Bunk beds, loft beds, and ladders could've made this pack worth. But they gave us one type of "new gameplay" object that is pretty cumbersome to use and takes up a huge chunk of space for a tiny home. Guess we'll be waiting for them to be included in "Bunk Bed Living" or "My First Ladder" stuff pack :/. And an amazing review as always, Clint!
Thisss, their aesthetic is so similar it doesn't even look like they tried to hide it. It would also explain why it doesn't address tiny houses needs at all.
Absolutely, if you look at the new polls coming out for voting out packs, it looks like they are taking the left over art boards and making packs out of them.
The only thing in the pack which isn't comedically lazy and it's because it's awfully implemented in general. I don't know why I got excited seeing Murphy beds, there was no way EA were gonna make a mechanic where you place furniture under it and push them out the way when not needed. It's just a bed that kills you in a 'lol so funny' way. Let's see this DLC remade in Sims 5 when the only item in the whole pack is the bed, and it's permanently folded down and just has a visual hinge under it suggesting it can fold up.
LGR forgot to mention how expensive the Murphy beds are, too. $2000+ Simoleons for… 1 Energy. Wtf. Even after upgrading, that energy/cost isn’t worth it. Better to use real beds in budget houses.
I hope that one day they will release a random pack called "Things you all wanted" and give us all the useful stuff we want with the description saying "That's it, we give up. We can't think of more poorly designed unuseful stuff so we're just going to give you what you want."
plumbella pointed out the fact that a claustrophobic trait would’ve been great here and i haven’t been the same since. ea dropped the ball but are we really surprised?
I feel like this pack was just an excuse for them to add the Murphy bed that everyone wanted in University. Like you said, they could've done so much better with bunk beds, spiral stairs and ladders, they're the things I think of when it comes to tiny living, not Murphy beds.
Neb ladders aren’t coming but I’d kill for bunk beds, I hate when I need a smaller house and the kids have to share a bedroom that has barely any space because the beds are huge
Well I mean, you aren't wrong.. I recognise that it's not treating me well, I leave, then I come back because I think it's changed. Rinse and repeat. I try to stick to Sims 3 but I occasionally play Sims 4 purely for the build mode and nothing else
Sims 3 feels like dating a 90 year old with dementia after having been addicted to Sims 4 Not nearly as expensive or painfully unstable as the younger one, but keeps forgetting that you exist, loves to tell you that the way YOU want to do things is wrong and takes forever to do anything. She gets even more forgetful if you try to mod her brain. (I haven't tried the new 64 bit version of Sims 3 though, is it faster?)
In the Tiny living live stream, they said bunk beds were "too expensive for the budget" which is why they weren't added. 🙄 right... yet modders can make them just fine, not to mention they had them in sims 3. They really missed the opportunity for lofts and ladders and actual compact and sensible beds.
The business model they've had has meant a terrible experience all around for TS4. I haven't bought a pack since the camping one. Everything else has been shallow or dull as dishwater. Really disappointing, as I started out thinking the more closed nature of TS4 would have benefitted it and solved problems previous games had, but they just never got a grip on it. Feels awfully uninspired most of the time, unlike packs in literally every previous Sims title.
I don't know about you but I've yet to see custom content bunk beds that actually have proper animations and don't just have Sims either teleport or glide up to the upper bed. Like it or not, everything you do in game development has a budget. A bloody $10 pack doesn't have a very high one. They simply cannot put more gameplay content (which means anything that either requires new code or new animations) in there than the budget allows them to. And this pack already has a ton of that. The murphy bed, the new tiny home lot type with its entire functionality and the TV/bookcase/stereo combo. That's three gameplay additions of different scales in a pack with the lowest price you ever had to pay for any kind of Sims add-on. At some point you simply have to be realistic and stop thinking about what you didn't get and instead focus on what we did get. Yes, even more animations and coding for the sake of two more gameplay additions in the form of ladders and bunkbeds would simply have been too much for a stuff pack. You may dislike that they chose murphy beds over bunkbeds but that's just how things are. Devs have to make decisions and some people will always disagree with those. None of that means that these people are incompetent, lazy, greedy or in any way mean-spirited.
@@DerLetzteMonarch Or they could have left out the unwanted murphy bed with all its extra animations and put in ladders, bunk beds and loft beds with proper animations (which they could probably have reused large parts of the ladder animations they already have for).
LGR just showed us how Tiny Living was the My First Pet of Eco Living. Everything that he points out is missing here is in Eco Living. COINCIDENCE MUCH?
Apart from bunk beds... 🤪 But seriously, I agree with you. I think the devs get ‘behind’ their schedule and have to take stuff out that they planned. Then they add it in later in a free patch (eg the ladders here).
Sims 4 content is just lazy at this point, they glanced at the aesthetic of tiny houses without understanding any of the actual functionality of them. But I guess it’s a lot to expect value for our money...
@Turquoise Cheetah Same. Cc is free and you get to download what ya want. Aside from the mandatory gameplay items, I haven't used any Original Sims 4 build and buy/CAS objects at all. I wish EA would add substancy over quantity, I would rather have wheelchairs or cars or blanket forts and treehouses or something that actually adds to the gameplay, not a cheap decorative item/ remodeled rehash of a object. 10 dollars? No thank you. Nice attempt. The only problem is updating mods and cc, but I have 38,000 mods so far, and almost all of them still work.
The action of doing tiny builds isn't a new function especially concerning content creators, the Sims team basically just looked at the increasing trend of tiny builds in the Sims community and did a stuff pack with it. Though I wished they put more thought into doing some of the combo items. I mean some of the combo items are just too big to be placed in some of the lots requirements. I like the decor, and enjoy the challenge...but I still wish they put more thought into the items.
I remember a few years ago my friend and I were messing around on the Sims 3 and build tiny houses using all of the stuff that was there from all the packs. Ladders, a loft in the roof part of the house, the bunk beds/the loft beds that could fit a dresser underneath, and even the all in one bathroom from the Island Living expansion. It was so much easier than what this looks like, AND THAT WAS IN THE SIMS 3! Honestly... Sims 4 team are NEVER going to be on the same level as Sims 2 or 3 and they really should just start copying the other games.
Belladonna Poe i don't think they should just copy it, but ts4 had so much potential to outshine the other games and yet here we are. a singular sims 3 expansion had 10x more content than any ts4 game packs or expansion. wish ts4 wasn't just a cash grab :/
At this point I suspect the team working on these packs are almost a skeleton crew left neglected in their own little corner of the office with little to no connection left with the fanbase. Despite preying on the fans' completionist obsessions with having to own every add-on and expansion for this game, Sims 4 still isn't as exploitable as a full blown live service title so I'm sure EA brass care far less for it than their higher profile garbage like FIFA or Madden.
I feel like they're saving bunk beds for a teen stuff pack or game pack. Notice we have a toddler stuff pack, kidsroom stuff pack, and now they're working on an elders stuff pack(community voted pack), only pack left is a teen stuff pack. Each age group has it's own bedding. Its stupid that they even put Murphy beds in this pack but hey EA. Once paralives comes out maybe EA will take the sims community more seriously.
Man I Just realised that I watch your Sims Reviews since 2011. I was 11 back then, now I am 20. So much has changed since then, but your Videos were always a constant in my life lol But seriously I love your content😌☺️
Sad but true but those UA-camrs will rant and rave and their fans will buy it. Game Changers do nothing good for this game all the issues and they cry about things like white shelves instead of the Sims non existent personalities.
True. The most the game changers talk about is EA's bad building and furniture choices. They dont go deeper about the game, and gush over every pack no what it is. They know ea wont take builder and deco criticism personally enough to give them the boot and they ain't trying to loose free opportunities from ea either
I love tiny builds but this pack doesn't address all the challenges that the base game presents. Besides, like you said, it won't even scratch the surface of actual space saving things
Literally every house I've lived in in my life have always had the "microwave on top of wall shelf" like LGR said. It's why I feel very uncomfortable with placing a microwave on a desk.
it's actually possible to do 1x1 room bathroom using all 3 things sink/toilet/shower with moveobjects and frameless shower from university living. but that's the issue, to make this pack worthwhile you HAVE to use moveobjects, there are no in-game items that are designed around small spaces
@@100thschool It's so stupid that they can't come out with a proper 1 tile all-in-one bathroom like they had in The Sims 3 Into the Future, though. LITERALLY they could just recycle the same stepping into the shower animation, and give us an item with functionality. But I guess copying an item from a previous game requires too much creativity and innovation on their part :p
Good news! You can now bend the standard stairs to make them L-shaped or U-shaped. You can even bend the same staircase multiple times in any direction and make custom shapes.
If you use the "polite introduction" on a stranger while having your micro homes lot active, you max out the relationship instantly. And I don't know how I feel about that.
Totally agree with the comments. Pack should have included: -bunk beds -ladders -spiral staircases -pull out sofa beds -ottoman beds with storage beneath bed -compact functional storage solutions i.e. under beds/under stairs etc -half size breakfast bars and smaller stools -compact multi functional kitchen items ie half size hob/build in oven and dual microwave/ under counter fridge Interesting pack but it could have been better
"So the less you do with doing more, the more you're rewarded for doing more with less!" - Really nice line, Clint. Had to pop subtitles on to make sure my ears hadn't scrambled the message. Also, really awesome to be reminded you upload subtitles for your vids. While I doubt YT would have trouble generating subtitles with your clear manner of speech, it's great that you take the time to do so.
And they saved all those great environmentally-friendly ideas you posited for the newe$t pack that came out yesterday. Looking forward to the LGR review before I even consider buying.
I would've loved the ability to own mobile homes or RVs, or be able to live in a van or bus (which has been trending a bit), and they could've added cars as a follow up patch. Trailer parks could be fun too, working like apartments in city living (changing the lot type of certain sized lots to mobile home park, with customization like in this pack), with a more expansive off the grid system that island paradise missed out on. Adding onto this: Townhouses, like apartments but with backyards and such. Dont vibe for the city life of city living, personally, but a string of connected homes rather than having separate lots with neighbors would be nice. Actual grocery stores and supermarkets, malls like the one in Sims Freeplay. Speaking of Sims freeplay, the arcade and carnival and ski resort were fun too. Being able to rent or own a mini apartment above a business... without mods, haha. Cul de Sacs (?), the ability to live rogue (hotels, motels, skipping traintracks because every day is a beautified runaway), multi-generational family homes (having different multiple npc families living like how roommates do in your home... Forrest Gump vibes ♡) and customizable, functional tree houses that act like a mini separate lot for kids/teens to hang out in along with blanket forts (indoor and outdoor) and toddler playhouses would just be as nice too. Actual orphanages, daycares and schools. They have a high school in the Sims freeplay, non rabbit hole, that'd I personally like in Sims 4. As much as I want open worlds, I want customizable world's. 50x50 lots to be downsized at will to, say, smaller 20x20 lots or the ability to remodel the world like in Sims 3. Searching up sims4 fanmade maps, I'd be wonderstricken if we'd actually be able to download and they would work in game. Sigh, I can only hope...
yes I would have loved a trailer park!! and to refurbish campervans, would be so cool. (with objects that are useful too) or even having a new area of small lots where you have to build tiny - and then having many lots to play with. but of course, EA suck at innovation.
@@JesusChrist-qk7uh Yesss! Trailer Park for the win. I have attempted creating (sort of) trailer parks in Sims 2 and 3 with limited success. Could be a new expansion pack. I can see it now: "Get to the Trailer Park" ..in keeping with the "Get to..." theme that seems to prevail in Sims 4. I would buy it though. BTW, yes for the record, I do live in a trailer park. So making n actual trailer park in Sims would be quite appealing to me. :)
@@JesusChrist-qk7uh haha - hillbilly trailer park. omg wish there was rocking chairs!! actually I get excited thinking of the things you could do with a trailer park. Imagine all the Sims getting together - the communal area could have a laundromat, or to make it really challenging, have a showering facility. I so wish Sims4 was open world. I get carried away with ideas. wish there was a location like in the woods where you HAD to live off-the-grid, and you could hunt for your food and relied on water tanks for water. (survival lifestyle) possibilities are endless when you think about it.
LGR: "Why doesn't the Sims team put in-" Sims 4 Devs: "But that's haaaaard :(" Hmmm last time I checked people typically are supposed to put in an EFFORT to make their money- oops, I mean, OUR money.
There's obviously a lot of talent going around in the development team but it seems like they're given limited time/budget to make the packs in the first place so they can't afford to put as much in as they might want to.
@@Gamer208010 Nope, they get from EA all the money they need. All of the ideas are also theirs, no EA influence. EA doesn't care abou the creative process, they just want to have money that they get from it. They would only butt in if suddenly people would stop to waste their money on these shitty DLCs
The Sims 4 has lost its charm long ago, and I can't understand why all these famous simmers on youtube get so excited every time there's a new stupid game pack or stuff pack. I guess it's their job, but they are not believable anymore. LGR is the only one who's always honest in his reviews, even if he just ends up trashing the game.
These famous simmers on UA-cam only hype it to keep getting the packs free/early. Clint used to get them free/early as well, but when he began giving honest reviews about these packs being trashtastic, EA stopped giving him the codes to make them free. You let Deligracy or xUrbanSimsx trash a few packs & watch how fast they stop getting 'freebies.'
The other youtubers are part of what is called "EA Game Changers" which basically means they get all these perks and early access to things if they suck off the their products at launch. Clint has said he was offered a role in the program but he turned it down, I am guessing he saw it for what it is.
@@ameliab3 Come on, it's a totally useless pack. We can build small and cheap houses even without this stupid game pack. They want to sell us a morphy bed for 10 dollars with the excuse of a "new game pack". That's what it is. By now, the only people who speak well of these game packs are the simtubers who get them for free. The Sims 4 has become a joke. How many packs have come out already? In The Sims 2, with 1 expansion pack, you could get more gameplay than what you get with 10 game packs in The Sims 4. It's ridiculous.
Rok Hamler at this point if the Sims 5 didn’t have seasons, pets, and laundry at launch I wouldn’t by it. There are some packs they sold time and time again.
@@MandalorV7 I hope not-Maxis are taking their time learning and polishing the sims 4 mechanics so that when there is a sims 5 they also feature them but with an open world again. (without the dumb sims 4 mood system) I felt sims 3 was an amazing iteration on the sims but was held together with ductape and bubblegum more so than most games. So many unfixed bugs that the community fixed. hell even the performance was improved/fixed with Nraas mods, obviously the developers could have done it themselves.
"Maybe they'll balance it out with a mansion pack later on." So basically, you're rewarded for living tiny or living huge, and punished for being middle class. yep that's realistic
That tv/bookcase/radio was my primary selling point for Tiny Living. I wasn't sure about it until one of the sim gurus mentioned it on Twitter. I honestly think that could be useful even in regular houses. Because I don't like to use money cheats unless I absolutely have to and my sims always have to budget ✌️
It’s so annoying that the Murphy bed can kill you pretty easily. It should be more like 1 in 10,000. Plus each Murphy bed has artwork that you can’t change or remove. Also, ladders, sliding doors, bunk beds and toilet/sink combos would have made way more sense than a Murphy bed. EDIT: someone has made a toilet/sink combo on Mod the Sims! It’s on the first or second page of sims 4 stuff as of writing this comment.
I miss the days of the Sims 2, when disasters and deaths were programmed properly so they only happened occasionally, but happened enough so that you'd experience it at least a few times. Nowadays it seems that the devs make it so that bad things happen constantly or hardly at all. Not sure whether it's a choice or just incompetent programming.
Don’t get me wrong I’ve been a sims fan for so long but the reality is that the creators got really lazy and don’t take the time to add more details like they did in the previous sims games, it’s been so disappointing. Wait til paralives comes out then they’ll have real competition.
It's always like that. Everyone on every new Pack "I love it! Could be my favorite!" and so on and as soon as it is available and you bought it, then their honest! And are like "This is bad, this could have been better." and so on. 🙄
imagine your job being to hype EA's underwhelming game packs and expansions. they're just straight up traitors to sims community since they normalize EA's lack of ideas and bad game design. I loved sims since sims 1 didn't even have expansions but I hope Paralives gets enough funding to kick Sims' ass out of the race. EA sure as hell won't innovate in any way when they can make money this way.
All the cas items were so unnecessary, like i would rather have ladders/spiral staircases and bunkbeds than all this cas and repetitive furniture items
It seems like tiny houses are only cool when they're on a giant beautiful lot out in the country. In the city, they're just dreadfully small apartments. ... but if you have a giant beautiful lot out in the country, why not build a normal size house? I don't get it.
Just FYI, the graphic you’ve used meaning ‘smaller than’ 37m2 is actually the one for ‘greater than’. Smaller than is the other way round (in that context) so
It's one of the reasons why i never used them, That and the time it takes to lift up and pull it down, Don't understand why EA decided to add just a ridiculous thing.
@@Arturlil I never bought the Sims 4 because I felt it was a hot mess and they are beyond greedy. I feel the whole series was messed up. Anyway, I only find out about the game when I watch LGR. I love his reviews even though I don't have the game. It doesn't look like they will do a Sims 5 but if they did I sure hope they go back to the way Sims 3 was done.
@@karinajas I'm with you, I was excited for the S4 wondering what kind of upgrades would it have maybe a bigger city or finally we'll get rid of the rabbit holes but...oh well at least we have LGR
I love everything you suggested...err, ranted about like the loft thing and the spiral stairs, bunk beds (loft beds are good, too), etc. Just waiting for Paralives to become a reality. *sigh*
Got to say, having played it for a bit, this pack is very overpowered. It makes everything VERY easy. Meet someone new? Say hello then take some photos with them and your relationship will literally be full. Want to learn a new skill? The bar will fill up so quickly you’ll be L10 before you know it! Want to grow some plants? They’ll grow and evolve so quickly you’ll have a perfect garden in a couple of seasons! It really reduces the amount of gameplay, as it makes everything so easy to achieve. Not the best.
HerHollyness I got to level 10 painting skill in less than two days in a microhome on a lot with the natural light and artist lot traits, plus the painter aspiration and art lover and creative personality traits. All of a sudden there’s no point in low bills when every painting is worth thousands and takes no time to paint
aaah... this is the review I've been waiting for, and I agree they've missed the opportunity to add spiral ladder and regular ladder for Build Option for this SP to make the purchase worth it I hope they bring it up on their next update
But they had to spend their entire animating budget on that extremely hilarious Murphy Bed animation, they obviously couldn't afford a ladder climbing animation as well!
8:14 This part reminds me of the scene from the Simpsons with Sideshow Bob and the rakes. I imagine a Sim pulling down the beds, getting crushed under each of them and growling indignantly.
Hmm, The Sims pathing, collision, and animation alignment requirements + tiny spaces... What could possibly go wrong? (Is this actually less of an issue in 4 than in prior games though?)
Pathing is the best it's ever been in sims 4 but still stupid bugs and just overall bad AI happen all the time. Musical chairs is unforgivable yet here we are with it in full swing
This exactly, which is why the builds I make are 90% built withOUT the MOO cheat. The only thing I use the MOO cheat for is to place nonfunctional items on shelves or something. What’s the point of a pretty build if it’s not functional?!
The game is kind of hit or miss. From my experience (with either ea builds or the square box houses I make) sims for the most part have no issue with pathing. I do get the weird issues of having sims go up two flights of stairs to wash dishes and only using their bike in their bedroom, but I've had alot of issues with animations. I'd say 40% - 50% of all animations have alignment issues with the interacted object or have sims standing inside a wall/object. Keep in mind this is without the use of move objects or the alt key. If that's better or worse then previous games....maybe?
The pathing is actually really good in The Sims 4. You play The Sims 3 and say you're throwing a party with multiple guests arriving at once at your front double door, they'll stand there and tap their foot waiting while each sim takes their sweet time to walk in. Had this happen yesterday while playing the Daycare career. A bunch of kids came to my sim's daycare along with her two kids and husband. There's eight people in total at the door and each one spends forever walking in and everyone else just WAITS and that house has a backdoor!
Loft beds would make so much sense for this pack. You could put a desk, another bed, a chair, etc underneath. That would save much more space than murphy beds and I'd actually use those
"funniest" shit its how in future packs we see stuff that CLEARLY was supposed to have been added in Tiny Living, like ladders and bunkbeds (that even allow desks underneath)
I think they missed an opportunity for really cool and ingenious furniture. My favourite thing about watching tiny home shows was seeing how people developed furniture to solve space problems, like wall modules that can have tables, couches or beds slide out and slide away. Also lofts, you hit that on the head.
Murphy beds came with the sims 2 apartment life and the crush by Murphy bed animation was rare enough that it was exciting to see! How are they charging you for a whole stuff pack for one new item that was done better 10 years ago
Thank you for mentioning the staircase thing! I've been enjoying the challenge of being tiny houses with this pack, but having to fill up the limited space with a full-sized staircase is beyond frustrating. Ditto for the lack of bunk beds or loft beds with space for a desk underneath. Like so much TS4 stuff, the pack is great in theory, but lacking in execution.
It’s kind of like they didn’t do research for this stuff pack. Like all the things LGR listed that could have been useful in the game aren’t present and it’s like why didn’t y’all look up more than a few ways to make this an ACTUAL tiny house reality? It’s like they saw the ‘tiny house’ wave and jumped on it.
I was cool to see the clip of the chairs with the dog walking through and some of the other clips that were shown in the LGR Blerb video! As always, great review
I love your ideas of items and objects that could’ve been in the pack. It makes way more sense to have all of these! I’ve seen how tiny living irl have used such items. And more objects with storage components! That’s what tiny living is
the murphy bed kinda reminds me of the guinea pig in sims 1, cute but when they bit your sims it will become ill and eventually dies so i avoided getting it lol
I've been obsessing over buying sims packs for a couple months now, but thank god i found this channel, otherwise i'd currently be wasting my money on a bunch of stuff that isn't even high quality. Thank you LGR!
There is an indi game like the sims in the works, its supposed to include pets and all sorts of things from the start. I don't remember what its called, I'm not counting on anything just yet but maybe at least it will inspire EA to try a little harder.
Have you played Rimworld? The way the colonists behave and take care of themselves based on how you configure them + their innate traits would actually make for a good Sims game.
They definitely took it a little too far here though, unless LGR is misrepresenting how often the bloody Murphy beds smack your Sims around. You'd think the Sims would learn to not stand right in the way.
Also, @LGR, what do you think about the survey the sims team are currently doing? They’re asking players what previous packs they think need updating. I personally chose island living (because it’s a crime to call it an expansion pack, there’s no new gameplay whatsoever), University (literally nothing to do, too many rabbit holes), and the dining out pack (excellent pack in theory but too many bugs to be usable). What would you pick for improvement?
when i played the pack for the first time i decorated the smallest apartment in the game with the murphy bed (it was so cute and cozy). my sin never had trouble with it. when her fiancé came over to hangout he died when he tried opening the bed. he just moved in. they had a child. THE CHILD WITNESSED THEIR SOON TO BE STEP FATHER’S DEATH. i’ve never placed a murphy bed since (also i’ve never slept in one irl because the sims 3 haunts me)
I think Murphy Beds would've made _way_ more sense in City Living.
or university
Death by a bed..
MultiSweetheart6 it makes sense for this pack as you got one for a sofa and a bed in one
It came in University in Sims 3
Definitely! What's worse is the concept art for city living had them.

LGR forgot to mention how expensive the Murphy beds are, too. $2000+ Simoleons for… 1 Energy. Wtf. Even after upgrading, that energy/cost isn’t worth it. Better to use real beds in budget houses.
cmon isn’t it fun having more ways to die? sims 4 is too easy. plus dying to murphy beds is a really rare death.

Not nearly as expensive or painfully unstable as the younger one, but keeps forgetting that you exist, loves to tell you that the way YOU want to do things is wrong and takes forever to do anything.
She gets even more forgetful if you try to mod her brain.
(I haven't tried the new 64 bit version of Sims 3 though, is it faster?)
now a toxic ex since i move on with sims 3
EA doesn't pay their employees but says $40 for DLC, what a steal :) they're not getting a cent from me
I don't know about you but I've yet to see custom content bunk beds that actually have proper animations and don't just have Sims either teleport or glide up to the upper bed.
@@DerLetzteMonarch well said
@@DerLetzteMonarch Or they could have left out the unwanted murphy bed with all its extra animations and put in ladders, bunk beds and loft beds with proper animations (which they could probably have reused large parts of the ladder animations they already have for).
Then they add it in later in a free patch (eg the ladders here).
laundry day was originally supposed to be eco lifestyle but they watered it down

Sims 4 content is just lazy at this point, they glanced at the aesthetic of tiny houses without understanding any of the actual functionality of them.
But I guess it’s a lot to expect value for our money...
"At this point"?? XD
@Turquoise Cheetah what is CC?
@Turquoise Cheetah What do you mean by "CC"?
I absolutely expected bunk beds in this pack. They always seems to assemble these packs in odd non-sensible ways IMO! 🤔
or some ladders! Ladders make so much sense in a tiny house. Instead you get a killer bed
@@Nicole-ru9tu not really the style for the knniting stuff looks to modern and hip for it to be for elders idk
and they'll make sure that bunk beds are child/teen only.
Wasn't the game already way too easy? These perks make it even easier now. We shouldn't have to mod every little thing.
As before that useless lot trait appeared I'd just continue to build a tiny house without the easy mode trait.
The only good thing about these packs are your reviews. I prefer getting a good laugh from you over giving EA my money.

Triple Eye - Indie Gaming I’m shocked, shocker. Well not that shocked
This development has made me crestfallen, absolutely destroyed emotionally. EA would never do this!
This pack really proves they’re catering to youtubers instead of customers
Bingo!
I don watch sims UA-camrs and I'm gonna buy this. Waiting for it to drop on console
@@laneadams1303 but.. you're watching one now?
I love tiny builds but this pack doesn't address all the challenges that the base game presents. Besides, like you said, it won't even scratch the surface of actual space saving things
Literally every house I've lived in in my life have always had the "microwave on top of wall shelf" like LGR said. It's why I feel very uncomfortable with placing a microwave on a desk.
Well now I understand the Sims 3 patch note of "the Murphy bed has been made less lethal"
It is baffling how many missed opportunities this pack has. Spiral staircases, bunk beds, ladders... heck why not the all in one bathroom??
it's actually possible to do 1x1 room bathroom using all 3 things sink/toilet/shower with moveobjects and frameless shower from university living. but that's the issue, to make this pack worthwhile you HAVE to use moveobjects, there are no in-game items that are designed around small spaces

So rather than making neighborhoods and lots larger, EA just makes houses smaller.
Adding onto this:
Townhouses, like apartments but with backyards and such.

Hmm, The Sims pathing, collision, and animation alignment requirements + tiny spaces... What could possibly go wrong?
(Is this actually less of an issue in 4 than in prior games though?)
Don't recall any collision and animation alignment issues in 4, but they do just give up on doing anything if the game is taxed enough.
I am excited to see your review on the new Eco Lifestyle!
I agree with you about the loft options! Lofts are a common sight in tiny homes!
Loft beds would make so much sense for this pack. You could put a desk, another bed, a chair, etc underneath. That would save much more space than murphy beds and I'd actually use those
I live in a tiny home!!!! I'm so hip!!! Too bad its an apartment inside an apartment building, and I rented it.
"funniest" shit its how in future packs we see stuff that CLEARLY was supposed to have been added in Tiny Living, like ladders and bunkbeds (that even allow desks underneath)
EA: We need new ideas for the Tiny Living pack
Guy 1: 3x2 murphy beds
Guy2: baby Yoda!
Guy3: ladders, bunk beds or better lofts?

I think they missed an opportunity for really cool and ingenious furniture. My favourite thing about watching tiny home shows was seeing how people developed furniture to solve space problems, like wall modules that can have tables, couches or beds slide out and slide away. Also lofts, you hit that on the head.
Murphy beds came with the sims 2 apartment life and the crush by Murphy bed animation was rare enough that it was exciting to see! How are they charging you for a whole stuff pack for one new item that was done better 10 years ago
This was so much more fun to see after watching the lets play on LGR Blerbs. Please do more of those Clint!
"So the less you do with doing more the more you're rewarded for doing more with less"
Makes sense!
It was great that we got to see a behind the scenes / making of / blerb of this video before it was released.
"I like tiny living" - man is obsessed with giant old computers and has one of the biggest big box pc game collections around..
This game is really shameful with all of it's dlc. I wouldn't have bought the base game if I'd knew it would be this way.
@2:54 The sims 4 livin large, the final expansion pack to the final game. The ironey if that came out and there wasn't a sims 5.
I see this pack as "The Sims 4 Tiny Lifespan Stuff Pack"
I love your ideas of items and objects that could’ve been in the pack. It makes way more sense to have all of these! I’ve seen how tiny living irl have used such items. And more objects with storage components! That’s what tiny living is
your sims pack reviews are so entertaining and brutally honest, love it!
the murphy bed kinda reminds me of the guinea pig in sims 1, cute but when they bit your sims it will become ill and eventually dies so i avoided getting it lol
I've been obsessing over buying sims packs for a couple months now, but thank god i found this channel, otherwise i'd currently be wasting my money on a bunch of stuff that isn't even high quality. Thank you LGR!
I'm still out here waiting for the 'cities skylines' of the sims. I just want a good sims game to play again
There is an indi game like the sims in the works, its supposed to include pets and all sorts of things from the start. I don't remember what its called, I'm not counting on anything just yet but maybe at least it will inspire EA to try a little harder.
@@daisymae3717 Just looked it up, is it called Paralives? I've been hoping for something like this for a while, thanks for sharing :D
@@daisymae3717 It's called Paralives, looks pretty promising.
I hope it will let me watch my big titty anime grils poo
Have you played Rimworld? The way the colonists behave and take care of themselves based on how you configure them + their innate traits would actually make for a good Sims game.
The murphy bed deaths are definitely a Sims in-joke; when they were first introduced in The Sims 2 they also could kill sims who had low body skill.
Realm of magic, university, & definitely dining out
i'd just type "Sims 5 is a good idea isn't it"
Pirahna 01 lol I wish they’d completely fix the game they currently have out THEN go back to sims 5
when i played the pack for the first time i decorated the smallest apartment in the game with the murphy bed (it was so cute and cozy). my sin never had trouble with it. when her fiancé came over to hangout he died when he tried opening the bed. he just moved in. they had a child. THE CHILD WITNESSED THEIR SOON TO BE STEP FATHER’S DEATH.
i’ve never placed a murphy bed since (also i’ve never slept in one irl because the sims 3 haunts me)
Love the Sims reviews as always. Thank you for sharing! I never buy a pack without first watching your unbiased reviews
I can't wait for the Sims 5: Ralph's Revenge.
Still miss Sims 2 and hope they bring back that gameplay and just include basics like pets and seasons..
