So I'm not trying to be too critical, but being an experienced cobia angler from OBX and the CBBT, I was taught by my first charter guide (DOA Charters, Donnie Davis) how to locate and catch Cobia in NC. On subsequent charters, and then from my own boat, for decades, we caught Cobe's up to 86lbs (ua-cam.com/video/-XnD_RijQdg/v-deo.html). Charter captains should "teach" how its done once, then allow the paying charter fisherman to cast and catch on charter trips! Nice job catching and video work.
Robbie would be the last person I’d book a trip with, you gotta let the customers cast and set the hook, anyone can find fish in the bay but it takes a good captain to teach his clients and to let them cast at the fish
@@coolerfullofish caleb is using a mojo inshore by St. Croix if that’s the rod in question (the teal one) ! He is using the same specs you listed above, find this rod and more here -> fishoceanseast.com/products/st-croix-mojo-inshore-spinning-p-scmojos?_pos=1&_psq=Moj&_ss=e&_v=1.0

@@OceansEastright on, thanks. Seems like those specs are the sweet spot. Anything less just feels under gunned
What rod and reels are you all using?
We are using a mix of setups, but Robbie uses the new Penn Clash & Spinfisher reels on Fenwick HMG inshore rods. All available at Oceans East!
Why don’t you let the guys at the bottom cast?
Bc robbie is a jerk. He also kills undersize fish regularly.
Nonsense. That’s why he has a big my NET!
bait used? thanks
