  • This video shows many of the Staaker's flying modes in a training drive I did to teach myself how best to fly a Staaker drone. This session I'm driving our 1967 Plymouth Satellite. Practice is essential to learning how to handle the Staaker in the challenging environment around roads, with trees and power lines..

Hey Arthur. Awesome set of videos on the Staaker! Even the repair video was very insightful. I’ve had a DJI Mavic for about a year, but watching numerous user videos of the Staaker convinced me to pull the plug and order one. I really liked how you tweaked the position while tracking to avoid hitting stuff, well mostly😀......I’ll be using mine around the water which means a different set of issues compared to trees and elevation changes.

When you say manual landing is that flying it all the way to the ground or just placing it where you want to land and using land now? I just got my Staaker and have only used it a couple of times but it seem to be doing great.

Congratulations on your Staaker! Good question. I fly it to a safe position and used "Land Now". I haven't flown it all the way to the ground, because I don't how to give it a "Power Off" command. In the "Land Now" mode, I think it just flies downwards until it detects the bump into ground, then shuts power to the propellers. The internal control system still stays energized. Have you been to the Staaker FaceBook page? There is some good discussion there too. The next thing I hope to explore is a streaming feed from my GoPro 5, so I can control the camera and drone a little better, but I read online the GoPro 5 software for this stinks.
