Thanks for picking our trailer as #1 Matt! You’re absolutely right, it’s a fantastic floor plan and so easy to live in. Grand Design 390rk. The kitchen, the bathroom, the living room and the storage are all amazing!
About 3 years ago we went to our first RV Show (Peoria, Illinois). The first rig we went into was an Alpine 3801FK and immediately loved the front kitchen floor plan. Our search for the unicorn continues and our timeline points to early 2022. Thanks again for the top 5s and the detailed reviews of individual rigs.
I'm liking the Riverstone Legacy 2021-1/2 model 39 RKFB in the new white wood!! If it'll keep me and my Dachshunds cool in summer and warm in winter here in West Central Texas, I think we'd be very happy in it!!
Thanks, Matt! How would you rate these five compared to the 3" insulated walls and amenities included in the Riverstone Legacy 2021-1/2 Model 39RKFB for full-time living in West Central Texas? I'm concerned about BOTH EXTREME HEAT and NOW -- COLD, as well!
Your reviews were short, sweet, and thorough. GOOD JOB. I loved the #5 pick, Jayco Pinnacle. AWE-and then SOME! I am partial to the mid-kitchen design anyway, because to me, their layouts make them seem larger. But what really brought my attention was the clever bathroom layouts. AND their spaciousness. WOW! The bedroom mirrors were just the icing on the cake. I would like to know if an outdoor grill and tv could be added as an option, if not, no big deal. Still great!
Another Great MattsRVreviews Category MUST do: *Top **_Shortest_** Fulltime 5th Wheels* Tons of couples out there who want to fulltime & also fit into Nat/State Parks. These newlyweds & digital nomads with $$$ _don't_ want 40ft land yachts to tow around. For this demographic, PLEASE focus on *cargo capacity,* fuel & utility capacity. Thanks!
" I'm super excited!" ...".it's absolutely amazing!"......"...awesome" Obviously, Matt is not an English major. The inability to do a professional introduction, brief overview, and straightforward conclusion/review. I appreciate his motivation and excitement, just hard to persevere through the whole discombobulated videos(s).
We do to try hard to do our best while trying to do the most educational type of videos that is also entertaining! Their always a work on progress! Thank you for the comment we getting better every day
I love them all because I love fifth wheels. But my two picks are the first two are the best. You the fifth wheels in the right order of the best. Thank you Matt Wil.
Sorry Matt. Do not agree. The Montana garage is too small to carry two bagger motorcycles or a trike. Would not have a Keystone on the list either. I do agree with the Grand Design, but by not including the Luxe or the Van Leigh as either number 1,2 or 3, I just can’t agree with this top 5. Thanks for doing this though...just goes to show that everyone has an opinion!
The grand design solitude is an awesome layout, but from a professional tractor trailer driver, with the weight past the axles, if the rear end starts going its a real pain to get it back under control.
I agree with your picks. I even believe you pointed out somethings I didn't think about. Now my biggest concern is " WHATS THE PRICES". I'm in the market for one from immediate to 3 months ...but WHATS THE PRICE...?
That Keystone Alpine, so far, is my favorite by far. #3 on your list (I think). Excellent Island with NO Sink! I see why you chose it #1. Me personally, it would be hard to choose between #3 and #1. They Both have one of my favorite floorplans, and have plenty of features to choose from. Great choices. Good job. Thanks.
You need to consider the build of the frame too, Riverstone has that won hands down unless you're getting into the DRV line and up from there. All great rigs here so do your research.
What exactly is the criteria for each category & how did you rank each model 'reviewed' in each of those criteria? Without any sort of analysis we effectively have a few super quick drive-by impressions of 5 very high end 5th wheels. Anyone can do that!
You need to slow down when it comes to certain areas like the bedroom and show how much closet space there is and does it have area for washer and dryer?
I don't know anything that could surpass these top 5! All of them are really nice, although I would say that the Alliance is my "least" favorite because of the way the W/D setup takes up too much of the Closet space. Really great units! Thanks for another really great video!
The New Horizon 48 foot series would do that but those are TRUE high end custom luxury RV's: horizonsrv.com/custom-rvs/majestic/48-majestic-m48rlmp5s/ OR the SpaceCraft custom 5th wheels are also TRU luxury RVs: spacecraftmfg.com/showcase/ the New Horizon and SpaceCraft models are getting into the INSANE TERRITORY of luxury mobile living. If you can afford them, they are your BEST BET for true mansion-class moveable living space! v
Used to like the Pinnacle, then they lowered the Televator counter. Spill a drink or someone on the left stove counter and it will flow down into the TV. Costly repairs. Shower is short will not fit me or Will comfortably. Paradigm 👍👍👍
Have you ever reviewed a KZ Durango or Durango Gold? If you haven’t, could you. We will be buying soon and want the best quality for the money we can get. Also leaning towards Alliance RV’s. Not sure about Keystone products w/out Azdel. Your thoughts when you get a chance. Thanks, my wife & I enjoy your reviews!
Dude that paradigm with the office was an amazing share! That's almost everything I would want or need to do IT work remotely and still roam the country!
I'm a software dev looking for something to pick up and the end of the year and thought the same thing. I just don't know how much I'm willing to spend yet lol
@@guillermogutierrez6336 FWIW, I'm thinking bare miniumum 65K is ROCK BOTTOM for the unit and about 12K for solar to run a small lab in my unit. but honestly if you're looking for something closer to an apartment on wheels be looking to spend around 85K minimum. You might also consider purchasing a used RV certified Tiny home. They seem much more durable and they're infinitely more configurable.
@@danielkemmet2594 Agreed I'm around the 65k mark myself. I like the big rigs but there is allot of parks I want to see and it might be hard to take the big rigs there. I'm looking at the momentum g class and really like what im seeing.
The difference is in the placement of the kitchens. A front kitchen is going to get less shaking and bumping than the kitchen in the rear. The difference is about the same as a 5.0 earth quack and an 8.0 earth quack. A rear kitchen is going to have a really messed up refrigerator, after nearly every trip. No. 3 should have won the No. 1 spot.
@@carrieswanson7893 You may be right - however, A Frig. and a stove with all the dish's and pots can't weigh too much more than a bed frame, mattress, cloths, toilet, shower, and usually, a washer/dryer in the closet. My point is the shaking and bouncing going down the road. The front is more stable. Besides, you need to size the truck to fit the trailer needs.
I wouldn’t have a residential fridge in a rear kitchen floor plan. It will get beat to hell going down the road, and if it needs replaced? Have to remove a slide out to get it out.
This is a pretty good list. But we all have our opinions. While I think these are exceptional campers, none are top 3. Maybe retitle this video as "best full-timing fifth wheels under $100,000". If my wife and I ever go full-timing, it will be in a Luxe, DRV, New Horizon, or Riverstone.
Guys you missed out the Columbus 388 FK has everything that the grand design has and goes one better with a built-in wine cooler dishwasher tankless hot water heater automatic reel 50 amp cord and a bathroom with two entrances and a 60-in shower six slides makes it all happen guys if you don't look at this one you have missing out.
Thanks for the Great Top Five Matt and Will.. Honorable Mention : River Ranch 390RL.. Except for their Bedroom Headboard it's Top Class.. If you didn't pick it because of that hideous Headboard I completely understand 😉😉.. Keep up the great work guys.. 👍🏾
Matt, wouldn't moving the kitchen to the front INCREASE the potential risk of overloading your hitch? Your top choice looks heavy as hell. Would a 6-wheel truck be the only way to haul it? Dodge probably should have left the Viper V10 engine as a special order option for its Ram pickups. When it first came out it put out a crazy 440 lbs/ft of torque rating! Nobody in the late 1990s could come within shouting distance of that. An ex-boss from my old job said his neighbor had one and it woke up the neighborhood when he had to haul anything down the street, LOL...
I thought all Keystone warranties were voided when used for full time living? It says right on their website that all products must be used recreationally. Am I wrong???
Me and My wife are seriously looking into a 5th wheel that can have a separate office space, and a large shower. My work requires a ton of travel so something that can hold up to regular trips is important. Would love to discuss pros and cons to consider
Really wish Grand Design would start offering light wood. Just can’t stomach all the brown.
Grey would be awesome
Check out Riverstone they offer all white interior. In opinion I like the Brown more than White.
It’s so pretty too,
@@x3dominator28 I think Redwood and Cedar Creek have Grey-ish interior options
I would like sea foam green
Thanks for picking our trailer as #1 Matt! You’re absolutely right, it’s a fantastic floor plan and so easy to live in. Grand Design 390rk. The kitchen, the bathroom, the living room and the storage are all amazing!
How long have you had it? Wife and I love these floorplans but we are afraid the rear kitchen won't hold up.
Do u not miss having a dining table or is the bar with two stools enough ?
Does anyone have one that sleeps the MOST amount of people that is around 60,000?
DRV AND LUXE are very nice full time 5th wheels
Great list! That Grand Design Solitude is incredible!

Great job on 5 to 1! Those are all beautiful. I think I like the Jayco Pinnacle the best.
Wow!! Jayco Pinnacle is my favorite definitely!!
I'm really surprised that the Riverstone didn't make the list.
Nice list. I think the Riverstone Legacy 39RBFL is a great floor plan for fulltimers.
I'm liking the Riverstone Legacy 2021-1/2 model 39 RKFB in the new white wood!! If it'll keep me and my Dachshunds cool in summer and warm in winter here in West Central Texas, I think we'd be very happy in it!!

Nice layouts but how is the quality of construction and cabinets. How is the frame made and what are the side walls made of?

I wish more manufacturers would use the televator!
Yea but what happens when it tears up and won’t go up or down or worse gets stuck?
Matt let's be honest here. HOW is Luxe is not on this list?
Not everyone has 280k to spend
I don’t think luxe is worth it’s price and does not have all the amenities it should for the price
I love them all because I love fifth wheels. But my two picks are the first two are the best. You the fifth wheels in the right order of the best. Thank you Matt Wil.

Luxe?
DRV?
Spacecraft?
All 3 also have toy haulers
New Horizons?
