      I've purchased your tutorial on how to make brushes, since I don't have much time due to my full time job Im in need of help to get the right tools, do you think this set is great for concept art overall or I didn't chose the right one?

    I’m completely new to drawing and I just got the app today on my iPad. What steps could i take to become better besides taking a class. Any suggestions or shortcuts to get me better faster?

      no shortcuts man, gotta get on the grind. If you want something to guide you look up sing and watch his videos about fundamentals, the one with thumbnails that look like blueprints.

    드디어 단점 찾았다. (작업 단점 아님 ^^)
    물론 니콜라이는 마스터이지만, 프로크리에이트 하나로 작업을 완성하긴 매우 어렵다.
    예로, 저 바이킹의 방패는 일러스트에서 가져와야 맞다. (효율적 / 일러스트의 존재 이유)
    하여튼 아이패드는 사이즈 매우 줄인 프로용을 일반인에게 파는 것이므로 사이즈 커지지 않는 이상 계속 외면받을 것

    • @uazney1593
      @uazney1593 5 років тому

      Thomas Yo 일러스트에서 가져와야 맞다라는 말이 일러스트에서 작업하면 훨씬 편하게 그릴 수 있다는 말이죠?

    • @Mustela001
      @Mustela001 5 років тому

      @@uazney1593 네. (저것보다 훨씬 빨라요.) /
      니콜라이가 저 방패 그릴 때 그렇다는 건데 일반적 작업환경에서도 일러스트는 유용합니다.
      근데 니콜라이 그림 작업 보면, 왠만한 건 프로크리에이트에서 다 되네요.
      (아이패드 사이즈가 작아서 문제이지)
      아이패드 프로그램이 현재 마땅치 않고
      현재 프로들의 데스크탑 환경과 같아져야 하는데 현실은 머네요.
      애플은 다시 어도비와 친해질 필요가 있고, (앞으로 그렇다고 하지만) 너무 느려요.
      요새 애플은 살 게 없어요. (프로들 입장에서)
      니콜라이 작업 보면, 프로크리에이트에서 모든 작업이 가능할 것 같지만
      그건 툴에 거의 통달한 작업자가 그런 거지 실제로 따라하기 힘들어요. (스타일이 달라서)
      물론 저런 스타일에 도달하기 위해선 가공할 만한 내공 없이 불가능합니다.
      그리고 마지막으로 니콜라이가 실제 밥벌이용 (마무리) 작업할 때
      아이패드를 사용할 가능성은 매우 적어요. 왜냐? 너무 작은 아이패드에선 섬세한 작업이 안 되니까!
      2019. 현재 크기의 아이패드에서는 컨셉 (아트웍) 잡는 용도에 맞지, 마무리 작업은 부족하고, 안 맞습니다.
      최소한 24인치는 돼야 마무리작업에 문제가 없는데 24인치 아이패드면 사겠지만, 그 아래면 안 삽니다!

      하긴 그렇겠네요ㅜ
      12.9면 a4 수준인데 프로들 작업공간으론...
      니콜라이가 올리는 영상들도 교육이나
      프로크리에이트 홍보용 작업이 많아서 실제로
      사용할지는 의문이긴 하네요
      그나마 아이패드용 포토샵 제공한다고 말했으니 차차
      나아지지 않을까 생각되긴 합니다

    Did you use reference? If so on what screen do you use reference

    • @nikolailockertsen
      @nikolailockertsen  Рік тому

      Im not sure I used ref on this one. But when I do use ref, I usually split screen on the ipad and keep the ref on the left side.

      @saltytree729 Рік тому +1

      @@nikolailockertsen even with an 11 inch iPad Pro? That’s insane that you have the space to be able to work like that. Don’t you feel the screens to small when you split? I have an 11 pro 2019 model and it feels like my screen is swamped when I split haha and I lose track when I zoom in. I’m so used to paper and trying to get used to digital I am buying all your courses asap. On another video I asked how did you learn did you use books or college? Did you practise a lot every day? I also listened to your London video did you just study every day when you commuted in Norway?

      @@saltytree729 Thank you. I got the 12.9 imch, but have gotten used to having ref one the left side. But you dont need the ref all the time, but nice in the beginning of the sketch. I did not go to college. Mainly self-tought, but I did have some tutorials and youtube videos that gave some good input.

      @@nikolailockertsen I’ve bought your course I love it but still struggling to learn how you do it, you just like know. Do you have any other reference tutorials of what you learned from like what tutorials? I’m struggling with the layering of brush strokes to make it look good like you do I sort of just end up colouring on top of each other ugh 😂
