@@Love-One-Another: You're starting from the wrong premise. The "New Testament" is NOT scripture that was given to mankind by God, and blasphemously preaches AGAINST what God said to us at Mt. Sinai. Also, the NT was written in Greek, not the holy language of God, which is Hebrew, so you can't compare the Greek NT to God's holy words in the Tanach (Hebrew scriptures - Torah, Prophets and Writings, i.e. Psalms, Proverbs, etc.).

Here's a question. Isn't the whole worship of a god-man basically pagan and idolatrous? Everywhere I look in the Bible, God condemns idolatry, Even in their own Christian testament, it warns against those who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, baruch hu le olam va'ed. (See Romans 1:25) The more their religion became a state church, the less connected they were from Jewish and Hebrew roots. Judaism always said the Messiah would be the son of David. But they said the Messiah was "Christ." and who was his father? Not David, but God. Miracle. Bart Ehrman says the church lies. Life comes down to free will. You either believe or you don't. But once death comes, your free will days are over. Then you get to see how it really is.

Second, do you really think that believing is just an act of the "will" - in other words you could "will" yourself to believe something was true even if you knew it was not, or even if you could not demonstrate it to be true? @@Nai61a All of us get to choose what we want to believe. You can choose to believe that the earth is 4.5 billion years old and that we evolved. without a God. You can choose that Allah is the true God. You can choose to believe that Jesus was the Messiah and died for your sins to bring you to God. You can choose that Zeus or Shiva or other gods exist. Everything you do in life is a choice. You can choose what Starbucks coffee you like. That's your free will. As you grow up in life, you hear one of the hundreds of stories about how we all came to be and one of them fits your liking, or way of thinking. Most people stick with what they believe from childhood, but there are also many examples of people going from one belief to another later in their lifetime. Yes I believe you make that choice. You are master of your own decision destiny. Otherwise you end up being a Calvinist where everything that happens is not your choice, but only because your God pre-programmed, or pre-destined you. @@seanc2788 This is what I feared. I think you should give this some more thought. I do not, for a moment, think you really CHOOSE your beliefs. For example, could you CHOOSE to believe that the Holocaust never happened, or that Ghandi never existed or that our planet is flat? I think you could choose to PRESENT yourself as somebody who believed those things, as if you were playing a role, but I do not think you could seriously believe them. The reason you could not seriously believe these - and many other - things, is that the evidence against preposterous beliefs like these is overwhelming.
It is all about good, credible evidence.
As to "free" will and Starbucks coffee, you don't even "choose" what you like, do you? You have tested the options and THEN made a choice. It is not FREE, it is based on evidence and previous experimentation. You know which one you prefer. You cannot choose to like the one you actually detest, unless you are being dishonest and/or perverse.
So, to come to the real point, if you have CHOSEN to believe that the New Testament is telling you the truth, and you are making that choice in the same way that you might CHOOSE to believe Earth is flat, it may be time to re-evaluate how you make your choices and test your beliefs.

But wait, you told me that you don't believe for a moment, that I can really choose my beliefs, in your opening paragraph. But then at the end you just told me to re-evaluate how I make my choices and test my beliefs. Did you actually just grant me free will to change my mind? Why? I'm so confused. Were you coherent when you wrote all this? It's a circular reference. I'll see you in the next life and we can compare notes (or maybe not).

Can someone link me to a video to where he gives examples of prophecy that Jesus has not fulfilled? The only one I heard in this video was about end times and those haven’t happened.

I’m not part of any official religious group anymore, but I agree 100% on disproving Christianity. In science, scientific studies cannot prove of a theory but only strengthen the current theory. Therefore, we can assume that Jesus was an important man or an Angel because I believe those are the only two types of beings that “adoni” is used for.
Secondly, “the LORD” is THE NAME.
Thirdly, The NAME is one (Deuteronomy)
Fourthly, there is none besides Him (Deuteronomy 4:35, Deuteronomy Deuteronomy 4:39, Isaiah 43:10, Isaiah 45:5-6, All of Isaiah 45)
If the NAME is one and the NAME was talking to a lord (Psalm 110:1), it’s obvious that the “lord” HE is talking to isn’t HIM.
Then we scroll down the psalms and see “lord” is also a priest. Logic tells us that HE would not be His own priest and sacrifice to Himself!
This is just one of many ways of disproving the trinity.

That's a false question. Moses is the ultimate and supreme prophet for all time, as Deuteronomy 34:10 states: "And there was no other prophet who arose in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face." Therefore, Isaiah speaking or not speaking about Jesus doesn't refute Judaism.

Maybe a nitpick, but the NT doesn't often use the clear language of Hell. It uses the language of death. The "wages of sin" are "death," not Hell, as distinct from "eternal life." Hell is an eternal life of torment / suffering / punishment, as understood by Christians. Most of the NT text is saying, from a straightforward reading, that not believing in / accepting Jesus leads to just being dead & gone, over, as opposed to the" eternal life" you can earn by believing in him. I've always wondered how all the death talk is reconciled with a belief in an eternal torment in Hell.

As a Catholic I think that Christians should stop claiming that the Messiah of the Torah is Jesus. It just drives Jews crazy for no reason. Christians should say “we re-interpret the Old Testament as-if it was a prophecy about Jesus”. Doing so they would keep believing what they believe (Jesus = Messiah = “God”) without disturbing other religions.
But the essence of Christianity is that the messiah of the torah IS Jesus. I'm afraid that as a Christian, that's what you're lumbered with.

@@paulawallace8784 The whole narrative of the Old Testament is how Israel was falling short of God's standard. God would send them prophets but then they still wouldn't listen to His commandments. They would be punished for their sins and the cycle would repeat. In Isaiah 53 clearly someone is suffering for the sins of Israel. I don't care how much you can copy and paste. You're being lied to. The whole OT Israel is suffering because of their own sins. Suddenly in the messianic era they will achieve some state of perfection that would qualify them to suffer for the sins of the world? Isaiah 53 doesn't make sense unless someone PERFECT is suffering on behalf of Israel.

What G-d we are talking about if not the One True Adonai because there is no other. And Whose Messiah are we discussing if not His? So here’s a question: how did the nations of the world learn about Adonai Eloheynu if not through His True and Humble Servant’s teaching? Was it through Rambam or Rashi? Or through Yeshua after all?
Literally through whom and whose teaching did the entire world learn about One True God? And if he is not THE Messiah then who is he if he affected the entire world in such a way? And if he is not THE Messiah who did affect the entire world in such way then why Tanakh doesn’t predict him.

There are answers for every one of Singers' arguements that he is either ignoring or he doesn't know. I'm not a scholar, however I can provide some information to him.
- example: Moses said that one greater than he would come from among them and that him they must listen to.
- Yeshua warned that among his followers there would arise wolves who would use their position for selfish purposes (I.e. Roman Church, etc.)
The remnant of believers are those who hear his instructions and obey. If you look at the teachings of scriptures you will find that it doesn't condone killing of Jews, or spilling of innocent blood. This means that those who do these things aren't justified.
Singer is not understanding that people who build churches and who claim to be Christians may not be.
