2009 A6 3.0T Avant 196K mi (318k km?) and just basic maintenance. PCV, water pump, thermostat. Replacing upper timing chain tensioners right now. Couple of transmission fluid changes too.

These s5 are a bloody nightmare to work on.Had a admissions amber light on and the engine wouldn’t go past 3.000 rpm.Stripped it down for a carbon clean and one of the ball joints snapped off on the inlet manifold.Repaired that and did the carbon clean.Put it all back together now I have a EPC light on the dash now.When I changed the coil packs noticed oil on two of the coil packs out of the for cylinders so that leads me to believe the value casket needs replacing.Would that cause the EPC to come on.
I have rS3 8p I have done coils / plugs/ new oil cap, plug 3/5 , misfiring on them cylinders with plug 5 wet with fuel , pcv been done on rocker cover, I had bank 1 rich code P0172, first time that as come up since having car for over two years ,
I add a very similar problem with mine and after some one changed the catalytic converter the car was the same in the end turned out it was the spark plugs the last garage add put on the car after I put audi spark plugs on with correct gap the car been fine since

I have a 2010 A6 83k miles and some terrible metal clapping, I will upload a video tonight maybe you can use it as a reference for dead engine (?) I also have the channel 93 at more than 9degrees KW so I will replace the upper tensioners without removing the engine to have a nice bed to start diagnosing. cheers from Costa Rica
@@VAGTechnic thank you for your response! I have inspected the cylinder walls and the top of the pistons with a borescope and the look great, no scratches on the walls or anything. The upper tensioers look fine honestly, I will replace them just because I am already there. How much slack do you have in the upper chains?
I have this exact same problem with a A6 C7.5 US with 26k miles cylinder 6 misfire with a EPC light. I guess the intercooler cores and pcv valve that are in the mail aren't going to solve the problem.... That sucks. Looking at part 2 and I already decatted mine so this will be interesting

I had the exact same problem and fault Codes 3 weeks ago. I finally found that the o-ring from the vacuum pump (one way valve) was worn and sucking in false air, disturbing the vacuum system.
Bruh can I just hire you to get my C7 right? I'm serious....watching you tubers work....I'd rather pay you folks than hit a shop and get robbed....plus I'd love to be hands on I would pay for the guidance
What do you use for carbon cleaning that extensive? I believe the best thing is preventative maintenance. New to the channel. I like the vids and interesting music and editing. Now, just a better camera and lights would boost the vids.

I had the same issues and have done the same repair with pcv, coilpacks and everything. Until I took out the lambda sensor and filmed in there just to see a destroyed a catalytic converters. Nothing in the numbers had me guess the cats

Hello, I have an identical issue with my s4. When I want to pull the car, the EPC lamp turns on and the car don't take any throttle till I restart the car. I already had change the kats to testing pipes, the issue is still there. Maybe someone can help

2014 S5 6mt, 220k km. Aside from basic maintenance, my pcv is the only thing I've had a problem with.

Hi , well if the tensioiner fully failed you will end up taking it out anyways , too much bits inside the engine what will need removing and cleaning

I had one of the same faults on the S5 but the catalyst was clogged. Back pressure 3.5bar
