 7 to 8 and onward, ditching the Glass look for the "running Win 2000 in safe mode default color scheme" mode, and now everyone's followed suit. Dammit, give me a UI - or brand, or graphics - with some pop.
Actually, it all started with the iOS 7 launch, a month before Win8 came out. I really like the minimalist style for the OS, apps and just in general. But EA is so greedy that they weren’t willing to hire some one to do a half-decent job with this rebranding and that’s why it looks so shitty imo. And actually, the previous TS4 logo was already pretty minimalistic by itself. It didn’t need to be changed at all. That dark blue color looks like something I, who am not even close to a Designer, would look at and cringe while working at a creation of mine.
@@lactobacillusprobiotic7029 Basically, Ralph is the middle name of The Sims original designer Will Wright who worked for EA up to 2009. LGR created this character and decided to use the name Ralph for it. That's all I know really 😀
The non-functional amps remind me of the useless lemonade in TS3 Outdoor Living lol. I hope we get a game pack focused on bands. I don't like the rebranding but I guess I don't like the current "fad" of logo design either
I don't remember the Diesel one, so I'm assuming it was in sims 3, which I stopped playing after Katy stuff, but I do remember H&M stuff, but I think it's different because H&M has more, well, normal clothing, whereas, this is really clothing you only wear to impress people because some designer says it's the latest fashion. Yeah, not good. Not even on my sims.
I can't wait to see your review of the Realm of Magic game pack! I know you're not big on supernatural and occult stuff (just like I am), but oh man, the livestream made it look very promising and interesting! Honestly, I'm looking forward to hearing your opinion on it more than I'm looking forward to the release of the pack itself!
You would be surprised how much people are willing to spend on random items. The price is $275 because there are lots of folks willing to shell out that type of money. Interestingly those same people would probably scoff at us willing to pay $275 for a CPU or GPU.
The reason why they are priced so high is exactly because they know people like you will make a buzz about it, which leads to free marketing. Every time you see posts "mocking" some crazy expensive ugly torn jeans for 5000 dollars or whatever, they get lots and lots of free promotion. Rich people will still buy it - Either because of exclusivity, because they want to show off their wealth or 1% just likes the designs and have so much disposable income that it's like nothing to them. And doesn't take a lot of sales for it to be profitable if you're selling them for hundreds and hundreds or thousands of dollars a pop.
Hi Clint, there's this new life simulation game called Paralives which is still in the early stage of development but it looks really beautiful, really cool and can be a serious competitor of the sims. You might wanna check it out and spread the news to the people in the community so they support the game developer. It looks really promising.
I didn’t even realise this was a thing, why is this a thing...anyone remember sims 1? I feel sorry for people who don’t, they’ll never remember what value for money is like
I just recently started playing the Sims 4, late to the party I know. But your reviews are very easy to watch, if that makes sense? I just watched almost every review. Keep up the good work and I’ll keep my eye out for new reviews. 👏🏻
I'd like to take this moment to thank you for your ongoing reviews of Sims games. As we seem to have similar tastes and expectations, you have literally saved me a small fortune through the years by letting me know about the product before I buy it. I am a bigger fan of Sims 3 and actually resisted buying the Sims 4, getting it only when they offered it for free back in May... because free is always a good price. In fact, not only do I watch your reviews as they come out (which is why it took me so long to get Sims 4), but I will go back and re-watch each one (sometimes more than once) before buying an addition to the game. I have gotten only a few, and to be honest, of the ones that are left, there are only a couple more that have my interest. Had I never played Sims 3, I may have liked this game a lot more, but I keep comparing the two and Sims 4 just keeps falling flat. Anyway... thanks again for your dedication and hard work. I, for one, certainly appreciate it.
i feel so bad judging because i don't really know what all goes into making these packs, but i used to be so impressed with sims 2 stuff packs. i felt like i was gaining such a variety! honestly, i would want 30 new clothes, 5 new hairstyles, and 15 new decor items.

You are a wordsmith, my dude! Your review was as fun to listen to as it was informative! This is my first video of yours, and suffice to say I'll be back.
It is so entertaining how eloquent and creative your reviews are; EA should keep sending you free packs, because it is so bias how everybody else -who get free packs- review them, just showing the content and praising it. And thank you for spending some cash so I don't have to (: ... I wish I had discovered your videos before buying some of the packages I already own. Thanks for your work!
The only reason I want it is because you don’t need someone to take the picture your sim can take a pic of them self and I don’t have to add a random sim to household
The fact that I can casually listen to LGR's videos on Sims 4 while making homemade Christmas cards shows that the Sims 4 is lackluster. While the Sims 3 LGR reviews I would need to watch and pay attention to. There was no way I could multi-task with the Sims 3 videos...

@@saintdane05 Or the other way around, where a Japanese person wears a t-shirt or a hat with at least one random English word on it.

Have they stopped giving you early access because you're actually honest?
Yes. I think the kids stuff pack with the ball pit was the last one that they gave him a key for.
@@rb7619 love that you highlighted the ball pit...that was terrible!
that honestly sucks. some simmers here complain about things too but they balance it out with fakes "but i still love it!!!" so ea keeps sending them codes.
@@elenamunro5720 EA Game Changers have been bashing the game lately.
I honestly think the only reason they put in the photagraphy stuff was because of how underwhelming the CAS stuff is.
For a fashion pack. They cannot be bothered to make decent CAS items for a sponsored deal. EA is next level lazy 😂
@@TheDarkAngel396 This time it isn't about EA... It is about the sponsor.
Underwhelming and almost completely unusable. The fashion is so ridiculous, you have to set out to make a sim 'quirky' enough to wear it.
To be fair, every stuff pack ads something new to the game play, they could not make one where no new game play is introduced.
The build and buy is cool
IM GOING TO BUY FAKES ON THE CC STORE
I was hoping Mosquito Stuff would have more sting to it.
Zergem your mom has less sting to it.
that's bloody awful!
I don't think LGR cares enough about TS4 to really go in on it anymore. It's just expected that it'll be at best mediocre 😅
Yeah this pack bites
I swear, half the fun of these stuff packs getting released is watching your reviews
I absolutely hate that they locked a new career choice behind a shitty licensed stuff pack. Thank you for making the sacrifice of buying it to review it for us as usual. You're the only Sims related UA-camr I trust to be absolutely real and genuine in their critiques.
I'll keep saying it every damn comment on this husk of a series I want to love, but I DREAM of the day we get a Cities Skylines competitor to the Sims. I want the concept of a life sim with ACTUAL depth and real gameplay to exist damnit.
Clunky Chunky look up Paralives
there is actually a game in development that is called paralives. It has the same concept as the sims but it's probably going to be much better since the creator listens to what people want.
@@illusiongalaxy5112 Thank you for making me aware of this. I'll be keeping a close eye one this one.
What annoys me with this is that they don't give sim players what they want, it's something they hope we learn to like.
what annoys me more is that most sims fans still buy their crap
and then the team bitches about fans being ungrateful when we demand shit that isnt half assed garbage
@@brichoco2628 havent played the sims since the release of Sims 4, i played the vainilla for a while, got bored, went back to sims 3, and got bored then and i never played since lol
Sooo true I had the sims 4 for like 5-7 months! I immediately got it off my computer and now I’m getting the sims 3 for my birthday
@A real bisexual petrol-head As shit as the business practices are at EA I'm pretty sure that wishing death on them is a bit much.
Unironically, I'd prefer a mosquito stuff pack where I could unleash an army of mosquitoes on anyone unfortunate enough to be my neighbor; watching them all fall prey to the Zika epidemic.
That kind of anarchy from early sims games is what I miss! Well, we didn't have mosquitoes, but we could kill our neighbors with flies!
@@River_X2_
I agree tbh
The Sims 2 is my 2nd favorite in the franchise because of how chaotic the gameplay is.
As for TS4
The Sims 4 feels lifeless and dull and the craziness seems to be held back due to the lack of features.
Mrs. L Maybe they’re becoming self aware now. 😅
@@coppercans2091 I loved how sims could get eaten by a cloud of flies if they left the house in a mess too long. And the penguins.

Moschino is kitsch. They've had that reputation for 20 years now.
@@isviewer I guess what I meant to say is, I've never even seen a shop with the name of an ad anywhere, and I'm a local. You'd think a brand that makes a collab with an international brand like the Sims would at least be popular enough locally.

It says that you're geometrically deranged.
@@keithbrown7685 Yeah, probably :)
If you campare this review to his sims 3 fast lane stuff he's for sure more enthusiastic about sims 3
Tbh sims 3 brand packs had much more stuff and more gameplay than whatever packs Sims 4 is spewing out nowadays
of course, who wouldn't be enthusiastic for a stuff pack called Full Farts :D
Exactly why I am looking forward to Paralives...
Thing is, mods have been doing freelance photography better since the freelance patch came out. And I think there was one after Get To Work came out.
Minimalism my ass.
@@brunoglopes I'll take your word on the iOS deal, I don't really follow apple, but yeah, that tracks.
@Bruno Lopes *aghem* Patreon design *aghem-aghem*
I kinda like the redesign, tho. Before it was really flat and boring, but now it has bright colors, nice contrast, and it just looks better, imo.
Finally a UA-camr that isn’t all hype and positive about this pack
Poor Ralph. He has seen some things. Terrible things.
Ashley Andrews Sorry I’m new here but who was Ralph exactly?
@@lactobacillusprobiotic7029 The dude getting burned to death @ 0:46
Ryan Yes I know but who is he really?
@@lactobacillusprobiotic7029 Basically, Ralph is the middle name of The Sims original designer Will Wright who worked for EA up to 2009. LGR created this character and decided to use the name Ralph for it. That's all I know really 😀
Ryan Okay thank you soo much! That makes sense now.
If these packs keep up you're going to have split Ralph's atoms at this point
Is there a Patreon tier that rewards the video of Clint saying "...if you're /high/" ? That would be a better use of money than $450 leggings!
The non-functional amps remind me of the useless lemonade in TS3 Outdoor Living lol. I hope we get a game pack focused on bands. I don't like the rebranding but I guess I don't like the current "fad" of logo design either
I was so waiting for this after seeing the trailer 🙏🏼
I must’ve somehow forgotten about H&M and Diesel, because when I saw this pack all I thought was “oh, god, it’s Katy Perry Sweet Treats Part 2”.
I miss LGR Reviews! He’s Hilarious and honest.
I agree!

Is he okay?? Its not so usual of him :(
275 for a bloody printed t-shirt? I think it's safe to say that whoever came up with there prices has lost it.
You would be surprised how much people are willing to spend on random items. The price is $275 because there are lots of folks willing to shell out that type of money. Interestingly those same people would probably scoff at us willing to pay $275 for a CPU or GPU.
I actually think who came up with their prices is very sane. Who has lost it are the people who buy that shit
"...If you're high." Thank you, Clint, I got a good laugh outta that one.
This is a pack of stuff with “THINGS” in it
I read this pack as "Machismo Stuff." Which would have also been bizarre, but I kinda think all bets have been off since Laundry Day.
One of the best things about these millions of Sims 4 packs are the millions of accompanying LGR videos.
Hi Clint, there's this new life simulation game called Paralives which is still in the early stage of development but it looks really beautiful, really cool and can be a serious competitor of the sims. You might wanna check it out and spread the news to the people in the community so they support the game developer. It looks really promising.
it's about time! we need something for the sims 4 like city skylines was to sim city 2013.
I’ve been waiting for this review. You never disappoint. Thank you.

I’ve gone back to playing the sims 3 now it’s way more entertaining anyway 😂
Thanks for your review, LGR, I was desperate to know how many chairs are in this stuff pack.

Ooo, I've been waiting for this stuff pack review
I just recently started playing the Sims 4, late to the party I know. But your reviews are very easy to watch, if that makes sense? I just watched almost every review. Keep up the good work and I’ll keep my eye out for new reviews. 👏🏻
I don't even play The Sims 4 for over a year or so, but I love watching these videos! :-D
I simply love your reviews! (-; Keep it up!
Haven't played my Sims 4 game in a LONG time. I don't plan on buying any stuff packs, this looks stupid.
I’ve been watching your sims review videos since 2013 and i always watch your reviews before i pick up the sims expansion thank you for all the laughs
Stalking the channel for the Realm of Magic review🤣
"If you really like this designs, you can buy it online... If you're high!"
i feel so bad judging because i don't really know what all goes into making these packs, but i used to be so impressed with sims 2 stuff packs. i felt like i was gaining such a variety! honestly, i would want 30 new clothes, 5 new hairstyles, and 15 new decor items.

Your Sims reviews are always the highlight of my week.
I’ve been waiting for your review. You’re the make or break if I buy a pack or not and I definitely think I might pass on this one. I wish they just added to the photography skill for free if you have Get to Work and added fashion model or something as a job

Sims 3 is still the best though
It is so entertaining how eloquent and creative your reviews are; EA should keep sending you free packs, because it is so bias how everybody else -who get free packs- review them, just showing the content and praising it. And thank you for spending some cash so I don't have to (: ... I wish I had discovered your videos before buying some of the packages I already own. Thanks for your work!
i only want stuff packs so LGR could make more reviews about them
The only reason I want it is because you don’t need someone to take the picture your sim can take a pic of them self and I don’t have to add a random sim to household
Time for realm of magic review now 🙂🙂
Hell yeah, was waiting for you to upload
Gaudy overpriced clothes x Fashion brand
Very on point.
The fact that I can casually listen to LGR's videos on Sims 4 while making homemade Christmas cards shows that the Sims 4 is lackluster. While the Sims 3 LGR reviews I would need to watch and pay attention to. There was no way I could multi-task with the Sims 3 videos...
An unconventional evaluation, but a welcome one
Ah, sims 4 is so enjoyable when you use torrents... anyway, modders make sims enjoyable, not ea, so whatever
After seeing the toilet pics, my twisted mind immediately thought of photographing dead sims in poses like those old 19th & 20th century pictures

I'd love to work at Maxis or Electronic Arts. They get paid to basically do nothing, working as little as possible for maximum effect. I LOVE it!!!
No, no.
Maxis and EA will use you as slave labour to do whatever they tell you to, most of the time.
Valve is where you go to be paid to do nothing.
