What a fun project! I was envisioning how fun that would be with dots or dots and stripes (strips? lol), even a lovely tic-tac-toe board, or checker board pattern with alternating colors. The possibilities are endless. Thank you Jeff, I thoroughly enjoy your videos and learn a lot! 👍😊
Hi Rosalind. The tomato red is much brighter than the plain red. Funny though, I'm sure that years ago the red was brighter. Might just be my memory!! 😀
This came out beautifully. I love the red and turquoise. It is perfect for the opposite theme. Reaction is cool too. Another great project 👍🏻. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Jeff, I think it turned out beautifully. I appreciate your explanation of your thought process in terms of the colors you used, the way you came to decide on them (testing different colors before deciding), and the clear frit you used to erase the devit. (I am brand new at this and I'm learning so much from those of you who take the time to post your projects.) Thank you!
Really love the unique look of this piece. I will be doing this sometime. And you have convinced me I need to make the sample pieces, too. They will be next full fused I do. Thanks for all the info you provide, it’s great.
@@RocketRoseArt what makes your videos enjoyable is your calm demeanor. I watch dry bar comedy on youtube to get laughs, but I watch yours to learn. You are quite successful in that.
Hi Marcia. The mould is one that I designed and had made from stainless steel. At 22:44 in this video - ua-cam.com/video/yqUAkM2hm7U/v-deo.html - you can see the shape. It was made from sheet stainless steel. You can see the sheet steel folds down and under to make the feet at each end, with a gentle curve between. You could get it made in any size. If you need the exact dimension let me know. I think it cost me about $40 AUD to have made. Much cheaper than any I could purchase. But the main reason was I couldn't find anything with that shape.
Hi Melissa. Not all my previous videos have Project Notes. I started this just recently. Only the ones that have the Project Notes mentioned in the description with a specific number that you can search for on my website.
Hi Wanda. Any where the two colours touch you will get a reaction. Adding clear glass powder between the glasses will stop the reaction, but I would fire the powder to one colour first. In this piece, the reaction is what I wanted and I can't see how that could be stopped, given all the individual pieces, other than using non-reactive colours. Hope this helps.
Great video, reminds me of an alien desert landscape with strange trees with red sky. I couldn't work out the crystal clear, was it somehow for the reaction.or had you run out of tekta.
Hi Jeff, Awesome piece. What colour do you reckon would be a good opposite for lime green? Also, would it be ok to use clear fine frit instead of power to cover a piece for the fire polish or is the fine too grainy? Cheers Ed
Hi Ed. I think I'd be looking at the deep mauve, violet and pink colours. The exact shade can make a big difference. Best is to put them together and looking for that pleasing compliment. I'm not an expert in colour. Just know what works for me. Though it depends on my mood. 😁
Hi Everyone. If you haven't watched my video on making those colour reaction samples, here's a link to it. ua-cam.com/video/1GOMnUkpzkU/v-deo.html
I've got so much to learn from you. I appreciate that you give the mm on everything...I assumed that the clear frit was fine that you applied.
On this piece, yes it is clear. Not that you can't use a colour, but of course it will add a tint over your entire piece.
I really like the red and turquoise
Me too.
Love, love, love it! Colors take me back to my childhood state, New Mexico. Have to make this one for sure!
Hi Gwen. Hope you're well. Nice to hear from you. Hope you do give it a go. Stay safe.
Turned out great! Appreciate seeing the clear frit step too, I always wonder how much is enough!
A bit of an educated guess. Enough to cover well.
Thanks!
Thank you Kathy. Your support is fantastic. It's appreciated greatly.
Beautiful! Two of my favorite colors.
Thank you.

Absolutely. There are so many simple techniques that can be reworked into wonderful designs. 🤔
Thank you so much, I enjoyed watching and learning from your process. Now to try it here Las Vegas NV :D
Have fun Marlin. All the best with it.
Like this design!
Glad you like it!
Pleasing balance, vibrant colours! Must get some tomato red!😄

It’s magnificent, keep these kinds of projects coming!
Hi Jim. Thanks for all your comments. Really appreciate it.
Very nice. I like the paddle shape.
Hi Stephanie. Me too. It has me thinking about ways to use that effect.
Very nice thank you.
Thanks Rhonda.
just starting to try fusing, thanks for this informative video, I love it!!

Thank you. Would adding clear powder BEFORE the first firing prevent the reactiveness?

Estou muito feliz e obrigado.
What strip cutter system are you using...? Beetle Bits ....?
Thank you 🙂
Yes Sally. The Beetle Bits cutting system.
@@RocketRoseArt Thank you for the information & taking the time to reply - have a beautiful day 🙂
Why do add the clear frit?
Is that just to add thickness and shine?
Hi Jimmy
There was a small amount of devitrification that needed correcting with the clear frit. When fused that will end up with a nice polish.
Great video, reminds me of an alien desert landscape with strange trees with red sky. I couldn't work out the crystal clear, was it somehow for the reaction.or had you run out of tekta.
Hi Paul. Good observation. I'd just run out of Tekta. I wouldn't normally, considering it's a lot more expensive. Just waiting for delivery.

What is the required temperature?
Hi. You'll find all the firing details in the video description.
Boa tarde, o que é este pó branco.
Para que serve, é para da drilho ?
Se você quer dizer o que eu estava examinando na peça, isso é vidro transparente.
If your colored glass is not food safe, can you cap it with clear????
Yes, according Bullseye, you can. That will reduce any risk substantially.
@@RocketRoseArt good, thank you.
