They need to do a long play study on whether the 3.5 heavy track force of this model does do any more damage then a lighter down force. There is hundreds of threads debating both side.

I have a brand new LP60XBT. The playback is great, but the motor pulley makes a kind of low, grinding sound that can be heard during quiet parts of a song. Any solutions? I notice that when the pulley's rotating and I lightly touch it with my finger it seems to mitigate the noise a great deal.

Hello, is there any way you could possibly adjust the weight of the arm? it seems as it glides over the disc and it skips parts of the songs it plays, is it something I need to adjust or is it the disc itself? any help is appreciated.

    • @eternalnocturne1849

Your not alone, I have that same problem. I recently purchased this turntable to replace my old Ion turntable only to find out that records that play perfectly on my Ion turntable have now have multiple songs with skips when I play them on the Audio-Technica? I was looking for an upgrade because my turntables pretty old and won't last forever but instead I got a downgrade. Luckily my Ion turntable still plays my old lps with no skips.

    • @sal26

I had this "skating" problem. I was using another off brand felt mat that was apparently too thin and offset the angle of the arm. I switched back to the AT brand that came with turntable. Helped but still skips on some records... maybe I need a new stylus.

    • @papans147

You'll notice that you can set the turntable to play records with either 7" or 12" diameter. 7" records are typically played at 45rpm while 12" records are typically played at 33 1/3rpm. There are knobs on the turntable to set it to play either of these.
7" records have a large hole in the middle, different than the 12" records which only have a tiny hole. That plastic circle is a kind of adapter that allows your 7" record to sit comfortably on the platter. Hope this helps!

Note that if you want to turn off the Bluetooth you need to hold down the Bluetooth connection button for at least ten seconds until the little LED light goes out. I don’t want this function, my new deck is connected by a wire to the amplifier. The problem was that the Bluetooth would try and connect to my TV, switch it on and then display weird and disturbing moving patterns. Turning the Bluetooth off solved this. Otherwise I’m very happy with the deck.
