I wonder if you had placed a small circle of papyrus on the metal mold if it wouldn’t have helped with heat conduction and maybe not had the breakage issue? Love the cosmic frit effect and very clever circle cutting technique!
Hello Jeff, I’ve enjoyed all of the verities and techniques used in your larger pieces. I have learned a lot and have used your techniques. I have several slumping molds and do well with them. What I haven’t tried is using a drop mold. That seems more difficult so I would like to see a detailed method for for this type of project. Thank you!
Thank you for your video. I did some draping and find the inside of my drape once it’s been fired it has a very matte finish. Can you get a nice high polish or satin polish once it’s draped? Fire polishing won’t work with the drape method, or am I wrong? 😊
Not that I'm aware of. You are right, a fire polish temp is higher than a slump or drape and thus the piece will start changing shape again. I wish I could be of more help.
Brilliant, the blue reacted beautifully with the orange. Shame about the slump maybe the bowl was a little to small for the piece 🤷🏻♂️gotta get me one of them ring saws (will have to see the bank mgr😂) it certainly made cutting circles a lot easier. Thanks again Jeff, I will definitely give this a go 😀
Thank you. I just bought a round bowl and found that the tool I have is not very good. The bowl is 28 cm. I have tried cutting by hand. Round will be a challenge.
Hi All. If you're interested in making fused glass part sheets using frit here's a video - ua-cam.com/video/YySLXBorHaY/v-deo.html
Great project. Gave me many ideas. Why anyone would give a thumbs down is beyond me. Love your channel!
Thanks Keith. I suppose we are all different and have different tastes. Thank heavens we are! 😀 Boring world otherwise.
@@RocketRoseArt that is true, but silence is often golden.
I appreciate all your videos. I have learned a lot and watch almost all of them.
Thank you brilliant idea
Hi Susan. It's just a pity it broke, but it's growing on me more and more.

Hi Caroline. That's an idea worth trying. I haven't had the problem before, but I'm always open to suggestion so I'll give it a go.
Very nice, loved the colors and learned some new techniques!
Hi Gwen. Thanks. Can I ask, do you have a specific type of tutorial in mind, or just want a variety?

Hi Ed. Hope you're well. Yes, love the ring saw. Circles are great but also fantastic for complex shapes.
Amazing
Thank you.
Hi, where did you get the guide that fits onto the taurus saw! Amazing way to cut circles!
Hi Rosalind. At the time I purchased the saw I also purchased some accessories. You should be able to get it from the same supplier as the machine.
Another great Video, Love yor tips. Did not have the accesorY kit for my Taurus but just got it and thanks for the informatipon.
Hi Gym. My pleasure. How the accessories make life a little easier, and more enjoyable.
Love it! Could you not just use a slump mold? Kathie 🐢
Hi Kathie. Yes you can, if you have one the shape you require. I draped it so I could get a wavy result. Didn't want a uniform bowl shape.
What is the largest circle you can make on your ring saw using this method?
Hi Judith. 25-26 cm, depending on how well you've roughed out the circle. A square piece will be much smaller.
