well your using the missiles wrong, they use FOV IRCCM so a shot under 1km is pretty much a guarantied kill.
it's pretty irrelevant tbh
considering the rather insane br increase for a marginal upgrade
even as a on ground battles it ain't a big difference

I disagree what you say about magic 2 missiles personally, if you fire them rear aspect their super hard to flare, they got similar IRCCM to R73 and in the next update their getting a huge buff to their manoeuvrability
If you take into account the lack of maneuverability (leading more not firing much under 2km) they can be effective on head-ons too.
I usually don't bother on the M2K, but not being able to chase opponents, on the Jaguar it's worth trying. It'll be much better after they update them.
i bought this plane on marketplace for 19 euro, so far i am happy. it's not a perfect aircraft but it's good enough for me
It can be used to do stuff, but so far its just sad to play. If you are uptiered and have a Mig-29 or F-16 on your 6 you are just dead. Nothing you can do then.

To be fair, that's kinda true on full downtiers too. Not much you can escape from at 1.02M and with that acceleration. I actually prefer uptiers because being bottom of the barrel you're not a priority target.
It would be really nice if you could make videos on the VG.33, J 22, D.500/501/510, Re.2000/2002, and/or Fokker D.XXI. They're real hidden gems that none of the CCs seem to cover.

Watching you take all aspect missile shots at 4km hurts my soul,
If you want kills than do rear aspect shots dude, they have a R-73 seeker head,
(I think the seekers are actually the same exact thing entirely in the files)
The seekers are completely different in the files, but they have the same IRCCM FOV.

(Not a meme) Britain seriously has a major issue with the BR given to a lot of its vehicles, people state “ah Britain sucks” the br system is supposed to be the balancing factor so I don’t get why it’s not re-done for vehicles just like this!
For those that say it wouldn’t be fare to have all aspects at a lower BR look at the su25 and then the A10 with its but load of flares, this jet would be fine at 10.3 plus it’d then line up with the other GB vehicles.
How about.. nobody gets all aspect missiles that can face flareless planes lmao

Magic 2s in game have a lot of drag so they don’t have much range after the motor runs out of fuel so shots under 2km will give a high probability for a kill. The gatewidth IRCCM is not active off the rails and takes about 1 second for the seeker head FOV to actually shrink. That being said, the right plane at the wrong BR explains pretty much every tech tree aside from Russia.

I won't lie, it's slow. But as Tankestein says, it's very maneuverable.
The missiles are very short range and better on rear aspect (and are a sure kill under 2km rear aspect). Overall I haven't had problems with it's performance
I can't speak to the IS (I ended up short on the second challenge so have to do one more still) but while it's really more a pain when the it's the guys actually in 12.3 BR planes that managed to make it they get 12.0 BR MM. It's also likely the stock grind, especially for the F-4E at that level, unless it's some other plane than the US tech tree one I'm unaware of. Once you get some of the upgrades to plane performance for a bit better speed and mobility, and especially once you get the upgraded Sparrows (and learn how to get them to work) and AIM-9J's it can actually hold it's own against the F-16, F-14's and most of the actual 12.0/11.7 planes. It can also work against F-15's and other 12.3+ planes, but it is way harder and more annoying - especially with the things like 9M's that just ignore CM and make you wonder why you even have them. I've spent a lot of time in the 11.0 US planes recently since some (like the 4E/J and A-10) still need upgrades to be spaded, and trying to unlock the last of the US camos I don't have like the F-105 (though I've sort of given up on the F-111) and you really gotta know who you can fight what way. Good lock and keeping your nose pointed to lead the E-2's can sometimes ignore chaff (if they even use it and not flares only) to still score hits and can actually be used decently from long range and even mid range, gotta remember your a heavy plane so don't always expect to out turn guys, gotta out think them. Stock grind is hell, but once you get some of those upgrades, get familiar with the plane and how people play those higher BR ones, you'll probably find the F-4E isn't as outclassed by higher BR as it seems at first. Especially compared to the F-105 and F-111.
Honestly, other than planes of a certain nation we all know, especially from my perspective in Arcade where some planes actually have an even higher BR than RB/SB - they seem to put WAY too much emphasis on how much/what kind of ordnance a plane can carry, speed, and how many cannons it has/what type. It's easier to look at it from the US end because I have spent a lot of time on that line recently (only Rank 7 camo I don't have is the F-111, and a couple short of the 105's, halfway done research on the F-16 ADF and C with the F-15 unlocked and just needing credits or better yet a sale) and just a lot of things do not belong at the BR's their in, and the only reason they seem to be is those reasons listed above. The 9.0 Saber is literally the same stats as the one 7.7 BR one - it's literally just 4x cannons instead of 6x MG which maybe, moves it to 8.3 like other similarly armed planes. The F-104 yeah is fast and a 20 mm rotary - but not 9.7 fast, especially only packing 9B's and no flares 9.3 maybe (and I mean, I down those things with my F9F-8 and A-4, and not necessarily with missiles either). Then you have the F-84F, 105, and 111 that if they didn't have the payloads they did, would probably be lower BR's where they belong and not 9.0, 10.7 and 11.0 respectively. The 84F should maybe be 8.3, the 105 at best 9.7, and the F-111 10.0 - especially with the AIM-9B which I find at best dubious to be limited to since A: the 105D has 9E's - which was being phased out for the F-111, and B: the 9B's were being phased out/rebuilt in to 9E's and other variants at the time of it's initial testing in combat.
And even in the lower BR's it seems to play out across most of the nations. I'm the weird guy who hasn't finished a tech tree yet or gotten ace crews cause I play all the lines and types (and a years long break between a PC issue and being irritated with the games state a few years back), and I've noticed it's a recurring pattern. A couple weeks back alternate to US I was getting the camos for all the rank 1-3 planes of Germany and also finally grinding some more of the Russian line since the Rank 3 planes I had back in the day were now only rank 2 and getting those camos, and the difference was insane. I did good in the German fighters, got some research down on some foldered planes and Rank 4's I hadn't done yet from a rush to the 262, but I absolutely chewed through RU getting all the Rank 3's unlocked and in to Rank 4 with some of the Rank 2's not even spaded yet cause I'm racking up 12, 15, 20+ kills like it's (nothing so constant double XP on top of premium and any boosters thanks to the skill bonus). The fact that the La-5/F are only 3.3 BR, .3 higher than the F6F, the MG armed F4U, and the F4F, the same BR as the P-39N-0, and .4 lower than the P-51C absolutely just blows my mind.
After new br decompression this might be a bit better

Exactly my thought, a great aircraft but in a very bad br.
It's a British plans, of course it's at a horrendous BR and will get constant uptiers
So basically its been damned to the same fate as the SU-25BM...
once the new magic 2's come out the jaguar is should be better, but uncertain how it will perform because it is still quite flarable and has a very short range
Man they should make an Indian tech tree.... It would have Indian, Russian, British, American as well as Israeli equipment. Very versatile
Using magic 2’s from 4km is never gonna turn out great, usually they are very good within 2.5km rear aspect
Funny thing is the only phantom at this BR that should be able to take all-aspect IR missiles, is the F-4S; and it doesnt get them.
Also, 18:14; A-6E Tram can carry more bombs, but it is worse in every way due to said bombs not working properly and the other issues the TRAM has. They're broken right now in a way that makes the plane almost unusable with them. Its currently better using dumb weaopons. Even "if" they fix the bombs (they never will because fuck USA is the motto at Gaijin among others) the A-6E is shit due to its myriad of other issues.

After playing the Mistubishi F-1 this thing is okay
I have been using f5-c missiles, and these ones feel like magic (no pun intended). I just fire at 2.5/3km and get kills. just lovely

It makes infinitely more sense to fly the Mirage F1 in 11.3... Has 2 magics, 2 good-ish radar missiles, it's much faster, it turns better.. It's just WAY better in every way in Air RB.... If i manage to grind the freaking coupon points i'll sell mine without a second thought, it's useless for anyone not playing Ground, and hearing from you and other guys that also do ground, it's kinda meh for ground RB as well so... We got Gaijined...

This thing needs to be placed at 10.3-10.7. Just having a single AT weapon more doesnt justify such an increase. By their logic the a10 should be 11.3...

can't wait to see CL-13B's fighting Magic 2's, very fun, very balanced. All aspect missile slingers belong above 11.0, dead stop. It's not an AIR RB aircraft. It's a strike fighter.

They're like that irl as well, there's tons of footage of them missing targets in Ukraine. Fact is they're designed to be lightweight and cheap (by American standards) that means essentially they're not very good. Sure they can hit something that doesn't see them coming, but if you're expecting them and maneuvering and flaring they often don't hit
