Probably one of my favorite videos ever, I know someone who is charging people for a video of them assembling this exact engine and I’m so glad you were able to do it for free, big help big love🙏
I disassembled an old pit bike engine a while ago. It was sitting in a box since than. It was no way of ever puting it back together, but here you came, saving my engine with your videos. Nicely done!
i got a question, at 8:18 minutes in, there is a plug that sits above the front sprocket in your video. Do you by chance have any idea what thats called? my sons pit bike is missing that and leaking oil like crazy. i need to order a new one but have no clue what its called
Great video. Thanks for taking the time too make it. Goin too have a watch at some motor. Im good with car enginea, but shit with bike engines. Even tho ive had a road legal monkey for 7 yrs. Think im goin too buy a wee cheapo engine too strip and rebuild

I can move fly wheel with wrench but when I try to kick start it, it feels like it gets really stiff at certain spots. Anyone have any idea for what to do without having to completely disassembled. Amazing video. That’s some complex stuff.
I have an Apollo Rfz 125. When it’s in neutral you can rotate the drive sprocket by hand (chain is off) and it will catch and lock up. If driving it it will make a catching noise more in 1st and 2nd and lock up the chain. Any ideas? My first thought was it was in 2 gears at the same time or something
if your sprocket locks up. is it indeed so that it takes 2 gear at the same time. this is coused bij misalignment of your shift forks/ drum or wear on them. second option is wrong placement of the washers between the gears on your 2 shafts on the gearbox.
WrenchMaster thanks the bike is less than a year old and has never been apart. So I will make sure the shifter linkages are moving correctly before opening the engine up.
Thanks wrench master. I took my timing cover off then I put it back on. Now it leaks oil, before it didn’t. I don’t think there was a gasket on it even before I took it off. Would I need to use rtv to stop the oil leaking
do you need to use a torque wrench to tighten up the 4 nuts that sit on top of the valves & cylinder head or just a normal socket wrench like in your video? some say you need to use a torque some say you don't, what would you guys recommend....

Make sure the keyway is correct installed, if you turn it by hand you should feel the compression. Tight the nut on the flywheel as hard as you can get. You can use impact wrench or block the engine.

Just removing the flywheel and stator plate with 2 screw will do. No need for valve timing or so.
