  • An 11 minute compilation from a beautiful day of driving our 1967 Plymouth Satellite around the countryside of upstate New York.. This is a factory 383/2bbl car, with a column shift 727 TorqueFlite transmission and a 3.23 "open" rear differential. It was delivered new to a customer in Evergreen, Colorado. We found it for sale by a subsequent owner from Golden, CO in March 2002 and drove it 2,000 trouble-free miles home to New York. The 67 Satellite convertible was at the top of my "bucket list" since I first laid eyes on a Turbine Bronze '67 GTX when I was 12 years old. I love Mopar convertibles and the GTX was just too expensive. I lucked into this rare factory big block and never letting it go. It's been a fantastic car, we've put over 20,000 miles on it, and it's never broken down. It runs well on non-ethanal 91 octane and takes easy regular maintenance. A total of 1,370 Satellite Convertibles were delivered for the 1967 model year. I once saw a production breakdown that reported 7% of all '67 Satellites were delivered with the G-code 383/2bbl, which makes this possibly one of 96 built, but that's a best guess. It's been repainted once in the original DD1 Light Blue Metallic, at which time the lower Argent accent paint that is typical for all '67 Satellites was covered over.. The interior is a nice P6B Dark Blue, and the top is factory White. Thanks for watching.
    Cheers, - Art

Good morning Art, thank you for that nice Saturday morning drive. Your Plymouth reminds me of my first car. A 1965 Dodge
Monaco, a sharp car, gray body, black top, 2 door auto on the floor with bucket seats. A 383 that would pass everything
but a gas station. A 25 gallon tank that would cost $11.00 to fill. Thanks again - Rich

Another great ride. Thanks Arthur. I was so close to buying a 67 Satellite. Turns out the body had a bunch of rust. Do you ever make it to Moparfest in New Hamburg Ontario? Late August.

Hey, good morning and thank you Mike! Sorry to hear the Satellite you almost got was basket case.. Yes, I remember hearing great things about Moparfest a few years ago... a bunch of people from Moparts.com were going to it. I'd love to make the trip some day. Canada is such a fantastic country to visit and vacation, glad to have you as our neighbors. So far we've been to Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City. I recently got "hooked" on a UA-cam channel, "coldwarmotors" - I think they are in Western Canada, a fun bunch of guys, into Mopars and Citroens.. Cheers! - Art
