Just found your channel today. I enjoy your videos very much. No BS, just straight talk and How To's. I'm just getting into these vehicles and I hope to see more of your suggestions. Keep up the good work.
Got these. Low beams (dipped in UK) were faulty and just randomly turned on and off when they were supposed to be steady on. Halo and High beam were fine. Can’t wait 2 weeks for delivery for replacement. Shame - looked good when they worked.
I have 2016 Jeep wrangler in Canada. I installed as above. Once I shift to drive and release the park, DRL is on( both low and high beam are on ) 😂I got a lot flash from oncoming vehicles. So I have to drive low beam during daytime.
Great job on this video!!! Really love the tape trick for the aligning the lights! A lot of people forget to mark the original lights before removing them!!!
looks great. your high beam demo really helped me make the decision. so many cheap headlights have great low beams but almost no high beams. Thanks a lot.
Saw this video on Tuesday, ordered, and got them today. Lights look and work fantastic. Was able to fuse tap into a fuse for the DRLs as well. Thanks for the video and review!
My lights just arrived and I want to fuse tap the DRL’s in the fuse box. Which fuse position did you place the tap. Photos or specific location is greatly appreciated so I don’t short anything out, thx!
Nice wiring breakdown. Thanks. Putting these in my humvee build and couldn't figure out what the red wire did. Rest all checks per the bench test! thanks
Hello men, these headlights fits to my classic mini 7' inches headlights? Also do you know the headlights name to search them for Europe - Greece? thanks.
Ty for this vid. Bought and installed successfully !! One of the best upgrades I have done in a while. De stock lights are so bad, wow. I see the road now =D Since I live in Belgium I have an European JK (2012 rubicon) and the DRL wiring was even easier. The stock light had a mini light bulb plugged in the man light dome as DRL. Connected to red one with the positive end and everything works as stock. Realy happy with the result Thumbs up!
Just got a new to me JK Willys edition and definitely need to upgrade those headlights and that would be great if I won a set of these. Enjoyed the review!!
I got these lights for my 2016 JK. When I remove the OEM lights I can’t get the LED lights to fit into the bucket. I line up the notches that hold the housing but they don’t want to go all the way in. Yes, the lights are for the 16 JK. Any suggestions you could offer?
Hey, several others have unfortunately had this issue, where one of the tabs doesn’t exactly fall into place. The best strategy is to just put on the retainer ring. The retainer ring should hold it solidly in place regardless of the issue. Hope you are able to get them working!!
@@dougcoleburn1579 I did not have any trouble. No trimming or anything like that. There is a lot of wire behind the light that had to be tucked away but that was easy.
Great videos. I have a 2016 JKU Sahara as well and I’m definitely doing the head and tail lights. I was just looking at the 305/70r18 Coopers too. What lift did you go with and do you like the ride? Thanks
Hey! I have a 2.5 in teraflex lift, I believe it is this one amzn.to/3DZ0y12 . I actually moved it from my old jeep, so it has been used for over 4 years and has held up great. I think it rides good, but i dont have anything to compare it too. I wasn’t able to tell a ride difference after switching from stock, but I didn’t pay too much attention to it.
Sorry for the late responses. They definitely don’t get hot like normal bulbs, so I doubt they could melt much snow or frost. Hopefully someone from a colder climate can chime in!
How do you get just the LEDs to come on by themselves? I hooked up into the fuse box. The only time the LEDs will stay on by themselves without the headlights is when it's in neutral. Soon as you take off emergency brake the lights come on
Your jeep is probably set to run the main beams all the time as DRLs. That's not standard for USA jeeps, but USA jeeps can be configured that way way to fix that would be to get a JSAN tool and change your jeep's DRL setting.
Thx for the video...got mine today after backordered. ? 2015 jku passenger side fit in the bucket fine but drivers side tabs don’t want to seat in the bucket around the 10-11 o’clock position leaving a gap. If anyone has any info or pictures I’d appreciate it. Thanks again
Hate that your having an issue with the lights :( I would try tightening on the retainer ring over the lights , as it should hold the headlight in place regardless of the fit. It may actually force the tab into place once you get it secured. Just something to try - thanks!
Tactical JK Thanks I did that and it did close the gap a I think the back of the light is hitting either the bucket or something behind it and I can’t get a good angle to see. I’m not a fan of jeeps headlight holding, aligning, and positioning design. I do like the lights and if they hold up it’ll be worth the effort to get them to fit
If its not 100% perfect, but close, you should be able to just mount the retainer ring and it should all hold up great. One notch on one of mine didn’t fit in all the way (a few mm off) but once I mounted the retainer ring everything was perfectly solid. I apologize for not mentioning that detail in the video ( I did/do not see it as an issue, but I definitely should have provided the information regardless). I hope you are able to get them working.
Thats awesome! After a year, I would definitely recommend these. No lens or light fading, moisture buildup, or flickering issues. I would definitely spend the bit extra on these vs. the cheaper designs on amazon based on my experience. At any rate, headlights are going to be an awesome upgrade for his jeep!!
@@TacticalJK Thanks for input. Got headlights installed and extremely pleased with performance. Clean gut off on low beams, a lot of light. We hooked up halo as just a day time light. Like the look. Bought simple fuse assembly that added a circuit to #6 switched fuse.. Easy. Thanks again.
I picked these up after watching your video, and really like the look of the lights! Unfortunately they don't seem to fit very well on my 2018 JKU. Only one of the tabs in the headlight bucket/mount lines up with the LED light. I'm hoping to figure out what I can trim/adjust to make them seat properly.
So Sorry for the late reply!!Im sure you have the issue fixed by now, but if not the fix seems to be just putting on the retainer ring. It should balance everything out and hold it solidly in place regardless of the issue. Hope you were able to get them working!
I have a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Big Bear. I bought these Audexen headlights and fog lights with the halo light. I had my mechanic instal them but they are not working as fully intended. He tells me it's because my lights are computer controlled. Does anyone know a way around this?
They have a flat cut off. You can see it well in at 5:00, where the headlights are shining against the wall. My old set of headlights had a similar issue to yours in that the low beam shined very high, as if the high beam was on all the time. These are more much better👍🏼
Have you noticed any major heat coming from the back of the headlight housing that has affected any of the Jeep wiring that is ran close to the back of the headlights once installed? I ordered a set but they fit so tight to all the wiring when pushed into mounting ring, I was thinking if they get hot it’ll melt some important wiring. As a rule, I thought LED lights produced a lot of heat that usually needs fans to cool them.
Hey! So I didn’t notice any issues when I took mine off a few weeks ago (to test some other stuff). I have had several 4 hr + night road trips with them on in the past few years. I don’t think they really get that hot.
I am not too hopeful on them lasting very long but for less than $200 its worth a shot. These people spending $800+ for a set of headlights are out of their fucking mind.
I got this light after watch this video. installed, Lights look and work fantastic. Was able to fuse tap into a fuse Box for the DRLs as well. Thanks for the video and review! But there is a problem, when headlight switch off, Low and High beam will be on when gear is not in P position. Everything is normal when headlight switch is on position. Do you know where is the problem came from? Thanks
Hey! It is likely that your Jeep is set to run the highbeams as a factory Daytime running light , so it sends power to the lights when the vehicle is in drive, but stops sending power when the vehicle is parked. This is not the normal setting for U.S.A Jeeps, but jeeps in many other countries are sold with that setting to meet regulations. It would have done that with the old headlights as well, if what I am thinking is true. If your jeep is set up to run the highbeams as DRL, then unfortunately the only way to turn that setting off would be to reprogram the Jeep.
I ended up buying these lights and installed them in my new 2020 JL. The stock lights were 9" and these are 7". When i put my grill back on after installing them, i noticed a 1/2 gap between the rubber ring on the headlight and the back of the grille headlight circle. It looks odd to me that they dont butt up to the back of the grille. Did i install wrong or is there another bracket that will move the lights further out so the are closer to the grille? Thanks!
Great video and tips! I just ordered mine on Amazon through your link, but it's saying delivery is between May 22nd and June 15th? is that Accurate? Do you know what I can do to get sooner?
Thank you😁! But I’m sorry to say I’m not sure about the delivery times😞 You may want to try contacting Audexen directly through their social media/website.
Great video. Was wondering how they are holding up now that you have had them on the jeep for some time now. I am in need of some new lights because my current LEDs are very unreliable. I like the looks of these a lot but don't want to deal with another finicky pair. Thanks!
Hello, I installed these on my Canadian spec 2012 Jeep Wrangler. The DRL halos work when the car is in park, however, when the car is in drive the high beams come on. Any idea how to address this? Thanks.
Hey! You are going to need to reprogram your Jeep and change the Canada spec DRL settings (high beam) to off. You will need the JSCAN app and a Bluetooth reader (about $40 invested). Here is a great video for that. I used the JSCAN app to change the tire size and other settings on my jeep and have been happy with it. ua-cam.com/video/nQRjod99_2w/v-deo.html
I didn’t tap into the front markers on the final setup, I tapped into the fog lights b/c of the way I have my jeep programmed. I am fairly sure that I tapped into the middle wire of the markers during the shot you referenced, but it did not work great as the Jeep set off a low light voltage check engine light, so I changed it. It might could work tho, but I wouldn’t recommend that method from my experience
Awesome video dude, had a lot of problems with different headlights on my Jk and I saw these lights and the price, and was kind of suspicious about them cause also saw some bad amazon reviews but they definitely look like solid lights for the price. Awesome video!
Hey dude, just got the exact same headlight as yours, put it on this evening, the new LED headlight seems project much higher light than the stock headlight, wondering if you had the same issue, is there any solutions? Tried the Headlight adjustment next to the hazard, still too high, there's two screws inside the headlight cup, tried, that only adjust the headlight from left to right slightly
Hey! So you tired the adjuster that I used at 5:00 in the video? Thats the only way I know to bring them down, but it had a ton more adjustment than I needed in my case
Do these lights cause glare for oncoming cars - I’ve previously brought led 7inch for my Jeep and despite adjusting to correct height, the light pattern causes glare and I often get oncoming vehicles flash lights at me ?
I just read the new things on the amazon link, and I think the seller is just making a note every time someone has an issue, but idk. I don’t see a reason why it wouldn’t fit all models years since the JKs are all pretty much the exact same
Have you had any moisture buildup in the headlights yet? Thats kinda a concern for me. Im yet trying to decide wht headlight and taillights to go with. Im liking your headlights and taillights alot.
Nope. The jeep has been stored outside the whole time as well, so I’m very happy with that. The matching tail lights have seen a bit of plastic fading on the top
Hey! So after a year or so, I have had no issues. The lights and halos are still just as bright and there are is no fading or flickering. I would 100% recommend them.
I got these for pretty cheap and am Curious why I can’t get them straight. The middle light is slightly slanted as it doesn’t fit properly. Any tips? Great video btw
Hey! I am not sure about getting the straight, I only know how to adjust them horizontally and vertically. I might would try getting them aligned straight (even uf they don’t fit in the notches right) and then tightening the retaining ring down in whatever position they are in. I would think the retaining ring could hold it in place even if everything doesn’t align perfectly in the brackets. Hope you are able to get it working!!!
Hey! I would try installing and tightening the retainer ring even if they aren’t sitting flush. Mine did not fit 100% as flush as stock (one of the three main perimeter notches didnt press in as far as the others by a few mm) , but I never considered it an issue, as the retainer ring holds in the lights securely. I hope you are able to get them working!
@@TacticalJK I was able to get them on there by tightening the ring into place. It seems to be holding the headlight on ok. I’d prefer these to sit as flush as the stock ones but hey that’s made in China for us all. Wish an US company made these better in the USA instead.
They pass by my review. Halos and headlights are still just as bright, and haven’t had any issues with fading or flickering. Hopefully someone can provide a longer-term review than mine!
HI, Amazing video! I just bought one pair, however I dont know how to install the Day light running light..Could you please explain? I dont deals with cable and pretty much Im learning but I think I can do it, but not sure where to connect the cables...could you please explain in detail..like 101..or step by step. I will appreciate your help.
Ok, no prob. I would watch some videos on “installing jeep halo headlights” as they tend to go into more detail than I did. Basically you need to push on the drl cables (one per headlight) onto the connection of the headlight, and then run the wires to the fuse box. If the wires are too short, you can strip the end of the wires, and then connect them both to a single 18 gauge wire that runs into the fuse box. The goal is to tap into a fuse inside the fuse box that only has power when the jeep is running. So you are going to want to go into the fuse box with the wire, by either cutting a small notch in the edge of by drilling through the side, and then connect a fuse tap to you wire by crimping the connection of the fuse tap onto your wire. Then, you will want to look up a fuse to tap into for your model year, or you can just trial and error by pulling out a fuse, replacing it with the fuse tap (with the fuse inside the fuss holder of the tap) and then see if the halos turn on when the jeep is in the run position (the last click of the key before you turn the engine on , the one that allows the air conditioner to blow) but not when the key is off. I did this tapping into the fuse box in my last video, so it will be a helpful good watch. I will leave another comment with it linked and the time code.
The install was super easy but after testing the lights on DRL setting while gear on DRIVE, all LEDs are on instead of having just the halo on. Tested it while parked and only Halo is on(which is what I also want when car is on DRIVE) . I wired DRL wire directly into the fuse box and took power from my cigarette lighter which is only on when ignition is on. I also tested the lights with power disconnected from DRL and all LEDs are still on even when I just have my lights on DRL setting while gear is on DRIVE. Any suggestions on how to only have the halo lights on during DRL setting? Could the wiring be wrong on H4 - H14 adapter that was provided in the box?
Hey, it sounds like your jeep is set to run the low beam of the headlights as DRLs whenever it is in drive. So, when you shift into drive, the low beam of the headlight turns on (this also turns on the halo drl of the headlights, even if it is not connected). Do you know if this in the case?
It is very unlikely that the wiring is wrong, given the situation you have described. I am fairly sure your jeep is just set to run the headlights as DRLs. I believe this would be the standard for jeeps over in Europe, but Jeeps in the USA should be set to not have a DRL from the factory (this is what you want if you wire straight to the fuse box). So, if you have reprogrammed you jeep to run a DRL, try turning that setting off. If you did not program your jeep to do that, you could test to see if the low beam activates when in drive with the stock headlights, and if so, then that is the problem! Please let me know any more questions and of how it turns out!
Tactical JK You’re exactly right! My low beams are set to run as DRLs. It came like that from the factory which is weird because I live in Canada. You’d think all Jeeps in North American would be the same. Is there anyway around having to use a programmer to change the setting?
Thanks! Its a smittybilt XRC MOD front bumper! I made a review video for it a few years ago if your wanna check it out ( really old vid tho😬). I have been happy with it!
Im not sure... trial and error is usually the way I find out! I believe it is different for different year models. Hopefully someone else in the comments can be more helpful!
@@TacticalJK sorry 2 more question. Did you splice the left DRL with the right and wire one wire to the fuse box? Also, what kind of connection plugs into the fuse box?
Anyone have trouble getting these to fit? I have 2012 JKU. Only two of the three tabs will seat correctly. The top left tab is about 5-6 mm away from seating. Any thoughts?
@@TacticalJK Thanks for getting back to me! I'll have to get one for my Wrangler. How do you like the headlights? They look great! Are those the silver version?
Thanks! I haven’t had any issues with them since the install, so i would definitely recommend them. And those in the video are actually black version👍🏼
Haven’t had any issues at all. No lens or light fading, moisture, or flickering. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the opportunity to test out the JL adapter harnesses, but the lights themselves have proven to be solid.
Hey I just got these headlights and installed them. Only things is my low beams aren’t working only have the high beams. Did you run into this problem?
@@TacticalJK it’s both. I swapped out the new ones for the old ones and for awhile I had no low beam but now back to normal. I think it has to do with the wiring harness coming from my Jeep.

Thanks!
I don’t know the answer to this, but hopefully someone in the comments can help!
they have bracket for it, I just ordered one
Great Job. Headed over to buy them now. Ty
Great review., thanks. Which fog lights would you suggest to pair with these headlights? tail lights also please? 2007 sahara
I made a vid on the taillights, and they are great: ua-cam.com/video/GOGIskrlpEc/v-deo.html
As far as fog lights, unfortunately haven’t test any!
Thanks!
Hey! So I haven’t had any issues so far. No flickering, no fading, and just as bright as before. I’m very happy with them
How have these headlights preformed after you installed them? Are you still happy with them?
Yes, have been running them for years now and zero issues. Im really impressed with them
wondering how these lights are keeping up since you installed them few months back. Thanks.
They still are working great and looking the same. No change that I can tell
Do you know if these are available for a 2019 JL?
Yes they are, here is a link: amzn.to/2LtlEeh
Are they available for Jeep Wrangler sport 2021? Not sure if it’s jl or not..
@@TacticalJK Thank you! Much appreciated!
Great video. What color (hot) wire did you tap into for the Halos from the front direction/markers @ 4:39
Thanks!
These look amazing and would definitely be an upgrade on my current setup. Hope I win! 👍
Best of luck to you!
This review was so good I stopped looking at the other LEDS that's was about to buy and order these instead. They be in today 😎 Thanks
Glad you found it helpful!
@@TacticalJK unfortunately my 89 raider wouldn't power them up🤷🏾♂️
Same here , watched the video and put an order . Thanks .
I just installed a pair today can't wait for it to get dark
How can it be that the LED ring is connected to the Blicker?
Hey dude, just got the exact same headlight as yours, put it on this evening, the new LED headlight seems project much higher light than the stock headlight, wondering if you had the same issue, is there any solutions? Tried the Headlight adjustment next to the hazard, still too high, there's two screws inside the headlight cup, tried, that only adjust the headlight from left to right slightly
Hey! So you tired the adjuster that I used at 5:00 in the video? Thats the only way I know to bring them down, but it had a ton more adjustment than I needed in my case
Does this fit on a 2022 jeep witout any codification or dash light?
Do these lights cause glare for oncoming cars - I’ve previously brought led 7inch for my Jeep and despite adjusting to correct height, the light pattern causes glare and I often get oncoming vehicles flash lights at me ?
Yes, I got a lot because of the DRL is both low and high beam on
Are those headlights the black or silver ? I’m looking to buy the exact ones you got on your JK
They are the black ones
The Amazon link states they don’t fit on 2013 & 2015 Wranglers. Is there a reason why they say they won’t work on those years?
I just read the new things on the amazon link, and I think the seller is just making a note every time someone has an issue, but idk. I don’t see a reason why it wouldn’t fit all models years since the JKs are all pretty much the exact same
Have you had any moisture buildup in the headlights yet? Thats kinda a concern for me. Im yet trying to decide wht headlight and taillights to go with. Im liking your headlights and taillights alot.
I would definitely still recommend both. No issues with any moisture in either the headlights or taillights👍🏼
@@TacticalJK thanks!
Looks good! Thanks for sharing and good job and explaining!
Thanks!!!!!!!
I have a 2006 liberty, do you think these will fit ?
Thanks! I got these, installing this weekend. I like your jeep, what size rubber do you have? Is it lifted? Thanks again!
Thanks!!! 2.5 in teraflex lift with 35 in stt pros!
@@TacticalJK I was hoping you’d say that! Beautiful, really like the stock rims but big look
After 2 years, are they fading or becoming yellow?
Nope. The jeep has been stored outside the whole time as well, so I’m very happy with that. The matching tail lights have seen a bit of plastic fading on the top
Those are awesome, would love to score a set.
Thanks! Good luck
Hi. I just bought a pair of these from Loyo. What's are your 'long term' thoughts on the LED headlights? Thanks!
Hey! So after a year or so, I have had no issues. The lights and halos are still just as bright and there are is no fading or flickering. I would 100% recommend them.
@@TacticalJK That's good news!! Thank you
I got these for pretty cheap and am Curious why I can’t get them straight.
These do NOT sit flush on 2013 JKU Sahara. The back housing is too large and won’t fit inside of the housing. How did you get them to sit properly?
Did you have any problems With your headlighs?
Are you still using them?
Regards mauro.
Great job you did there, I really liked your video! Subscribed, hope to see more!
Thank you. I really appreciate it!!!
easiest way to run the DRL is to splice into the middle wire of the turn signal/parking light.
Will this work on a 20 JL ? If not, which do you recommend for a 20 JL? Thanks!
Hey the one that you got black or silver?
They are the black ones👍🏼
@@TacticalJK thanks
Didn’t really wanna go through all the comments but would they fit a 22 wrangler jl
not without an adapter, they do have adapter kits though if you wanna
Hey, these lights look sweet! Any reviews of long term use?
They pass by my review. Halos and headlights are still just as bright, and haven’t had any issues with fading or flickering. Hopefully someone can provide a longer-term review than mine!
I am planning to buy one for my motorcycle. Will it work?
Here is the motorcycle version. Hopefully it has the info! amzn.to/3jq1elL
@@TacticalJK Thanks much
@@TacticalJK Is there any other headlight better than that? I want the best 7 inch headlight for my motorcycle.

Tactical JK wow thanks for the explanation!! YOU ROCK!
No problem. Hope it helps!
Tactical JK Great educational video! Cheers for that!
Mark Reyes Try appcar
or Jscan to re program what sets of lights you want as drl’s and you can change the headlight type in there too.
Great video.how are these lights holding up ?
Haven’t had any issues at all. No fading or flickering. Would recommend!
What front bumper do you have? Looks nice
Thanks! Its a smittybilt XRC MOD front bumper! I made a review video for it a few years ago if your wanna check it out ( really old vid tho😬). I have been happy with it!
Great video pal!! I have the same lights in my tj wrangler 2004 and those lights gives my Jeep a nice touch
Thanks! Im sure they look great on your rig!
Which fuse do i need to use for day time running?
Im not sure... trial and error is usually the way I find out! I believe it is different for different year models. Hopefully someone else in the comments can be more helpful!
@@TacticalJK sorry 2 more question. Did you splice the left DRL with the right and wire one wire to the fuse box? Also, what kind of connection plugs into the fuse box?
Anyone have trouble getting these to fit? I have 2012 JKU. Only two of the three tabs will seat correctly. The top left tab is about 5-6 mm away from seating. Any thoughts?
You will have to enlarge the black mounting bracket in order for the headlights to sit flush.
Where did you get the silver grille accents from?
Hey! Those are actually stock that 2016 Sahara. Im not sure if they can be bought!
Will these work the same way in a Canadian JLU?
Are these available for the 2020 gladiator? Got the gladiator sport
Great job on the video dude. Really well done. Just subscribed. Look forward to the others.
Thanks so much!!
How are these holding up? Im considering buying these for my jl with an adapter
Hey. I didn’t have that problem, and I don’t think I have heard of anyone else having it. Are you having an issue with both headlights, or just one?
@@TacticalJK it’s both. I swapped out the new ones for the old ones and for awhile I had no low beam but now back to normal. I think it has to do with the wiring harness coming from my Jeep.
