You gave the invaluable information that I critically needed. At my former home my turntable was set on the “phono” setting in the back of the turntable. When I set it up in my new home, incorporating it with my new Sony stereo and 5.1 Dolby system, I was not getting hardly any volume. It was because I needed to set the turntable switch to “Line” setting, due to the RCA input I am now using on the back of the stereo. Now I have LPs playing at full volume. Thanks so much!!!
We were having trouble with some nasty feedback, trouble shooting everything we could. Then my wife (Jasm) just started looking through the comments. Ours was on "phono" as well. Just put it on "line" and presto we are dancing to the music. Thanks for your comment Joseph, it really did the trick. 👍👍👍👍👍
Hi there, I have to say this is one of the best turntables out there, what you didn't mention was pressing the 45 and 331/3 rpm buttons allows it to play records at 78rpm. This is well worth the money! It's just ashame it's fully manual, and doesn't have an auto return, when the record finishes.
@the_hobbyist well, 78rpm records do have a much wider groove, and depending on how they have been cared for is reflected in sound reproduction. Some may sound really worn and hissy but, if you play the groove wall, you'll have a much clearer sound, ( I do this only when copying the record, but don't recommend for every day listening) even spraying the disc with water can improve sound reproduction. With later 78s' the groove is more compact but still require a larger needle ( the turn-over cartridge found on Danette's have a smaller needle for LP,(red) 16 & 33 1/3 rpm and a fatter one for standard play (green) 78 & 45rpm) ..Records made after 1973 tend to have smaller grooves and require a smaller needle (red) and with todays records the grooves are even smaller and much easier to damage, so a light weight Tone arm and stylus is preferred. In answer to your question, a 78 rpm record can damage your stylus, I tend to use a part worn stylus for this turntable, so I use a new one for vinyl and a part worn for 78s , unless you're 78s are mint condition (always mark the one you use for 78s) .. I've never experienced a stylus breaking through playing shellac but I wouldn't say it's not possible. As they rotate at twice the speed, a chip or deep scratch can 'chip' the tip of your stylus and therefore, will seriously damaged your vinyl. So, in conclusion, yes, it's possible 78s can break a stylus, and it's always best to use the right type of needle for all records but for shellac, it doesn't really matter. Tip, always hold a 78 with your middle finger under the spindle hole and the thumb on the edge of the disc. And hold around the edges of the record or use lint free gloves, because the oils from your skin can spoil the laquer finish and make the disc more brittle and encourage dirt and dust to settle in the grooves.
One MAJOR omission on this instructional video!!! I had a similar problem that MANY others have as well, where my Windows10 recognizes the USB turntable, but Audacity doesn't recognize it. You show the switch on the back that is either Phono or Line, but you don't fully explain this switch. If you are trying to record directly to a PC, the switch must be on Line for the system to work. I don’t understand the instructions at 3:20. Doesn’t rotating the entire counterweight assembly until it’s at 2 completely negate when you rotated it to balance the arm? When I follow this step at 3:20, it seems to put my arm back out of balance. Is this supposed to be correct?
Thank you for the great set up tutorial. I had everything right accept for tittle switch at the end of video. I had a bad hum canceling out the sound, then it was quiet after switching to the left and it works.
I just bought this device a few days ago, I'm 100% satisfied with it, I just have 2 questions: 1 why is it recommended that the dust cover should remain opened while playing a record? 2 what function does it have the hole located in the top left side or the arm?
Hi there! Leaving the dust cover open while playing prevents the buildup of low frequencies which can occur within it. This buildup can cause the turntable to resonate, creating feedback and distortion. Leaving the cover open also prevents skipping which can occur when the cover is lowered and raised during play. Thanks! - A-T USA
i am doing it now. i found the arm balance but the number is already zero. so i leave it like that right? looks it has a good balance and is already on zero. so i did not move the number dial as it is zero already then i adjusted the whole thing at 2 and then 2 anti skating. do u think is it ok?
For the price, this turntable is damn good, reliable, and has plenty of upside. The AT-VM95E is outstanding for the price of replacement styli. If you expect the quality of a $1000+ set up, then go buy that instead... duh.
The point of balancing the tone arm is just to ensure that when you set your tracking force it is accurate. It isn't meant to stay in that perfectly balanced state forever - just consider the first step in properly setting tracking force.
I’ve just got this turntable. The sound is great. I like it. The only thing I can’t understand why in the end of a side there’s no automatic tonearm lifting. It was very easy to build. And as I remember every turntable in the past had this
Hi Oleg! Since this turntable is manual, it does not have the automatic tonearm lift. We do offer automatic turntables that have this capability. Thanks! - A-T USA
You are speaking to the choir:-) I love listening to music sometimes at night and it helps me sleep especially Beethoven's Piano Concerto's....won't be able to do this on my LP120..but it's amazing this feature is not available on this turntable. Wonder how much more it would have tacked the price up?
I bought this but it's. Working fine with line in output to my Amp but when I switched the phono output into my Amp phono input I only can hear one side of my speaker tower while the other speaker tower only can hear fuzzy noise why it is so?
I followed the manual instructions and got a distorted sound. I watched this video and followed the instructions step by step. I found the problem - I hadn't switched to phono from line. once I switched over, the sound was perfect to my damaged hearing. Even better when I put my hearing aids in!
hello Audio-Technica USA, Interested in buying a record player for these joyful holidays. As I am browsing through the internet for a record player suggestion, this amazing helpful video popped up. Now I am more than excited to ask for this item as my Christmas present, Christmas. Thanks for the amazing video. - Joey
I have owned the Auto Technica LP 120XUSB for two years now and if I had it to do over again, I would not have purchased it. The plastic cabinet conduct speaker sound, I have a 60 cycle hum which I suspect is from the turntable preamp which is grounded to my amplifier. I'm saving up for a replacement turntable to complement by Yamaha A3200 and Klipsch Fonte IV's.
Can someone help me? I am trying to balance the tone arm but it is either swinging too much up and down to get it to stay still to check if its balanced or its just always dropping down slightly and hitting the needle on the platter. How do i get it to balance? Also everyones videos seem to not have the tone arm swinging much side to side where mine does this constantly when trying to balance it. What am I doing wrong???
Hello there Audio Technica, I just bought one of these yesterday from best buy (limited bronze edition), I'm new to turntables/vinyl, and I was wondering if the needle comes pre aligned? Some youtubers say I have to redo it, an answer would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance ☺️
Hi there! Yes, the cartridges are aligned for the turntable. The alignment process is not difficult to do and if you would like to confirm the alignment, you may find helpful information on doing so here: www.audio-technica.com/en-us/support/audio-solutions-question-of-the-week-how-do-i-align-my-audio-technica-phono-cartridge/ Thanks! - A-T USA
I have a question not covered here. You have to level it by adjusting the feet before anything else. It comes with the feet screwed all the way in making full contact but wondering if backing them all out a bit will help with stopping vibrations. ?
I own this turntable and love it ! Probably the only thing I don’t like , is that the arm doesn’t automatically return after the record finishes playing …. Other then that it’s awesome 👏
Having none of the mechanics inside a turntable for auto return and/or start, makes for a more quiet signal. All turntables need to be as quiet as possible so the cartridge does not pick up any added noise.
I can't seem to find any of this type with automatic return either, I'll buy in a blink of an eye if I find one. I would love to have it on this model. AT take notice ;-)
@Christian Boddum Hi, these are mostly used by DJ's. That's why it's fully manual. Because auto-return arm features would hinder the DJ's ability to swap records quickly.
Hi there! The AT-LP120XUSB has an internal RIAA Phono preamp which allows you to connect the turntable to any LINE level input in a stereo receiver or directly to powered speakers. Thanks - A-T USA
@@russellleahy I ended up buying it, all you need is a set of powered speakers. If you buy a set of speakers that aren't powered (basically if the speakers won't plug into the wall) then you need to buy an amp to power the speakers, but the turntable has a built in PRE amp, so no amp is needed to power the turntable.
The Internetwanderer i see. i’m not very educated in the audio sector, so i’m glad i was able to learn this before i bought one of these and headphones lol

I have just bought this turntable today, actually the grey colour. I will connect it to a DENON STEREO RECEIVER DRA-335-A and a pair of vintage old Pioneer loudspeakers that have a great sound. I still have to buy a good pair of cables to connect the loudspeakers to the amplifier and need a 5 m long cable for each channel. What kind of cable do you suggest me to buy?

can you play the audio directly from yhe usb? I have a adio interface connected to my PC and have studio monitors connected to the interface. I would just like to connect it to my PC to play the audio. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME
I had to change the head shell and cartridge as the replacement styluses are rather expensive, so opted for an AT3600L A T. I'm tracking at 3g and anti skate is set to 1.5 . Is that the right settings please? I noticed towards the centre of the record, when the cue was up the arem floated back to the centre, so I set the skate so the Tone arm stayed in position and not float back. Is this ok? 😬🤔 Thank you.
I have a question. When I hook up the turntable to my laptop and try to digitize a record using Adobe Audition, there is a prominent high-pitched hum at the 1k, 2k, 3k, 4k and 5kHz level marks (and also the 16kHz mark, but that’s barely audible). The noise is easy to remove after recording, but is it possible to eliminate the noise during recording?
Are there specific bluetooth speakers you recommend with this turntable? I just bought this turntable and a Marshall ACTON III bluetooth speaker for my son as a Christmas present. Overall I'm pretty happy with the sound, except the volume isn't as loud as I'd hoped it would be. It seems that I can get more volume out of that speaker playing songs on my phone as compared to the turntable. I called BestBuy and they suggested flipping the switch on the back of the turntable to 'phono,' which had the effect of muting the sound completely. Perhaps I'll just have to get him speakers with cables, but any suggestions to get more volume using bluetooth is appreciated. Thank you!
working. i just would like to be sure to have correctly done the set up and arm balance etc. now my old Gerrard a more than 30 years old semi automatic Gerrard is still functional but this is a present from my wife. Being an oold rock metal punk head (but appreciates all good music to reggae soul dark electro etc) but not that much of an audiophile. cannot really say if the sound with the new turntable or the bew cartdrige is so much better than before (also depends on the speakers I guess here too I use 2 old JVC from my wife when she was young but not that much money to spend and during Covid times even less) U just really want to be sure that I have found the arm balance in the correct way (as mentioned below when I found it the number dial was by chance already on zero so I did not turn it anymore) then I set 2 as you suggest and snti skating at 2. just to be sure that set up is good for the cartdrige and the vinyl so they last in time as it lasted (and still works my old super old semi autimatic Gerrard a friend gave to me). thanks for helping me out!
What is the make and model of the device shown at 5:27 for the AUX in example? It looks like an FM/AM/internet radio, but I'm not sure why that would have an OSD out.
Hi there! The AT-LP120XUSB is a fully manual turntable, so the tonearm does not automatically lift at the end of records, nor does it play on repeat. - A-T USA
plus this other set up states that weight should be the recommended 1.0 to 2.2 grams...........but here u say 2 and anti skating at 2. i ll try but gives give me a feed back on that. My main point is that I found a good balance when the counterweight was on zero already so I did not turn the number dial to zero anymore as it was already. and as you mentions here anti skating at 2. do you think is it theoretically ok? then i move to the practical part of trying it out bit i do not want to damage nor the cartridge nor the vinyl. cheers
Hi there! Please follow the following steps: Set the tracking force once the tone arm is floating. When the tone arm is floating, you will then turn the calibrations dial only to zero, then you add the correct weight and anti-skid value. Thanks! - A-T USA
I have a question. My turntable is level, I balanced the tonearm and set the tracking force to 2. When the anti skating is set to 0 my tonearm works fine. I can drop it into the grooves and the tonearm doesn't sway at all. When I move the anti skating to lets say 2 where it should be, the arm sways. At 0 it's fine. Should I just leave it a 0?
Hi there! Antiskate is outward pressure placed on the tone arm to offset the centripetal force of the stylus in the groove of a spinning LP, which will pull the tonearm inward. When the antiskate is properly set and the tone arm is hovering it will always return to the tone arm rest. That is normal behavior. Thanks! - A-T USA
I'm thinking of buying this variant, but the price isn't listed on the website. My local retailer mentioned that it would only place an order if the official website (US version) indicated its availability.
@@AudioTechnicaUSA Hey, Thanks for the response. The website only shows the price for AT-LP120XBT-USB. Does that mean this is only available ? Also I can't find the "Add to cart" Tab
Hi Leo! Yes, you can. Setting the preamp selector switch located on the rear of the turntable to the PHONO position bypasses the built in phono stage. Thanks! - A-T USA
In the thumbnail the cartridge that is on the head shell he’s holding, how can I get the cartridge like that on a headshell? I’ve seen it on the site but there’s not screw holes on it
When levelling the turntable, is it best to level the plinth or the platter? When I try to level it, I get a different reading when the level tool is on the platter than when I place it on the plinth. Does AT have a specific technique that is recommended for the ATLP120XUSB?
Just got this exact turntable. Set it up per instruction and used this video for reference. I also had a pro DJ friend help me set it up, level it properly, balance tonearm just right, etc. Everything works properly and sounds great. But after my DJ friend left, I noticed a smell of burning plastic coming from under the platter/plinth. I figured the smell is just because it's new. I've never owned a brand spanking new record player! But it's been a week and still smells like burning plastic when in use. It doesn't smell when not in use. It's not close to any sources of heat. I have it isolated on a table. Any idea, why it smells like burning plastic only when it is playing a record? I checked the balance of the tonearm and it is not too heavy nor too light. I smelled a record immediately after playing it to see if the smell was coming from the friction of the needle on the record. But I smelled nothing. Everything I play on it sounds amazing. I'm just concerned about the burning smell. I always close the lid of any record player I use to help isolate it and to keep dust off. Could it be because I close the dust cover/lid when in use?🤷🏾♂️ Please help?🙏🏽✌🏾
Question about routing: I have my PC connected to a Focusrite Scarlett Solo connected to two Yamaha HS7 speakers using their XLR primary input, which leaves their secondary 6,35mm Jack input free. How can I connect the turntable to the speakers? They don't have a RCA input, do I have to buy separate RCA-to-6,35mmJack cables?
I'm guessing that there are two options: - Using a x2 RCA to x1 6,35mm Jack and plugging it in the audio interface line input - Using a x2 RCA to x2 6,35mm Jack and plugging it in directly into the speakers Can anyone help me out? Thanks
@@mattje27 Hi there! You may use a pair of RCA to 6.3mm TS adapters to connect the audio output from the turntable to the 6.3mm inputs of your audio interface. Thanks! - A-T USA
Hello there, I have a question, I just bought one of these but I am having some trouble. So first i plugged it into a stereo and sounded ok, but since the speakers are a little old I decided to upgrade, So I bought a preamp (Behringer Microphono PP400), I connected to via RCA with ground and set the turntable on Phono. Then I connected the preamp to my monitor (Yamaha HS5) with a balanced cable (TRS to XLR) and the instruments sound great but the voice is lower, I do not understand why.
I am interested in this turntable solely for it's USB functionality. I want to sample records at high sample rates (196khz.) Is it possible to do this with the LP-120xusb? Thanks.
Hi there! The highest sample rate that the AT-LP120XUSB will output is 48kHz. If a higher sample rate is required, you will need to purchase an A/D converter. Thanks! - A-T USA
I'm struggling trying to set this up, no matter who much I try it isn't working right, I think it's an issue with the counterweight no matter what it stays at the same angle and I have no idea what I am doing wrong.
Also have this table and wanted to add/point out: i had to get a different headshell when i mounted my MC cartridge because the stock one wasnt long enough to allow proper overhang (a used Air-Tight PC-1). I needed about another 2mm. So just a heads up that some higher end MC cartridges might need this swap. Also, i ended up bypassing all the internal boards and installing better RCA jacks at the rear and wiring the tonearm wires direct. It made a huge improvement. Not a necessary mod for everyone but in my system it really opened things up. Wished there was adjustment for Azimuth and VTA but for the price, i guess we get what we get ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Been enjoying it since.
Just bought one of these and used this video to set it up. This unit is actually nicer and more featured than some higher-end turntables I've seen. I'm quite pleased with it so far.

I owned this tt for al almost 3 years and and its perfect sounding direct drive machine .
I totally love it.
Very easy setup thank you,I can now play my old heavy metal Lp's !
Me too, I loved it the first note. Old vinyl Slowhand is happy again.
I must say my new ATLP120 USB turntable is nice and I'm very happy with it.
I just want to say REALLY BIG THANK YOU for this video
Thank you for the great set up tutorial. I had everything right accept for tittle switch at the end of video. I had a bad hum canceling out the sound, then it was quiet after switching to the left and it works.
Just snaged one today 175 bucks of fun and it's perfect ! Woop
Great video Thank you @
I just bought this device a few days ago, I'm 100% satisfied with it, I just have 2 questions: 1 why is it recommended that the dust cover should remain opened while playing a record? 2 what function does it have the hole located in the top left side or the arm?
Hi there! Leaving the dust cover open while playing prevents the buildup of low frequencies which can occur within it. This buildup can cause the turntable to resonate, creating feedback and distortion. Leaving the cover open also prevents skipping which can occur when the cover is lowered and raised during play. Thanks! - A-T USA
Fantastic turntable , thanks audio technica ✊🔥

What a video!!!! Helped me so much…
This video is so relaxing
really a very very good service video. I'm imperessed.
Just set up mine. What a great turntable!!! Value for money.
i am doing it now. i found the arm balance but the number is already zero. so i leave it like that right? looks it has a good balance and is already on zero. so i did not move the number dial as it is zero already then i adjusted the whole thing at 2 and then 2 anti skating. do u think is it ok?
For the price, this turntable is damn good, reliable, and has plenty of upside. The AT-VM95E is outstanding for the price of replacement styli. If you expect the quality of a $1000+ set up, then go buy that instead... duh.
Do you own one ?
Extremely helpful video and great record player, especially for the price
When adjusting the tracking force wouldn't it change the previous balance of the tone arm you did turning the knob the same way?
The point of balancing the tone arm is just to ensure that when you set your tracking force it is accurate. It isn't meant to stay in that perfectly balanced state forever - just consider the first step in properly setting tracking force.
That was easy! Thanks I had mine setup in about 10 minutes.
Thanks! - A-T USA
Audio-Technica USA Thanks for the answer. I really enjoy my new turntable!
You are speaking to the choir:-) I love listening to music sometimes at night and it helps me sleep especially Beethoven's Piano Concerto's....won't be able to do this on my LP120..but it's amazing this feature is not available on this turntable. Wonder how much more it would have tacked the price up?
Great ..Turntable AT LP 120 USB ,lovely💕👍
I bought this but it's. Working fine with line in output to my Amp but when I switched the phono output into my Amp phono input I only can hear one side of my speaker tower while the other speaker tower only can hear fuzzy noise why it is so?
I followed the manual instructions and got a distorted sound. I watched this video and followed the instructions step by step. I found the problem - I hadn't switched to phono from line. once I switched over, the sound was perfect to my damaged hearing. Even better when I put my hearing aids in!
absolutely brilliant video...thank you
hello Audio-Technica USA,
Interested in buying a record player for these joyful holidays. As I am browsing through the internet for a record player suggestion, this amazing helpful video popped up. Now I am more than excited to ask for this item as my Christmas present, Christmas. Thanks for the amazing video. - Joey
This is just what i needed!! Thank you so much
Easy, straight up turtorial, thanks
I have owned the Auto Technica LP 120XUSB for two years now and if I had it to do over again, I would not have purchased it. The plastic cabinet conduct speaker sound, I have a 60 cycle hum which I suspect is from the turntable preamp which is grounded to my amplifier. I'm saving up for a replacement turntable to complement by Yamaha A3200 and Klipsch Fonte IV's.
Move your speakers away from the turntable.
Why, why on earth do you state to balance the whole turntable, AFTER relieving the tonearm? It should be done BEFORE :)

The alignment process is not difficult to do and if you would like to confirm the alignment, you may find helpful information on doing so here:
www.audio-technica.com/en-us/support/audio-solutions-question-of-the-week-how-do-i-align-my-audio-technica-phono-cartridge/
Thanks! - A-T USA
I have a question not covered here. You have to level it by adjusting the feet before anything else. It comes with the feet screwed all the way in making full contact but wondering if backing them all out a bit will help with stopping vibrations. ?
Hi there! Yes, that is correct. Thanks! - A-T USA
I own this turntable and love it ! Probably the only thing I don’t like , is that the arm doesn’t automatically return after the record finishes playing …. Other then that it’s awesome 👏
Yeaa thats manual for u. I wish it went back too
Having none of the mechanics inside a turntable for auto return and/or start, makes for a more quiet signal. All turntables need to be as quiet as possible so the cartridge does not pick up any added noise.
I can't seem to find any of this type with automatic return either, I'll buy in a blink of an eye if I find one. I would love to have it on this model. AT take notice ;-)
My parents old ‘radiogram’ had a 4 record stacker and automatic return, also pumped out some sound.
@Christian Boddum Hi, these are mostly used by DJ's. That's why it's fully manual. Because auto-return arm features would hinder the DJ's ability to swap records quickly.
Looks like a decent piece of equipment. The only thing I do not like is that the tonearm does not return back to rest after the record is over.
at a moment, just going to local store to purchase one! ☺
Im new to turntables, do I have to buy a amp for this? Or can I just hook up a pair of speakers and be good to go?
Hi there! The AT-LP120XUSB has an internal RIAA Phono preamp which allows you to connect the turntable to any LINE level input in a stereo receiver or directly to powered speakers. Thanks - A-T USA
You've gotta put an amp or receiver to it or powered speakers.
So what is it preamp or not
@@russellleahy I ended up buying it, all you need is a set of powered speakers. If you buy a set of speakers that aren't powered (basically if the speakers won't plug into the wall) then you need to buy an amp to power the speakers, but the turntable has a built in PRE amp, so no amp is needed to power the turntable.
I own two technics 1200’s and just ordered one of these to replace one which needs repair work will see how this compares to the legendary 1200

The Internetwanderer bro.... there’s headphones with usb inputs
The Internetwanderer idk, there’s still a lot of high quality professional headphones that use a usb input, i’m assuming that would work
The Internetwanderer i see. i’m not very educated in the audio sector, so i’m glad i was able to learn this before i bought one of these and headphones lol
Very helpful, thank you (Steve, UK)
We just got this device and is awesome. My only question is, is it possible to change the tonearm to auto cut off when the record finishes. Thank you
Hi there, Unfortunately, that is not possible. Thanks! - A-T USA
Any reasoning behind removing the feature to play records backwards?
Hi there! The reverse playback option is on the AT-LP140XP and the AT-LP1240USBXP, thank you. - A-T USA
Probably because records aren't meant to be played backwards. It can permanently damage the record and/or the stylus cantilever.
Its not plug and play kids like CDs. This is how music should be played. Respect
They dont listen CDs either now

I had to change the head shell and cartridge as the replacement styluses are rather expensive, so opted for an AT3600L A T. I'm tracking at 3g and anti skate is set to 1.5 . Is that the right settings please? I noticed towards the centre of the record, when the cue was up the arem floated back to the centre, so I set the skate so the Tone arm stayed in position and not float back. Is this ok? 😬🤔 Thank you.
Hi there! It is best to set the anti-skate to the same speed as your tracking force. Thanks! - A-T USA
@@AudioTechnicaUSA Hi there, Thank you for your reply and helpful advice 😊👍

Super confused if I balance the arm and then do the tracking force isn't the arm thing to be unbalanced again?
It needs to be unbalanced but in the right way so you have a certain weight on the cartridge for it being able to track the grooves on your vinyl

What is the skate and tracking force for the Audio-Technica AT-VMN95SP?
Hi Jan! It is 1.8 to 2.2, with 2 being the standard. Thanks! - A-T USA
Great turntable at a great price!
❤❤❤🎵🎶🎵🎶
Does the arm on these lift back when a record is finished?..and can it play on repeat ?..
My main point is that I found a good balance when the counterweight was on zero already so I did not turn the number dial to zero anymore as it was already. and as you mentions here anti skating at 2. do you think is it theoretically ok? then i move to the practical part of trying it out bit i do not want to damage nor the cartridge nor the vinyl. cheers
Unless I'm missung something, doesn't setting the tracking force undo what you just did to balance the tone arm?
Hi there! Please follow the following steps: Set the tracking force once the tone arm is floating. When the tone arm is floating, you will then turn the calibrations dial only to zero, then you add the correct weight and anti-skid value. Thanks! - A-T USA
Do you have to have a speaker or amp for this because I just finished setting my new one up and the volume is VERY low and I can’t find a volume dial
Hi there! Yes, you need to have a speaker or amp, as the AT-LP120XUSB does not have a built-in speaker. Thanks! - A-T USA
I have a question. My turntable is level, I balanced the tonearm and set
the tracking force to 2. When the anti skating is set to 0 my tonearm
works fine. I can drop it into the grooves and the tonearm doesn't sway
at all. When I move the anti skating to lets say 2 where it should be,
the arm sways.

When levelling the turntable, is it best to level the plinth or the platter? When I try to level it, I get a different reading when the level tool is on the platter than when I place it on the plinth. Does AT have a specific technique that is recommended for the ATLP120XUSB?

Why should the dust cover be off while records are playing?

Question about routing:
I have my PC connected to a Focusrite Scarlett Solo connected to two Yamaha HS7 speakers using their XLR primary input, which leaves their secondary 6,35mm Jack input free. How can I connect the turntable to the speakers? They don't have a RCA input, do I have to buy separate RCA-to-6,35mmJack cables?
I'm guessing that there are two options:
- Using a x2 RCA to x1 6,35mm Jack and plugging it in the audio interface line input
- Using a x2 RCA to x2 6,35mm Jack and plugging it in directly into the speakers
Can anyone help me out?
Just got one, nice
Thanks! - A-T USA
Very very nice procedure.
assembling Wonderful Turntable💕👍,
I'm struggling trying to set this up, no matter who much I try it isn't working right, I think it's an issue with the counterweight no matter what it stays at the same angle and I have no idea what I am doing wrong.
how i reset it ?, its because the ath don’t recognize my speaker when it was already pair but the thing is that i reset the speaker
Confused about why you have to balance it horizontally. It won't go down if it's balanced perfectly... What do I do?
